Let me touch all topics, if I may (70,981) by Haiji Toro from USA
OK so I've been busy working, but never too busy to read this messageboard. Maybe it's the after hour drinks talking, but who cares, I've grown to love you all for your opinions and concerns (including you Eric). Imagine if we all knew each other personally and hungout? It would never be a dull moment lol. Let's get MW out the way. After the 3rd episode, I've only been able to get a quick recap from Mimi L, thank you for that, it saved me the time. Like I said before, it's whatever, and Molly turned out to be the star, let's wait for the spinoff. The whole thing seems unorganized with no substance. Even a KardashIan episode makes you interested in the next episode (not that I care for a reality-based scripted show like that or any other). I thought I was gonna get a behind the scenes look at her tour with extra personal footage, except I got the total opposite with an industry-controlled fairy tale. It's money, I get it. Like a previous post mentioned (sorry for not remembering the specific post or person), this is how she's paying her bills now. This is why I believe she hasn't released any music lately. Think of anything you're good at. Now think if at a certain low point in your life you weren't able to produce your best or maybe you knew people wouldn't respond to it well, would you even bother, or would you just try different things? We all know she's lost in a world that she created and no one even bothered to help her otherwise or tried to guide her in a better way. I don't care who you are nor how old you are, we all need help and guidance somehow. Again, like others have posted, we all go into work with a motive. To make money and progress no matter what. The difference is that we don't have a personal and close relationship with our bosses or head of company. Stella does. Therefore, her obligation and title as a manager and friend, is to make good decisions and improve betterment in MC. If you wanna be a savvy businesswoman and make money even at the expense of your client, then so be it, but don't be fake and promote friendship and woman empowerment. "Seein' right through you like you're bathin' in Windex." Not to mention, shame on MC for even allowing that or not even learning from past experiences. You may be 12 and all, but don't act brand new to the game. You can be known for so much good, but yet you're so easily manipulated. Work on yourself girl. How is it that 85% of your "lambs" are mirroring opinions and feelings along with the likes of Wendy William and Tommy Motola? Don't get me wrong, he was on point and keeping it 100%. But then again, hustle mode will always kick in and when you find an opportunity to get your name out there to sell a current book, I guess savvy is your foretay. As much as we all agree with you, what makes you think someone as prideful and resentful as MC is, especially when it comes to you, especially when her closest friend is the main one brainwashing and also managing her, will be fired or even put aside? We as fans, lambs and GP, see a whole different world that MC sees or even is exposed to. For all we know, she doesn't even know what's going on. I can picture it now, "Mariah, the world is talking about you. You are on fire. They love you. I love you. F*** the haters. They can lose our numbers. This is woman empowerment. I love you. We don't need anyone else. I love you." Lol. I do applaud how she handled NYE, it could have been worse, but not enough for me. Maybe if it was a different performer, like Britney or someone else. How is it that you can sing an ad-libbed conversation to the audience for almost 2-3 years but can't even just stop the music and bs your way through "Emotions"? Really? If confidence is what you lack then we get it, just take some time off. Do some more voice-over cartoon shows or movies, or just continue working on movies or behind the scenes, or whatever. Let the world miss you. I'm sure if it's meant to be, you'll get another comeback at the right moment. It won't happen until you humble yourself though. And may I say, must you need a man in your life to be happy? Aren't your children enough? Keep your personal sh** to yourself. Satan is known and a household name, don't mean it's a good thing. If conspiracies are true, then I pray you truly didn't sell your soul to the the devil, all for some dirty money that I'm sure you didn't need. You guys can trace my past comments and surely know I'm not one to spew negativity, but it's time for intervention. Obviously, we all have a type or extent of caring for her, so we're all in the right to express ourselves, even if we don't agree. Isn't that the point of this board? I'll leave this Kanye-inspired rant at this. I'm sure there's a lot more I can say but you guys express it so much better, plus the booze are wearing off and the melatonin is kicking in. Got a shift in the morning. I pray you all had a great holiday, a wonderful 8 days of 2017 so far, and many more blessings to come. Face your fears, overcome hardship, don't take your life for granted, money is only temporary fulfillment, beauty lives inside us, at the end of our lives all we leave it all behind, so make it worthy and a resource for those left behind. God bless and have a great year.

