After listening to "We belong together" I thought this is a typical magic Mariah song. I had it on repeat over and over. And I knew this would be another number one. Other favorites by the first time: Mine again, Stay the night, Get your number, Circles and definitely Joy Ride. I read a lot of fans don't like TTF, I liked the Neptunes and Nelly at that time, so that collabo seemed cool to me. I still enjoy it. (Thursday 17 May 2018; 20:12)

The reviews of Charmbracelet said Mariah's voice was in tatters weighed heavily on my mind. Was Mariah's voice really shot? After listening to TEOM I was relieved that Mariah was singing in her full voice again instead of cooing and whispering. Disclaimer, I've always thought Mariah singing in her highly debated whisper register was a stylistic choice and not an attempt to mask her vocal decline. (Thursday 17 May 2018; 17:09)

Mariah late to the party? (82,433) by T from USA I know Mariah is at a different place in her life and music then all the others, but she is still trying to compete and I just can't help but feel that her timing is killing her. I mean every singer is releasing something for this summer and if Mariah is working with the same producers (DJ Khaled, etc) her stuff is going to sound so dated by the time she's "ready" to show it off. I'm not saying to rush anything but now if she does have a Khaled collab it will obviously seem like a JLo rip off. Dinero is fire. It always feels like everyone beats Mariah to the punch. Remember the days when Mariah was the trend setter and first to the party with all her new songs. She has no choice but to do something completely different at this point. If she comes with the the same old stuff (JD, BMC) or the producers everyone else is using (DJ Khaled) then she will be so far behind at this point. (Thursday 17 May 2018; 14:16)

MC lost weight because of JLo (82,430) by Nikki from usa I call BS. First problem - Mariah discounts numbers and has anniversaries. She pays no mind to age. Second problem - Mariah hasn't "known" J.Lo for a decade, I don't see that changing now. It looks like J.Lo's team is trying to get publicity for her. Creating a new sound (82,426) by Bobby A from United States I feel MC is well on her way to creating a new sound. First, she looks amazing. I can't believe the Mother's Day photo and what it is saying to those body shamers right now. She is looking so sexy with every new photo. I am sure this new sexiness has boosted her confidence and stirred up her old songwriting style. Remember when MC used big vocabulary words and her lyrics had depth. She lost her big vocabulary and lyrical depth after Butterfly. Second, in order to create a new sound, she has to work with new songwriters and producers. So Jermaine Dupri and Bryan Michael Cox are out and who is hot right now is in. A fast style of singing is out and just her voice and piano is in.
