Haha, I'm glad someone got the "not yet" comment. I don't understand why some get so hot and bothered by others playing Christmas music or seeing Christmas decor pop up in the stores in September and October. It doesn't bother me at all. Frankly I like browsing the Christmas decor before it gets all picked over. I love Fall and Halloween and enjoy it to the fullest.

If We and When I Saw You are two of my favorite songs that never got enough love. Both should have been singles.

Not yet, lol. Mariah will officially kick of the Christmas season on 11/01. I say play whatever music you want in the privacy of your home. I was singing Christmas carols yesterday and my spouse reminded me that it's too early. Bah, humbug. We love everyone.

Tuesday was the 17th anniversary of my second favorite Toni Braxton album of all time - Libra. I just purchased the rare bonus tracks edition.

I also love me some Toni. I haven't listen to any of her albums from start to finish, but her first two albums, "Toni Braxton" and "Secrets". I just got "The Heat" album, I'll listen to it closely.

Are you kidding me? The Heat is one of my all time favorite albums. I know I've said this here before but that's an album I can listen to now and still sounds just as fresh as it did then and there are no skips. Fairytale being the best song on there. I love me some Toni Braxton, love her voice, her tone, her everything. I still want an MC collaboration with her. Long as I Live was soooo good, I get emotional with this one. Sex and Cigarettes was good too.

I never thought a day would come when I would "betray" the original version of The Roof. I find myself now enjoying the latest retake with Brandy more and more. MC knew exactly what she was doing, there is maturity, rawness, delicacy to it. Wow.

I am already looking forward to listening to my Christmas vinyl this year. I have some rare R&B Christmas vinyl. Maybe I will start listening to them in two weeks. I am definitely going to listen to my 98 Degrees, Megan Trainor, and Teddy Swims this year.

Saturday Night Live performances (101,366)
by MC1989 from Spain

I think that there might be some problems with the copyright of Mariah's performances in SNL. Since she started celebrating her 30 years in the music industry and the whole MC30 surprises where she finally opened the vault and gave us The Rarities, restored videos and TV performances, she didn't upload any of her SNL performances. Now, with Butterfly 25 it's happening the same. It's a pity because all her SNL performances are amazing, some of the best live interpretations she did. Vision of Love in SNL in 1990, If It's Over and Can't Let Go in 1992, My All and Butterfly in SNL in 1997 etc. Instead they uploaded some of the TOTP performances, some of them are great but instead some are lipped, like My All, and that's the one she will put in her YouTube Channel as I see in the Butterfly 25 clip.

It's 70 million in the US alone, the certifications are from RIAA. Mariah has sold 200 million worldwide.

The numbers are so confusing (101,363)
by Randy from USA

So now it's 70 million sold. And she's the top selling female artist. But MC often runs around saying 200 million sold. Madonna just said on Jimmy Fallon she's sold 400 million. I wish there was a definitive number and place to know. Are we talking worldwide? Or just US? Singles or albums? Soundscan or pre-Soundscan? It's infuriating. I have seen Shania Twain, Celine Dion, Madonna, MC and Barbra Streisand all state they were the biggest selling female artist of all time.

I thought she had a great year, or at least better than last year. BER was a global hit, even though it didn't chart in the US. It brought lots of new attention to Fantasy.

I concur. It really is pop perfection and set a standard for featured artists done right! It's one of those songs that gets better over time.

Mariah “lost interest” in promoting E=MC2 because she had just miscarried, which as a newly wed would be heartbreaking for anyone. MOIA was a concept album (and a brilliant one).

I saw on Twitter a fan video that shows that she was just reading the teleprompter for the speech and also another fan video where she actually mentioned on stage that she didn't really want to talk about 9-11.

My issue is that she's sold 9x platinum of Mariah Carey. Probably more than Daydream which was certified Diamond at 8x platinum. Yet Daydream has been certified and the debut hasn't. Sony needs to just present it for the certification.

The Heartbreaker-Honey part was cool. I also liked the Butterfly t-shirt from Bryan and the dancers. The audience seemed to have fun.
