Re: I Wish You Well (71,928) (71,955) by THE TRUTH from USA
Shawn I mean Lannister, I have always felt sorry for you. It must be hard being you but I guess the booze and Twinkies must be some consolation. Keep trolling.

Sorry Mariah (71,954) by Todd from Sydney, Australia
OK. So I'm alone (the other half is in Paris, stupid Melbourne), and tonight I put my iTunes on a Mariah shuffle. I heard songs I haven't even thought about for years. "The Wind", "Right to Dream", "Open Arms", "Butterfly", "Music Box". And I was reminded why I completely fell in love with this woman's voice, songwriting and charisma that no other artist has come close to (in my humble opinion). I'm exceptionally critical of the Mariah of 2017 (friends of mine take great pleasure in pointing out NYE and Mariah's World antics), but at the end of the day this is someone who, without going into soppy detail, saved my life 20 years ago - and without her I wouldn't be here typing this Sauvignon Blanc induced post. And for that, I literally owe her my life. Yeah, the Mariah's World era bugs the f**k out of me. Stella is a c**t. But ultimately, I will forever support Mariah Carey.

Mariah's new video: she has lost her touch (71,953) by Sheila from United States
Of course she's laying down on "something", trying to look sexy while going through her mid-life crisis. Thegrapejuice.net have you seen the comments? They wonder why Faded was paid dust but they release this garbage.

Article: Mariah Carey previews video for new single I Don't (71,952) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Okay, so from the preview it seems like another montage of fake-sexy shots possibly devoid of any narrative. I actually like (yes, just like) the song and this video just cheapens it. At least in the video for #Beautiful her outfits came off as flirty. That black PVC outfit screams bondage-gone-wrong. That white lace leotard isn't any much better either. And her "sexy" antics are just so try-hard at this point. The tired lemme show ya some leg, lemme stroke my hair, lemme gyrate slowly tricks seem so sexy 101 and only register as uncomfortable at best. That's not how you tease a video. And if those are the best shots then we are in trouble. Mariah serves awkward once again. The only thing I liked was how they stylized the song title in the end, with the words "I do" differing in color from the letters "n" and "t".

Beyoncé having twins (71,951) by darrian liu from taiwan
Congratulations for Bey. Ugh, imagine how cute Roc and Roe would be with Bey's twins? Although their play date would probably be Blue Blue l still think it's so cute.

Re: I Don't longer tease (71,945) (71,950) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Haha by the way are all 3 shots of MC in the different ensembles all shot in the Rolls Royce? And YG is rapping from Mariah's Calabasas home?

Re: I Don't longer tease (71,946) (71,949) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
From the clip alone, I'm not feeling the rap. But let's see how the full version sounds. I mean I didn't really love the first snippet of the song but the longer snippet made me like it. So maybe the full version will help me like the rap too. She could have just gone solo though and added the rap for a re-sung remix.

Re: Video teaser (71,938) (71,948) by Martyn from England, UK
Wow, a narrative-less video featuring Mariah touching herself up on a bed in slow motion, interspersed with shots of a rent-a-rapper and expensive items like chandeliers and big cars. Groundbreaking.

Re: I Don't longer tease (71,945) (71,947) by Gigi from USA
I agree. I was actually excited about new music until I saw the video teaser and listened to YG. My gosh - what is happening to her? Is it bad that I want James Packer to release his side of the story now? Damn, I feel bad for him. I can't imagine that someone of his stature would willingly agree to be in a fake relationship with a superstar just so she can bash him later in order to promote her fake reality TV show and new music. I just can't. James, please come through. This nonsense has to end.

I'm trying to hold all my opinions until I see or hear the whole thing. That clip does nothing to make me happy and I may judge it too harshly. Lol.

I Don't longer tease (71,945) by RibbonB from USA
Wow, YG's rap sounds wack and the video looks weird to say the least. This is going to be interesting, but based on the longer tease I don't think I will get into this one. Some lambs are already gassing her up on Twitter though.

Re: Ribbon (71,943) by Nikki from usa
Mariah did fire Cindi. In fact, many of us on the board had been complaining about the fact Cindi was never releasing statements for Mariah or handling her in any way. Mariah had switched publicists 3 months before Cindi contacted Page 6. Mariah's full letter was published and it was very sweet. She applauded Berger's career and it was filled with thanks for her work up until that point, but stated she wanted to go a different direction. She wanted to honor her for her accomplishments as "woman of the year" and come up with a joint statement for the press. The sheer fact a publicist contacted a major gossip column to say they dumped an artist looks like saving face.
You also seem to have a hard time distinguishing between what Mariah's official camp says and taking gossip columns "sources" as Mariah's word. I wouldn't take any James vs. Mariah's thing too seriously. It would appear they have contracts about being able to talk about it which would explain the current situation. She might have to aim for ridiculous if truly talking about it isn't on the table. There was something fishy about NYE. TMZ had a clip proving the album cut of Emotions was supposed to be played, but that's not the version DCP did live. Even boards for soundtechs were abuzz after that. They said it was bizarre that nobody jumped on stage to check her equipment, especially for a performance that long. DCP has had trouble keeping top talent for their show after Dick died, after all, why did they call Mariah to headline? However, even if MC has a right to be ticked, nailing them to the wall wouldn't be in her best interest. They're powerful and are in touch with a lot of other musically inclined shows. Stella should've gone with a joint statement.