Re: Tomas Mottola (70,968) (70,980) by Terna from Nigeria
René Angelil (Celine Dion's late husband) and Tommy Mottolla are two very different people young man. [...] was René who made Celine Dion the superstar she is today. That had absolutely nothing to do with Tommy. I suggest you get your facts straight before you come on here in your bid to hate but instead make yourself look real foolish. Smh.

Humble Mariah (70,979) by JAXGH from United States
Yeah I really kind of miss when Mariah was cool enough to say "yeah you have some people on here with incredible breast, and I'm not one of them" while laughing. (Howard Stern interview.) Just a random thought.

Re: Alpha-Tella? (70,964) (70,978) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I'm so jealous of Licia that she'll never have to deal with the second hand embarrassment of watching MW. Like Licia girl, you will be going on with your life thinking everything is fine and dandy, while I'm here getting permanent wrinkles between my eyebrows in my mid 20s from cringing so hard at the mess that is MW.

You tell 'em Edward. Exactly my thoughts, and the more she talks the deeper she's digging a grave for herself.

Re: Tomas Mottola (70,968) (70,976) by RibbonB from USA
But Celine's husband Rene managed her and guided her success. He should get that credit. Tommy did his thing as a record executive, but his roster building or deeply contributing to greats is short. Clive: Aretha, Dionne, Whitney, Alicia. Berry: Built Motown from the ground up and launched countless stars and changed the landscape of music. I do believe Tommy is using this as an opportunity to promote his play, but if Mariah is his biggest contribution to music, as much as I love Mariah, he really hasn't done that much. But as I said before, if people accept his "direction" then good, because Stella must be drop-kicked back to the abyss from whence she came.

Re: Tommy Mottola (70,963) (70,975) by Bill from the UK
Just so we're clear Terna, Mariah is responsible for every great performance, yet every bad performance is down to ear pieces not working, monitors not playing, the weather, colds, sickness, bronchitis, nodules, tiredness, time zone shifts, break ups, breakdowns, divorces, J.Lo scrolling through Instagram and putting her off, malfunctioning humidifiers, Stella, back up singers being on stage and taking her cues, back up singers not being on stage and missing her cues, sabotage, Tommy, mic feed leaks, chaise lounges lifted incorrectly, missed sound checks, creative directors, pre-nup negotiations, post-nup negotiations, and Dick Clark Productions. Did I miss anything?

Re: Mariah Carey's legacy in critical condition (70,910) (70,974) by Jono from USA
What I am saying is, she is at risk from suffering similar career trajectories that her friends Michael and Whitney did - brilliant artists in their prime who, in some form or another, lived the rest of their lives in the shadows of their glory days. They say the most brilliant artists are also the most damaged. We may never know fully what happened to Mariah's voice, but we also do know that she's spent the better part of a decade hiding it with smokes and mirrors, and it's beginning to catch up to her. Mariah doesn't strike me as someone who does vocal lessons, hell she rarely does rehearsals and sound checks. You can't, at 46, show up and expect to wing it like you did when you were 20. Your voice has gone through decades of use and natural wear and tear, so you have to put that much more care in to preserving it. What Mariah is doing is just letting everything free fall and resting on her laurels. Yes her accomplishments are staggering. Yes her body of work is unrivaled. Yes I am and will always be a fan. But you can not blindly follow someone who is unraveling without being concerned. As fans, being a "yes" person is only enabling her to continue her bad habits. We all know what MC can do, this is why we became fans in the first place. What we need her to do is get it together like we know she can. Point blank. Period.

By that token she is also the common denominator in all her failures too.

