At the KCA Mariah's face was absolutely stunning and flawless. The light make up enhanced her natural beauty and those beautiful bambi eyes. Mariah's eyes in the birthday pic are horrendous. Ok maybe I'm exaggerating but ugh. A more natural looking Mariah is beauty at it's best. Just my humble opinion. And where is my baby? Did Mimi kick him to the curb? Hehe. The cover is photoshopped up to within an inch of its life though. If you google "Rainbow Lachappelle outtakes" you can see the original shots. But the photoshop on the Rainbow cover is striking. There is evidence that even when Mariah is thin, she still photoshops to the near impossible. As for her look in Disneyland I have to be supportive. She is doing well to the point that the fat shameable imagery seems half a world away. Ever negative, I would pose for the debate: the makeup. Mariah is naturally beautiful. Her make up is so over the top these days. Her eyes are black holes. She is so much more appealing without it. Perhaps she is covering up ageing, I am nowhere near qualified to bear witness. But raw and stripped Mariah with the tits away, eating healthy, is something I can get on board with. Minus crap wigs. Disneyland pictures (81,567) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City) I love how M decided to spend her birthday with people who are near and dear to her, not people who are thirsty for the spotlight themselves. I also like how M is doing everything to make her inner circle smaller. For me this simple look was a 10 effortlessly from her beautiful smile down to the WuTang T-shirt everything was on point. For me it changes from time to time and what about the songs I have to leave out. To much pressure. I like your countdown, even if I don't agree with it. I'd actually been thinking all day that "Honey" was too far down and had planned to move it up. Part of why Mariah is amazing is she has such a huge catalogue with such varied music that people can have very different favorites. I just wanted to share my own to draw attention to her legacy and, in particular, what a great songwriter she is. Also, thanks for the comment about the personal photo. Re: "Rainbow" era (81,543) (81,552) by Tijl from Belgium The album cover of 'Rainbow' is by David LaChapelle who is notorious for extreme use of airbrushing and manipulated imagery. At the time his work was very much en vogue. Many pop artists and celebrities have worked with him over the years. His photography is considered art by some and gets scrutiny from others. Mariah most likely chose him to further infuriate the suits at Sony. LaChapelle is also the one responsible for the mess that was the "Loverboy" video. His work is worth to have a look into... although many consider it too kitsch and very pastiche-like. I don't mind the cover, it is very camp but than again the album is called "Rainbow". The actual Rainbow cover is bizarre and with the amount Mariah airbrushes you would think that she has shares in Adobe. Although is saying that, I love the Glitter OST cover art even though Mariah's stomach looks like it's being sucked down through an hourglass. Her desperation to be found physical sexy won't allow it, but Mariah should stick to the traditional face close-up for the new album, avoiding the disastrous online mutterings that accompanied the MIAM cover art. The Daydream and Charmbracelet covers are simple but beautiful and impossible to mock. (Tuesday 27 March 2018; 17:03)
