E=MC2 (89,868) by Bobby A from United States
Was E=MC2 really MC's last true pop album? I am asking the question because MOIA, MIAM, and Caution were all R&B albums. Touch My Body and Bye Bye received major airplay on Pop radio. It was her last #1 album on the Billboard 200. Hopefully, MC will work with Disclosure, Ed Sherran, and Ryan Tedder for her next album and she will start working on one in 2020.

Indeed. Despite the surgery Mariah still looks like Mariah, if not better. The amount of failed touch ups in La-la Land is countless. Madame X for instance.

I will add this, if Mimi did have work done, she wouldn't, or shouldn't have had it done in some strip mall, or having her staffers charge the expenses. A normal multimillionaire would go to a proper doctor, and have every expectation of privacy and pay it herself or have an appropriate lawyer or accountant pay the tab. The issue here is, she is suing someone who supposedly says she only charged what she was told to charge. If Mimi was dumb enough to get work done and make her staff charge it and sign under aliases, she herself has sloppily called her own credibility into question. That's if any of this story is true. If it is, she won't want the nanny etc. to validate Lianne's claims. Seems like one extended, poorly scripted stunt.

Obvious or not, the sloppy part is entrusting her money, finances, secrets to the help like that. The work is whatever, but using Stella Carey is nutty again, if true. Her conduct was sloppy with her team and they keep reminding her of it. The lawsuits, like MW are flops, that could have been prevented.

If Lianna thought releasing this would result in public humiliation, I think she failed. Celebrities get work done. Water is wet. Next. Thankfully, Mariah still pretty much looks like herself no matter what she's had done.

What's the big deal anyway. It's obvious Mariah's had surgery. If it makes her feel better and gives her confidence then let her be.

Ugh, real sloppy if true. Why not just have a lawyer pay your bills? They have to keep it confidential and may be less likely to blackmail.

Re: Article: Will Mariah Carey win Grammys in the general field? (89,857) (89,861) by Randy from USA
B you have lost your mind. If anything, she might get a nomination in Traditional R&B performance and that's it. She's not getting anything else. And if they were going to give a perseverance Grammy she woulda got it for Mimi.

In a fantasy world I would love that MC makes a Doris Day cover as "Fly me to the moon" or "Perhaps Perhaps".

As great as Daydream is and was, Jagged Little Pill was the better album and a deserving winner.

Re: Article: Will Mariah Carey win Grammys in the general field? (89,857) (89,858) by RibbonB from USA
The academy just recently gave Dionne Warwick a lifetime achievement award and it was in a separate ceremony, not televised. If Mimi gets album of the year nomination and the award, it will be because her peers voted for that to happen. It's not likely, but anything is possible.

Caution winning AOTY could also be viewed as a long overdue apology from Recording Academy for Mariah not winning AOTY in 1995 and 2005 (and for giving her the awards in 05 off camera) and not winning Record and Song of the Year for We Belong Together when she should have.

I honestly believe Caution will garner Mariah several nominations and at least one win because of its critically acclaim and because it was released after several years of turmoil in her personal and professional life/lives.

Great "memoirs" from Curaçao. Wow how fantastic it must be to hear Mariah singing while you're on this beautiful island. I love to watch travel documentaries and an episode about Curaçao really got me dreaming. Anyway I hope you get a chance to see Mariah again. I wish all the lambs a nice weekend.

It'll be interesting to see if she is nominated, given how under Stella's ill-advised management during the nightmare era she mocked and wrote off the Grammy's.

Oh Grammy's. How you've been so unkind to Mariah over the years. But her 2006 performance is what brought my attention to her and made me a lamb, so I guess I can't completely hate them.

If Caution is indeed nominated for and wins AOTY it would be viewed more as a Lifetime Achievement award.

Caution will be snubbed in the general fields but will be nominated for Best R&B Album and With You will be nominated for Best R&B Performance. I could also see the Academy nominating Giving Me Life featuring Slick Rick for Best Rap/Sung Performance.

I don't think she will win album of the year, but stranger things have happened. She definitely got cheated so many times before.

Enjoy. I wanted to go to Curaçao NSJ last year but was disappointed with the lineup. Can you imagine my shock when they announced Mariah? (And Maxwell.)

Curaçao North Sea Jazz (89,847) by radhames from Curacao
In 2005 I became a lamb, so 2006 I flew from Curaçao to Miami for the Adventures of Mimi where she sang Breakdown. Still one of my earliest memories stanning Mariah Carey. Back in 2015 I traveled from Curaçao to the Jamaica for the Jazz and Blues Festival. The second time I saw the Queen perform live; amazing show. December 2018 I flew again from Curaçao to Copenhagen for a meet and greet with the queen at the Christmas shows. After that I couldn't get enough and went to the Amsterdam show, but no front row so it felt kinda awkward. So now fast-forward to 2019, the queen is set to perform at the Curaçao North Sea Jazz in August. I still can't come to the grips with the fact that Mariah is coming to my hometown and I will witness her perform live for the 5th time. She has a lot of fans on the island, but as far as lambs I think I am the only one here on the island. I was reading some comments of the local people under the Mariah announcement on the official page and many were saying they hope she can sing. Haha, after watching her performance in December I was so proud of her and also so proud to be a lamb. Than the Caution tour started and now viewing the European leg shows, I cannot wait for these locals to witness her amazing voice live. Wow, that was it, that's that I wanted to share with you guys; a memoirs of a devoted lamb. LMFAO. But yeah, nothing but love guys. And I hope I can film something like this again and upload it for you all.

Has anybody heard Thirsty Clout ft. Cardi B on YouTube? It's from the same guy who did the Lil Kim A No No mash-up. Thirsty should have been a single.
