Stiff (58,038) by DK from USA
Mariah appears to be quite stiff in recent appearances. Whatever the reasons behind it, as an entertainer there is a certain doze of "festivity" that you ought to project, or otherwise don't make an appearance at all. MC dislikes any "age" references but her low energy level on the screen does not help her to this end. Recently she also made a reference regarding "how rushed" the whole "A Christmas Melody" movie production felt, which is almost an indication that she too may not be super thrilled with the final product. One thing is puzzling, for a woman who is in a position to have more control in her projects, why are things always slipping away and "rushed"? I would rather her hide away for 4-5 years like Adele and come back with a solid product than put all sorta random things out there. Mimi used to be against endorsing products, etc, but not on the 25th year mark of her career she is definitely been convinced otherwise - dem babies and those diamonds come at a cost I guess.

Re: Out now: "All I Want" lip-sync (58,031) (58,037) by darrian liu from taiwan
But we all knew that she was gonna perform in Macy's way before the performance happened. I assume you've known Macy's Thanksgiving Parade for enough time not to expect a genuine live performance (I didn't know anything about the parade until Mariah performed in it this year). I did also expect her to sing live because I thought Macy's Thanksgiving Parade were like other shows where you can actually choose to sing live. I recently found out that 99% of the performances in that parade were lipped. Just cut her some slack, it's not like her voice is worsening. I have said many, many times before that Mariah's voice is making a slow comeback and soon, we'll hear Beacon-quality vocals again. I'm sure that this year, she will redeem herself in Rockefeller and gain back the public respect to her.

This is just for laughs guys. So how adorable is she with her mommy poses and all? I can't help it but the only thing she was missing to make her ensemble complete was a loaf of bread. I can see her sitting on a park bench feeding the pigeons. Too cute.

Hey Todd, I believe the comments were aimed at Adam after he replied to your initial post. You never mentioned antidepressants. Cheers.

You can expect all you want but the Macy Parade performances are always lip synced, that is common knowledge, and it's not by choice either. We all knew you would come out with a post about it, because let's face it, that's what you do and you know well enough what it causes, kind of sad actually. You can poke fun of Mariah and us all you want, says more about you then others. I hope the US Lambs had a great Thanksgiving.

Andrew pay the loyal fans dust and blow away. Every performance at Macy's was lipped. I watched the whole thing. Even Trey Songz's performance was lipped. All I could hear was his backing track the entire time. Even the country singers and Jordan Sparks lipped with a backing track. Mariah lipped at a lipped parade. Shocker.

I was shocked too B. I always expect extreme criticism from some here but that shocked me to the core. Sickening but I am happy I wasn't the only one who noticed it.

Um, yeah, I did expect her to sing live. If it was good it would have dispelled the extremely bad press from last year. Feels like a bit of an easy cop out to go on something where "you have to lip sync". And, no, it didn't take me long because I was excited to see it. What took everybody else so long? Bad, bad lambs.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone (58,030) by JAXGH from United States
Thankful for all the lambily who share same love for MC. We belong together lmao. We really shouldn't be worrying about anything. Mistakes have happened. Past is past. Mariah is in a really good place. She's working her butt off and spending time with family. Let's be happy she's never missed a single year on giving us everything. To the person saying she's afraid of singing. Well yes every singer is in the morning, with no sleep. The karaoke comment was just her being honest. It really does become so much of a vocal performance. Mariah is all for fun she just wants to sing along and be silly. Mariah will never fall out of music. It's her life. All lambs know that. About Mariah being reserved and secretive. She's always been like that since the beginning, dahlings. No one even knew she sang in high school. She's still that private person until today. Let's all be positive, love love love. God hasn't left Mariah and he never will. She's been here 25 years yet her plate is still full. Countless projects and so much more to look forward to. Happy thanksgiving you guys.