Lionel and Mariah All The Hits (70,972) by B from USA
I'm looking forward to seeing Mariah in concert. One underwhelming performance isn't going to ruin Mariah's career or legacy. Mariah slayed at in NY at Beacon theatre and Vegas. She's going to slay on this tour. After the Rockefeller debacle she slayed the opening night of her Las Vegas residency and the second night (which I was lucky enough to attend). I saw Mariah in Vegas in 2015 and I'll be seeing her in Columbus, Ohio this spring two years later for the second time. I'll always support her and I think she handled the NYE debacle with class and grace. She did the best she could under those circumstances.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey's manager sounds off (70,966) (70,971) by Licia from USA
Right. Half the country already had seen it. It wouldn't have mattered if they reshoot it. The damage was done. I'm laughing so hard at her response to Tommy because she sounds like a prepubescent teenager having a tantrum because she doesn't like what the older, wiser, and more experienced adult had to say. Lol. I'm not a Tommy fan, but his advice was solid. Stella may need to shut her enhanced lips because he has a long history with Mariah. If he really wanted to he could potentially do some damage to Mariah and her brand. Stella needs to think about that while she's pissing off people with maybe more money and greater connections.

Let's stop (70,970) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Can we please stop with Mariah should allow other writers to come in and write songs for her because we all know she will never give up her power as a songwriter. She did not do it when she was offered contracts early on, another reason she signed with Sony besides the slightly larger advance. Honestly Mariah's great songwriting and artist versatility later on set her apart from some of her peers. Even though things are shaky right now I believe Mariah has something left in the machine to get going again. She just needs to focus, recharge and find inspiration.

Re: Alpha-Tella? (70,964) (70,969) by Licia from USA
I was actually going to try to watch at least one episode of the show, but once those pictures of her and Banaka Tanaka and their fake romance got leaked I changed my mind. I knew then that the show wasn't going to go in the direction I thought it would. Alpha-Tella is a winner. Lol.

Tomas Mottola (70,968) by Edward from USA
Tommy Mottola took Celine Dion and made her a huge star too, so his accomplishments didn't stop with Mariah, as a matter of fact, Celine was bigger than Mariah when Butterfly was released. Let's not pretend the man was a one-star wonder because he wasn't. He was very successful. Do I like Tommy personally? I don't. After he tried to sabotage Mariah, I lost respect for him as a person. Does that take way his expertise and experience? No it doesn't. And no, Mariah wasn't being chased with offers of record deals left and right, people thought she sounded too much like Whitney. Tommy turned back looking for her because, and unlike the rest, he is visionary and saw her star power and potential, just like Dr. Dre gave Eminem a chance when his demo tapes were being tossed in the garbage. Both Eminem and Mariah are excellent lyricists, she, an excellent vocalist, he, an excellent rapper. So, let's not fool ourselves regardless of whatever happened between them that he is not partially responsible for her success. His input is as valid now as it was then. His input is not an emotional one, like some of you "super lambs" are taking it. I rarely hear the "super lambs" addressing Stella's experience and expertise, they usually talk about anything but that. They rather have Stella drown Mariah's career than Tommy saying a positive and wise advice that could put her back on top again should she heed it. Emotional "super lambs" much. Many of you are just a bunch of Mollies (Alpha-Tella's assistance). I'm pretty sure some of you were cast for the "Molly" part, but you were told they were looking for dumb, but you were giving dummer. Who cares where the advice is coming from as long as it works for the best for Mariah?

Whenever you think delusions are getting the best of you, as of lately, always read Andrews chapter 70 verse 940 (70,940) for his words contain the cure for those voices in your head screaming unicorns, rainbows and pink elephants are real.

Article: Mariah Carey's manager sounds off (70,966) by Matthew from USA
Does this lady not get it? It was New Year's live. No one has time to re-shoot and re-edit. And what's the point of re-shooting to make it seem perfect when half the country on the East Coast already saw and knows that it wasn't? Get it together Stella. And stop talking about this.

