I wonder whether the Grammys now know that they are a massive fail.

Yes that was a cute moment indeed. Even though I want to stab my ears out after hearing AIWFCIY for the 1244666876799 time in an hour, it's a great song and deserves all its success. Double kudos to whomever put this together. If she had no idea they were going to put this together for her I know she was a huge emotional mess. I'd still be ugly crying. Lol.

You're seeing something that totally wasn't there. Ellen didn't try to force her directly or indirectly to do anything. The only thing that Mariah's face told me was that she wasn't going to drink the champagne. That's it. She didn't even look uncomfortable. Y'all have turned this situation into something so ugly all because y'all think you know Mariah and what she was feeling.

Does anyone know if there is a reason why this video is all of a sudden #3 on US iTunes for music videos?

I really hope she is talking about Ed Sherran and David Guetta. They both are interesting for having the ability to write and produce catchy pop songs. Hopefully, MC will be in the studio the first six months of the year and release a new album in October.

Licia, she didn't force her directly but indirectly. Obviously Mariah didn't want to share with the world that she was pregnant. So in front of live tv and a audience she brought out champagne knowingly that Mariah loves to have a splash. That's a friend to you guys. I don't care if it was in good sports, Mariah's face told a whole other story. But if she complained or showed any emotion, there goes this crazy diva again.

I assumed you were arguing that if she I'd announced at Number 1 before New Years Day that means she is the first Number 1 before 2020. Which clearly she would not be. Anyway, must be my confusion.

Andrew, we all know that and nobody argued against that, what we said is if Mariah stays on top for 3 weeks (2 is accomplished) then she will be the first artist to have a #1 in four decades.

Ellen and Mariah (91,937)
by We are Lambily from USA
| |
|
|
I'm so glad that more people agree with me, and I have been saying this for years. Ellen has never been a friend to Mariah, they have had moments but that's business. A true friend doesn't try to embarrass you on live tv even if what she is saying is true. I don't know what kind of friends you guys have. She has always gone off on stereotypes in regards to Mariah. I remember that one interview where she disrespected Mariah almost throughout the interview. She went on and on, on how Mariah is late (she is late sometimes and who cares, who knows what due to what reasons). Mariah was in a bad shape but honey our girl is back so the next time miss Ellen tries anything she will have a taste of Mariah's shade.

by B from USA

During her Live Q&A on YouTube before the premiere of her new All I Want For Christmas video Mariah said she's working on a collaboration with two "interesting" male artist(s) joking the more the merrier. Who do you think she was referring to? Who do you think she should work with? I would love for Mariah to work with Bruno and Drake.

Mariah needs hot uptempo song in 2020 (91,934)
by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia

Just my opinion. I think Mariah needs to release a hot uptempo song (featuring or not) in 2020. She obviously needs to avoid releasing mid tempo ballads as first singles that were proven had failed; You Mine, GTFO/With U, I Don't.

Finally at peace (91,933)
by Tyler from USA
| |
|
|
I think Mimi's recent acceptance of younger emerging artist(s) is a showcase of her being at peace with herself. She no longer feels the need to compete and realizes she has nothing to prove. Her insecurities got the best of her in the past which resulted in her being shady to younger artist(s). To her defense, it's also the media fault for constantly framing artist as "the new Mariah". I think her being at peace is also evident in the reduction of playback in her recent concerts as well as embracing those 90 vocal moments. I always compare her to Michael Jordan. We do not shame him because he can't dunk like he did in his 20's but we look back in awe for what he accomplished in his prime. I honestly think she withhold the St John and Tokyo performances for so long as she didn't want to be compared to the vocal performances of the 90's. I think subconsciously she wanted to forget they ever excited as they are impossible to live up to. I am falling in love with her all over and so excited for her next album. With realizing there's nothing to prove, I am confident she will he taking more chances musically. Caution is just the beginning. Side note I am thrilled I can finally like Ariana publicly now that the war is over.

I just saw it and I was like wow. Honestly, I don't even know half of the celebrities in the video. But I did recognize most, wasn't that Chance the rapper? Then Cyndi Lauper on the street and our very dear Patti. This kinda tops the carpool karaoke from a few years ago.

Mad love (91,931)
by Terna from Nigeria
| |
|
|
We're experiencing a major event in the history of Music right now and I really wish us Lambs weren't here going back and forth arguing, just bask in the moment and revel. Getting this no.1 is a really big deal especially in the same year where she lost one of her major Billboard records only to replace it with an equally, if not more outstanding one and more importantly, one that may not ever get tied with or broken ever. Lol. Mariah is getting a lot of love right now and I'm loving it. Did you guys watch the new AIWFCIY videos? So fetch.

Article: Billboard Hot 100's first-ever "Christmas" double up (91,930)
by Travis from USA

This is exciting and the feeling of nerves all at the same time. If Mariah can hold on just for one more week, she will have another record as the only artist, ever, to have a #1 within each decade of a 4 decade period. Lambs, we just need to band together just a little bit longer in support for our queen to make this possible and make it the best Christmas Mariah has ever had.

Re: Number 1 in the 2020's (91,925) (91,929)
by Edward from USA

Andrew, "AIWFCIY" first week at number one was from December 15 to December 21, second week is from December 22 to December 28. If it stays at the top, it would be #1 from December 29 to January 4, so she would have a number one in 2020 for four days. You seem to be confused.
The only problem that "AIWFCIY" would encounter is the fact that to be #1 for a third week, it only has from December 22 to December 25 to benefit from high volumes of streaming, sales and airplay because after that, it's a rap. There's hope though because she gets her most streams between December 24 and December 25 and that could compensate compensate for those three days after Christmas. Let's cross our fingers.

Number 1 in the 2020's (91,925)
by Andrew from the United Kingdom
| |
|
|
"Additionally last week, Carey became the fourth artist with Hot 100 No. 1s in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s, joining Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears and Usher. No act has ever logged time at No. 1 on the Hot 100 in four distinct decades, consecutively or otherwise; thus, if 'Christmas' is No. 1 on the chart next week (dated January 4, 2020), Carey would become the first artist to achieve the honor." Billboard
Is this not exactly what I was saying? The sales/streams have to actually occur in 2020 for it to count. That is, you may be named No. 1 on December 31 for having had the most sales/streams for the previous 7 days, but it is not a title that rolls over.

All I can say is wow, to end this decade the universe is blessing our girl in abundance. I can not be any happier for her because she deserves to receive her flowers while she is still here to smell them. Whoever is responsible for getting this moment together, I salute you.
