Yes, add me to the list of surprised but delighted fans with the album title. I love it, and certainly prepares us all for the f-bombs and "aggressiveness" lol. My mind is racing away with me, but imagine if she did a concept album, first half "caution it's so explosive" which is all the up tempos and aggressive songs, and then part two being "caution to the wind" (line from The Roof) which is the more mellow, deep cuts.

It would be kind of cool if Bianca showed up for the album cover or at least bring Bianca's attitude. With a title like Caution you can't be all cutesy and too sexy. I'm hoping she brings some edginess to fit the title.

Love the album title. It's short and simple and doesn't overshadow Mariah and the music.

Yeah the title is surprising, but what surprises me more is that we are getting an album this year. I honestly didn't think we would. I'm big enough to admit I was wrong. Great job new team and Mariah.

Well, the time has almost come. I love the title, very unpredictable, enticing and intriguing. I guess we're going to face lot of curse words and unapologetic moments in the songs. I'm actually excited. Just hoping Rock and Roe are not featured in any the songs. She can later produce their very own "Children of The Corn" album for them.

This is a good title. So far she has used a theme of signs in shop windows, subdued vocals, sparse lyrics and sexy poses. I suppose there may be songs of build up which lead to explosive songs ending in dramatic climax? Or it could be one simmering, ticking time bomb.

I don't know how that name got through though. Is her last name Clampett? I do like what I've heard though.

Sorry, the IG story appeared on my feed earlier than the post, which was buried under a lot of posts. Caution it is. Finally an album title that isn't too verbose or childish.

Might be the name of Mariah's new album as per her most recent Instagram story. Out November 16. Or I might have just assumed everything from that post. Anyways, I'm excited. If it's true then Caution would be a great title. Quite unexpected.

New album confirmed (84,889)
by Tijl from Belgium

Mariah herself just confirmed the launch of MC15, titled "Caution" on November 16. No dreamy imagery like "Butterfly" or "Rainbow" nor the obnoxiousness of "MIAM" but just "Caution". This sounds promising.

Always get butterflies upon a Mariah album announcement. Quite a surprising album title, I would say. "Caution"? I wonder what the concept behind this choice is. I just realized it's coming in only a month from now? Ok, now it's time to start freaking out. Yay.

I haven't finished listening to the album, but I'm loving the song Own It. I can't get passed that one song. They used that Adina Howard sample so well. Ella definitely deserves her success. Her mixtapes are great.

To be honest all of them lose fans greeting when the peak is over. Think Madonna and the blocks of endless fans going to see her or even Lady Gaga who had fans trampling to take her photo, now she is lucky if there are five persons standing there waiting at the hotel door.

If Mariah would (84,881)
by T from USA
| |
|
|
If Mariah would surround herself with real music people, professionals and musicians she could come back like TEOM. It's what she did during the Charmbracelet area and we saw what happened in the years to follow. Since then she's been on her own like during Rainbow and Glitter. I feel real musicians like Babyface or Walter A could really be the key for Mariah. I wonder if her label was looking at Janet's Unbreakable era for the blueprint of this era. I mean "No Sleep" and "WY" could be akin to urban ac radio and if they think they can have that size of a hit maybe that's what they are aiming for. I do hope this is the last MC album in this version of herself. After this I hope she walks away from the chart chasing for good and just makes music with real musicians.

Ella Mai (84,880)
by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
| |
|
|
SZA's Ctrl was last year's best R&B effort. This year, I'm predicting (really, really hoping) Mariah's will be later on, but for now, we have Ella Mai. She's like a British answer to SZA, but with a less distinctive vocal and style, just as sassy and brutally honest, but smoother, slicker and even more obsessed with the 90s. Her material is some of DJ Mustard's best work. Very chill overall vibe. This woman deserves the attention she's getting. With her burgeoning appeal, she could really go far. Boo'd Up really wasn't a fluke. Trip is awesome and so is the rest of the album and all of her 3 EPs that came before this debut. Very, very well done and well worth checking out.