Video teaser (71,942) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
So far it looks like the same expired trying to be sexy act when it is so unnecessary because MC is very sexy in her own right when she is not trying hard. Hopefully MC gets a clue and learns that she is losing with all the extra ness and losing big time.

Re: Tommy Mottola (71,941) by Nikki from usa
I don't think the guy who tried to sabotage her entire career should be given any free pass. I also don't see how gloating in his own book how he isolated her and instructed their house staff not to look her in the eye or speak to her - being treated like a ghost in her own home - before "apologizing" for being controlling "because I knew she had so much talent" really suffices as an apology. He doesn't even act like his actions in the Glitter debacle ever happened. Mariah never went into full details, she stuck with buzz words. What sticks out to me is what producers and Da Brat stated before she and Mottola split. A couple of producers mentioned it was hard to work because he would call every other hour to see how things were going and constantly reminding them they had to be done by 7pm because a car would be there to take her home for dinner. Da Brat didn't understand why Mariah kept whispering and Mariah told her it was because she didn't want the audio from the cameras around the house to pick up their talk. You can actually see some of those cameras in the remix video for Always Be My Baby.

I don't know her (71,940) by Manny from U.S.
I don't know who this Mariah is anymore. I was trying to be the fan I was before during this Mariah's World. I thought that it couldn't get worse. But I saw the "I don't" preview and she flips off, I guess Packer wearing the ring. What the hell? Really, Mariah. I'm sorry but James should be the one saying FU to you. You were flirting with your boy toy, lap dance and all when you were supposed to be engaged. Where is her logic and common sense? The whole video has no taste. I am slowly losing my loyalty. I literally rolled my eyes when I saw her flip off. I guess this "empowerment" song is about being a man hater. I don't like this new era. After I saw Mishka say something about her ass, I was done with this low life of a manager. Empowering women is repecting yourself and other women. How are you teaching your girl to be so vulgar? I'm not feeling this Mariah anymore and it sucks. I have been a fan since her debut. When I was in sixth grade.

Re: Tommy Mottola (71,930) (71,939) by Malcolm from Asia
I don't really know what happened back in the day but I watched some videos, articles, etc. about the situation. After that, one thing has crossed my mind, what if Mariah's claim was just too far-fetched and overrated? But it's no doubt that Tommy is the mastermind behind Mariah's phenomenal success in the 90's, that's that.

Re: Whose the liar: Mariah or James? (71,919) (71,937) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Haha what feels different this time is she's over doing it. Crafting a whole reality show to set up an alternative explanation of what happened to her relationship when the whole world already knew the truth, pushing this "Tanaka is my soul mate" crap too hard (maybe because Packer disliked him) and saying "oh I know him for so long, there's a connection that you can't have with everybody" and how he's her bestie, when she herself stated in the beginning of the show that she hasn't seen him since TAOM. Also back then M never hung out with her dancers, which was also confirmed when Anthony said that the first time he performed with MC, he only saw her for the first time when they had to hit the stage. Now she has the whole "ring drop" scene and then wearing the ring on her middle finger for the music video, almost falling off her hand. All of these are just extra.

The last art cover they posted with just Mariah's face is absolutely stunning. I wish she would loose the hooker ho look. It's not cute.

I wonder if she told Mariah when she went to see her show and especially when she had Blue Ivy playing with Roc and Roe.

Credibility (71,933) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
It's really sad how Mariah basically ruined her own credibility in the last 2 years. Before that I don't think anyone would question her account of what Tommy did. Now, even if she was saying the truth, people will always think maybe it's not the complete truth because of all the mess she and her team created around her image. From fake story lines to fake boy toys, only M and her team are to be blamed for people suddenly questioning her. It also doesn't help that she has been completely swallowed by her diva persona, something she previously said that she is in on, now it seems like it's not just an act but it has slowly taken over her. I wish this reality show in particular never took place, it's possibly something (among other things) that has created a huge dent in her credibility. Never in my life did I think I would have to wonder why Mariah Carey, a singer with genuine talent and well deserved fame, would feel the need to go on a publicity stunt over drive. It's like she can't stop the drama, one drama after another is lined up.

Not mutually exclusive (71,932) by RibbonB from USA
Mariah's perception of her relationship with her first husband and her clear distortion of events for a reality show are not mutually exclusive. One thing does not negate the other. It is unclear why she would trust another snake manager and so blatantly put her credibility in doubt, but many others have witnessed and can attest to his controlling and obsessive behavior with respect to MC. Not to mention he would have been the bankroll and originator of any fabrications to her career or background back then. People want to give him the credit for her success, but don't like to note the industry dirt, manipulation etc. that record executives are known for, particularly the devil TM. He admits himself that he was wrong for mixing business and relationship. Now look at the results in her life.

Isn't it ironic? (71,931) by Danny from Uk
Ironically the one thing Mariah has claimed to have found and experienced, her emancipation, she has never truly mastered. Freedom. She is now a slave to herself and yet seemingly served by minions who pose themselves as confidantes and friends. Whom seem to not only add themselves to the payroll but offer nothing in the way of creative processes. She hasn't found her emancipation not in the way she wants us to believe, she still cares what people think about her, she still wants to be the Mariah Carey of the hey day but wants to eat them space cakes, flash those melons and have an army of yes men. She needs to wake up, like now or the only legacy she will leave behind is one like Judy Garland.
