Re: Aggressive music (83,367) (83,368) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I don't like the description aggressive for music. If it really means it's fresh and creative that would be nice. I want a soulful album without overproducing. Just her voice with "real" instruments and heartfelt lyrics.

Re: Aggressive music (83,355) (83,367) by Nicole from US
I hope it's not agressive like gangsta hip hop. Or maybe yet full of expletives. Hopefully aggressive in a way that is creative and fresh.

The lawsuit lives (83,366) by RibbonB from USA
Who thought this was over? Not I. The article states she worked with Mimi over five years, which is way off. It was less than three years. Maybe Mimi wrote aggressive music, just so she can sign it over to Stelly Stel and tell her off in the same motion. All of this is like trump firing Omarosa, then acting surprised that's low life reality star would stab him in the back. But he hired her. The question remains why Mimi would hire a lowlife reality show producer to manage her career?

Vacation (83,365) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
She stated that she was going to go finish her album and go on vacation before she returns to Vegas. As far as the cancellation I believe that this is more about finishing the album and getting promotion in order because as of late she has been surrounded by Roc Nation and label people so I believe that they are planning something and we are not far away from hearing the first offering from the new album.

An Aretha tribute (83,364) by Lee from UK
So we know there is going to be some kind of musical tribute to Aretha after she passes away. I don't think anyone, even Mariah, has the voice to do her songs justice but it's going to happen. If Mariah did take part, I wonder which song she would choose to sing.

Re: Cancelling Oz (83,361) (83,363) by Todd from Melbourne, Australia
It definitely wasn't due to ticket sales. A mate of mine decided to come along, and bought tickets a couple weeks ago. The best she could get was at the very back of the third level of the arena. So she should be aware that she's disappointed stadiumfuls of people here.

Mariah poses on a yacht (83,362) by Nicole from US
I love Mimi and all that but after everyone is very critical of every move she makes and all press regarding her Oz cancellation she shouldn't be putting posts about her taking a vacation and having a great moment with Tanaka while fans from Down Under are left disappointed. I just feel bad for the die hard lambs. Much love to you guys.

Cancelling Oz (83,361) by Nikki from usa
I'm surprised it took this long, but I originally thought she "rescheduled" this tour for so late in the year because she planned on cancelling it a few months later. The whole thing was created by Stella, so I was assuming she was waiting for it to be legally clear before opting out. Although, we might hear more from Stella now that this has been cancelled. I know many people might assume she just wasn't selling well, but the fact it wasn't even promoted suggests she had no intention of doing it. In any case, most of Mariah's concerts don't sell out 2 months in advance, so whatever "refunds" need to be given back shouldn't be in large quantities. I think it's being cancelled too soon to cite bad ticket sales as the culprit. I'd prefer a new album, but I'm not expecting Mariah to chart. She'll just have more material for her next tour. Then, maybe she'll do it with some energy because the music is new.

Re: Aggressive music (83,355) (83,360) by RibbonB from USA
Here is the link where he refers to her aggressive new music. I don't know what he means and that word doesn't make me curious, it's more ominous. I hope it's not the hint of a train wreck that we may never hear.

Re: Aggressive music (83,355) (83,359) by Bobby A from United States
Diane Warren sounds promising for MC15. Recording songs that are aggressive is the mindset she is going to need for a competitive fall music lineup starting in October. Whatever happened to the song they finished August of 2015 that Diane Warren tweeted about? And that reminds me, didn't Mariah tweet a picture of she, JD and Cristyle in the studio back in 2016 working on a new song? Will that song and the Busta Rhymes song come 2017 be considered for the new album? MC15 is coming this year.

Album title (83,358) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
This new album is a very important album for M as she is at a critical point of her career. This era will answer so many questions that fans and critics have. But I believe that we are in for some great things that many people are not expecting. As for an actual album title I feel it has to be something that grabs the attention of fans, casual listeners and critics alike. If it is a one word title it has be something strong, if she decides to use more than one word it has to pop out but not be something weird or unrelatable. Personally right now I have no suggestions as far title are concerned.

Article: Mariah Carey switches roles with makeup artist (83,357) by 90sMariah from SG
"She's too busy playing makeup artist." Hello? She's had 500 hours of beauty school. She's talked about it so many times over the years that even I can't stop.

Aggressive music (83,355) by RibbonB from USA
JD describes Mimi's new music as aggressive, which doesn't really say much. She is also working with Diane Warren. We will see what 2019 brings.

Re: New album title (83,350) (83,354) by Bobby A from United States
Cool album titles but if the production credits looked like below then MC would have a stone cold winner for sure without a weird album title like in 2014. Seventeen tracks should hold us over for another 4 years before MC 16.
1. Jermaine Dupri/Bryan-Michael Cox
2. Detail/A1 Bentley
3. Jermaine Dupri/Bobby Ross Avila
4. Frank Dukes/Poo Bear
5. Fred Ball/Poo Bear
6. Harvey Mason Jr./Damon Thomas
7. DJ Mustard
8. Scott Storch/Poo Bear
9. Frank Dukes/Prince Charles
10. 1Mind
11. Fred Ball/Poo Bear
12. No ID/Metro Boomin
13. Max Martin/Ed Sherran/Greg Kurstin
14. Babyface/Antonio Dixon/Daryl Simmons
15. Nic Nac/A1 Bentley
16. Kirk Franklin
17. James Poyser

Lol If Nick says anything you know it's a way for him to shade Mariah according to some folks. I don't see how anyone could turn his joke into anything other than him joking and hyping up his kid's song.

New album title (83,350) by Andrew from UK
If not "The Return of the Butterfly" or "Polarity" then "The Reinvention of Mimi" - a slight alteration on one of the most recognisable titles in music history would certainly and immediately garner a lot of attention, and if she is indeed doing something "new" then it would seem to make sense. So...
1. "The Return of the Butterfly"
2. "Polarity"
3. "The Reinvention of Mimi"
There's my two pennies worth. And I'll want royalties. I'm still waiting on my "Butterfly Returns" check. Any day now.

I wonder if Nick is shading AIWFCIY by saying that Rocky's Christmas song "is the best Christmas song he has ever heard in his life".

Re: October dates (83,346) (83,347) by Licia from USA
So for the sake if being positive we should just ignore the fact that she's been saying she's going to release an album for the last few years? I'm such a horrible lamb for doubting her.

Re: October dates (83,345) (83,346) by Bobby A from United States
I am counting on this album to put her back at number one. She really been working hard recording new songs for the album. She recorded secretly with Poo Bear without any posted studio pictures, she brought in Johnta Austin again to recreate the WBT magic, finally worked with Bobby Ross Avila, and other new collaborators we don't know about yet. I am hoping for a Kirk Franklin and Max Martin collaboration. I have to believe MC15 is coming this year. I want her to end 2018 on a high note. Everybody should stay positive if you are a true Lamb.

You still believe an album is coming this year? Although I'd be happy and surprised if it did come out this year I honestly doubt that it will.

October dates (83,344) by Bobby A from United States
It looks like MC realized she overextended herself again by having to cancel the Australian and New Zealand dates. The pressure is on to get her album finished to promote it in October. Jay Z and team probably said to her we need to release the album in October or November.
