I'm sure most expected an uptempo like Migrate or It's Like That. I still love Camouflage, #Beautiful, Dedicated, Make It Look Good, YDKWTD, and the criminally underrated You're Mine (Eternal). #CautionUnlock / Mariah's social media presence (84,941) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines It's just so exciting that Mariah's current team know how to harness the power of social media to create hype for her ventures. Sure, compared to how other artists do it, Mariah is still quite behind in terms of gimmicks and creative ways to promote her stuff, but compared to how dire her feed looked during "Stella's reign of terra", what she has right now is just infinitely much better and focus on what's important rather than having unwanted fame-hungry photobombers share the spotlight. It's almost a complete image overhaul. Such a relief considering last year we were all worrying that Stella's cheap hooker looks were rubbing off too much on Mariah that she was turning into Stella's twin bit by bit (ew, like those were really bleak years). I think her last ballad was beautiful and even though it wasn't super hyped I'm sure the album might have a gem. From MIAM I really loved Meteorite. I was dissapointed with Supernatural because I thought there was going to be some more substance in the lyrics but the kids voices made it worthy. I really like the new album title. It's like a "dark Mariah", I already got that vibe with GTFO. Hopefully all will be good and won't be pushed back. (Tuesday 16 October 2018; 14:09)

The album title (84,931) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines Who else is more excited for this album that they were for MIAMTEC? Of course the album title isn't everything but it sure does make a difference, doesn't it? The last time Mariah really intrigued the public with an album title was TEOM because it was her first album to deviate from the girly, cutesy titles of her previous albums. E=MC2 was clever and nice, if a little too on the nose as you could have deduced what that meant from the previous album. MOAIA amd MIAMTEC were just off-putting and were frankly disappointing. This is her first album title since 2005 that has not been self-referential or obnoxious. The two songs released so far are great slow-burners, but if there aren't any hard-hitting upbeat bangers on the album I'mma be really disappointed. And if Mariah ends up wearing only caution tape on the official album cover (ala GaGa in the Telephone vid), we would never hear the end of it. (Tuesday 16 October 2018; 13:25)

In exactly one month we're going to have a new Mariah Carey album. I'm excited as to how it's going to sound like, but judging from the released songs so far, I'd say loving it already and can't wait. Ariana (84,924) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Ariana has recently started talking about Mariah a lot, in positive light. This is after years of distancing herself from Mariah and not naming her as one of her influences (which I'm sure she did because she got a lot of backlash for trying to copy Mariiah). But anyways she is now back frequently naming Mariah in interviews and using the "I don't know her" reference to someone (not Mariah), listening to GTFO and recently using that photo of Mariah's "Vote or Die" campaign on her instagram story. Mariah then acknowledged that story by liking a tweet about it. I wonder if they got together and cooked up a collaboration. Mariah did say she worked on a lot of collaborations although I don't know if she meant with other singers/rappers or if she was just referring to writers/producers. (Tuesday 16 October 2018; 05:19)

Re: Album cover (84,913) (84,922) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Haha 2 years back I would have probably put in a huge bet about Mariah being on the cover wearing nothing but a caution tape, but with her current era and current team, I see they are giving her a more sophisticated sexy look instead of the "I'll be showing up everywhere in a bodysuit or lingerie" trashy moments she had just a while back. The more toned down classy-sexy image is really working for Mariah and it takes me back to her "Butterfly" era where she started dressing sexy but never looked trashy.
