Wayward Child (95,860) by Andrew from the United Kingdom I stayed up until 6am but gave up. The audiobook arrived at 7am. I have finished Wayward Child. What a brilliantly performed audiobook, thus far. Mariah does really well. The singing moved me. The Art Of Letting Go being sung in relation to Patricia threw me. I felt blindsided. i am a bit ashamed to admit I cried very shortly into the audiobook. I felt humble. I felt like I was a voyeur and Mariah should not have had to reveal these personal things. I felt it unfair she has had to explain the source of her pain. I felt sad that the young girl I adored in my emotionally unsettled youth was explaining her own emotionally unsettled youth. I just wanted to hug her and thank her for giving me what her musical idols had given her. Maybe I haven't said thankyou enough. Mariah Carey saved my life when I was a kid. It was not the case that somebody else would have filled the role had she not been there. It was her and her alone. i feel humble. (Wednesday 30 September 2020; 00:03)

I do not understand why the artist is blamed for what her management, the people above her, decided to use for her music. Roger Friedman (95,858) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City) Roger is holding a grudge against MC because she fired his good friend Cindi as her publicist, and she is Tommy’s publicist now. Also when they saw each other at an event during the nightmare era they talked briefly but MC, did not give him her new contact information and it has held a grudge ever since. Honestly Roger needs to move on, and find a hobby and leave MC alone because she has definitely left him, and his friends alone for quite sometime now. (Tuesday 29 September 2020; 18:11)

Audiobook (95,854) by Edward from USA I pre-ordered the ebook and the audio-book, but the e-book became available first at midnight. I read for an hour and eventually went to sleep. The audio-book was already available when I woke up. I got ready for work and on my way out started listening from the beginning. Oh wow. Mariah sounds as if she were telling you a story rather than reading a book, with singing, laughs, and all the different emotions in her voice asshe goes through it. You have to listen to her tell you about her times with her father, hilarious. I'll keep on listening later today. (Tuesday 29 September 2020; 15:56)

The vault (95,850) by Terna from Nigeria This vault is a gift that keeps giving. With the recent revelations of the alternative album from '95, one has to wonder what else has she got in store, because that was totally unexpected. Wow who is this woman? Lol. The Lambs have already coined another term "Rockriah". Haha. Honestly, the only thing good about this year has been the Mariah Carey treats and rarities she's been giving us. I just had a random thought - what if this culminates with a separate The Rarities but for Christmas, songs recorded (both originals and traditional covers) that didn't make the final cut on the original "Merry Christmas" CD. But I think more is centered around the book. Which will probably sell more and rake in more money so that's why. Just my two cents. I remember in an interview Mariah once said that she loved the album "Live Through This" by Hole (Courtney Love's band). That album came out in 1994. I can totally see how making an alternative rock album would be cathartic for Mariah in 1995, and I really hope she unearths the version with her vocals and releases it. Have you chosen the font? Are you using Mariah's Friz Quadrata? Are you going to read through quickly once and then start your analysis? Are you dedicating a certain amount of time per section? Do you have a copy of the book for annotations and a spare to keep unopened to prevent spine crease and/or to keep out of sunlight to prevent page discolouration? Will you read with dust jacket on or off? Do you have tweezers or non-powdered gloves to page turn? If you have ever seen Red Dragon with Ralph Fienes and Anthony Hopkins, the main antagonist, Francis Dollarhyde, rips up and actually swallows the painting of the Red Dragon. I keep imagining you doing this with Mariah's book, lol. Don't drink too much red wine, now. (Monday 28 September 2020; 21:03)

Grunge-riah: a dream come true (95,841) by bliss! from Brazil Knowing that Mariah had a secret creative life during Daydream has made me even more proud to be a fan of hers. I love some of the grunge bands that were famous during the 90s, such as Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Hole, and I usually listen to them to do exactly what Mariah did: let my frustration and anger out. Then, when I'm calmer, I go back to my beloved hip hop and R&B. By the way, I always thought Debut-Riah could easily sing any song from Temple of the Dog's only album and I would be super happy to hear her singing raw lyrics such as "Violet" from Hole. I hope that seeing her fans reaction to the Chick project makes her realize that we will embrace – or at least be curious about – her music not matter what, and that we would love a jazz album as well hehe. Whilst it's totally crazy and yet fun that she took part in this, the music is shit. It sounds like 80's British punk or grunge (or some other word that makes music instantly sound unappealing).