Re: I'm so happy with what Stella said (70,948) (70,965) by Lila from United States
Calling someone a relic is not putting him or her in his or her place, when the person calling the name is a complete idiot who has no experience at all at the job they've been hired to do, hasn't been able to do anything for their client but a bunch of cheap endorsements, and is just making a mess of things as the days go on. Better to be a relic than an idiot. I'm not a fan of Tommy but Stella, you don't have a leg to stand on and let's not even start with gender. Not only do you support Trump, when you speak, you remind me of just how much you could be his long lost daughter. He speaks idiot with finesse and so do you. If you were a man, no one would applaud you. You'd be the same idiot, with a penis attached. Lastly, you're never right, only rude and disgusting. When a person is in the right, he or she doesn't have to resort to being rude or nasty. The only thing you did was show us all how pressed you were over Tommy's comments about you, and the rest of your useless family members, same as how pressed you were over Mariah's ex-staff members calling you out. Hit dogs holler.

Re: Alpha-Tella? (70,961) (70,964) by Edward from USA
Ribbon, Mariah referred to Stella and Mary Ann, in one of the episodes of "Mariah's Gang", as being "Alpha Females" hence their men attitudes. Then she implied she was one too. That's the last episode I pushed myself to watch, but I'm done with that mess. Licia, you're lucky you didn't even try. Now with paid actress Molly, things are even more of a joke.

Re: Tommy Mottola (70,926) (70,963) by Terna from Nigeria
Well, she has indeed stood the test of time now hasn't she? (Longevity.) And Tommy, how come he never found another big artist on par with Mariah or even bigger? I mean he tried it with Jlo but we all know how that ended. How come he faded away after she left? Tommy didn't make her the biggest star, that was predestined with the massive talent she possesses, it was inevitable with or without Tommy. Take note he was the one who ran back to the party with her demo tape in hand and consequently all round New York searching for the mysterious girl with the golden pipes, not the other way around, he had to beat other record executives to the chase. Mariah also wrote the hits not Tommy. She (all caps) is the mastermind, the one with the gold touch. The common denominator in all Mariah Carey's success is Mariah Carey.

(70,962) by Vicki from United Kingdom
Does anyone else feel like one of the best things Mariah could do for her career is hire a decent arranger/musical director? Yes we got served some strong live vocals at times in 2016 but it's obvious that she employs some lipping so presumably whatever she can do in the studio her voice and/or confidence is not able to recreate full 90s vocals in a live setting. That's fine. We all know her voice has changed for whatever reason(s). And it's sad that she seems to think that her fanbase won't accept anything other than a recreation of every original studio recording. We know how musically talented Mariah is, why not release herself from that straight jacket and rearrange some of the hits to suit her current range? Change the key, adlib, vamp it up a bit whatever. It would be interesting to hear and give her more room for manoeuvre. She'd hardly be the first singer to tacitly acknowledge a changing vocal range by performing her old hits slightly differently.

Andrew pookey bear, I never ever read your messages your negativity is contagious and that lengthy essay of a reply to me was no exception. My A.D.D kicked in the moment I saw it was you. Now, I said what I said and stand by every word. Her legacy will remain untouched, unscathed and Mariah will be remembered for decades to come as one of the best to do it. It's already even happening. Does the phrase "All I want for Christmas" ring a bell? Now sit down [censored].

You're right about the class act thing but in this day in age, you have to be tough. Maybe it's all part of the plan so that Mariah never appears to be rude and Stella takes the s----.

Re: Stella, you've revealed yourself (70,954) (70,958) by Dennis from Miami, FL
I don't think that is Stella. She's too busy ruining Mariah's career. It must be "Mariah's social network manager" Mishka. Or Sasha.
(Sunday 8 January 2017; 1:15)
Biopic (70,957) by Dennis from Miami, FL
I really hope that Stella will fail with the biopic. I don't believe she can make it right. It would be another trashy project. It's 15-20 years too early and Mariah's saga is still going on. I hope she will abandon the idea.