Macy's (58,028) by darrian liu from taiwan
I'm a bit bummed when I heard the lipped performance, but then when I checked other artists, they're also lipping. Probably some tech issues. Well at least she looked gorgeous. I just learned that the almost every "live performances" from Macy's Thanksgiving Parade is lipped because of tech difficulties of singing into a wireless mic in a moving vehicle. I still can't get why the media still tries to bring down Mariah with the lipping when every other artists there also lipped their performances. Talk about extreme bias.

I'm hearing AIWFCIY on the radio for the first time. Look at her and Nick being all grown spending Thanksgiving together, totally proud of them making it work. They do make a beautiful family. But yeah, Mariah is looking fire. We see you girl, we see you.

Yes. We need to be more understanding of how hard it is being Mariah Carey. I'm just thankful she showed up and allowed me to cast my eyes upon her. Be more grateful lambs.

She got herself a new coat (58,024) by Lee TS from USA
And I love it. She looked every bit the glamorous diva sitting atop that float. My only thing is such a short performance, the necklace saying [censored] you to Rockefeller, and Tatum tots was not having it being so early in the moring haha. Festiveness all around.

Death of a meteorite (58,023) by Alexis Morell Carrington Colby Dexter Rowan from USA
Sometimes I think Mariah invokes Erotica-era Madonna and intentionally does things to garner bad press. TBH, I just get life from her fashions these days. Hey, why be interesting, engaging, or singing live in good voice? As long as your hair is laid and your Disney cartoon princess gowns that real people don't wear in daily life are on fleek, then do your thing mama.

Britney, was that you? (58,022) by Alexis Morell Carrington Colby Dexter Rowan from USA
If Mariah didn't come off like 2008, Circus-era Britney in that Steve Harvey interview. On another note, I found it funny that Steve said that he and Mariah go way back, because I listen to his show and I've never heard one of her songs played from 6-10 any morning. But ok.

What the hell? Mariah is now a drug addict, a bad mother, and mentally ill. Wow. I'm ashamed of all of you. How you can call yourselves fans let alone lambs is beyond me. I'm at a loss for words. Be nice or leave. Utter lunacy. Lambily unite.

Re: Current Mariah (57,999) (58,019) by QueenLambassador from Portugal
The problem with all this is: you and others like you never accepted change. You put Mariah in a bubble and you don't or never allowed it to burst. This type of post is absolutely ridiculous, even for people like you. There is no current Mariah because for it to be current it had to be from a few weeks ago or less than that. Since Mariah has been like this for 2 decades now I don't see it as a problem. Stop picking, stop judging, stop attacking and be what fans should do: be more supportive. I wonder how long it's gonna take you people to understand Mariah from the 90's is gone. You should embrace what you get now or leave but don't act like you all know what or how MC should be or act or talk or dress or behave, you don't have that right.

You all know everyone lipped or dubbed their performance at Macy's? You know that don't you? It is impossible to sing live at this event due to the conditions. Don't be pathetic enough to pass judgement on Mariah please. This one you actual make a fool of yourselves.

Some things stay the same (58,016) by Giselle UrbanPoshBeauty from US of A
Honestly, If I were Mariah I would say forget it and move out of the country and live happily with my new guy. Some of her fans are so annoying. Always have a negative thing to say and nothing ever positive. Just like New York Daily, made a whole article talking about how fans were so mad/sad she didn't sing live this morning. As a grown woman in her 30's who has watched the Macy's day program every holiday since I was a tiny tot, everyone lip-syncs it's been like that, there's no way they can sing live with so many acts right behind each other with a live feed on national TV. There was an article written months ago, about how we should show Mariah respect and love instead of always critiquing every note she sings. The fact that she gets up there with a smile on and believe me she knows people are waiting for her to mess up so they can pounce. Even Adele has mentioned how nervous she is doing live TV because she's so in her head afraid something is going to go wrong. I respect and love Mariah, I think the problem with a lot of us and critics we put these artists on such a high pedal stool and make the icons and we love them and want them to be perfect all the time and when they don't live up to what we deem they should be we tear them down. I've learned earlier this year I've been comparing Mariah to her younger self all the time and that's not fair. She's the last of the "great divas" and I'm too happy she's still singing and giving us great music and she looks favulous. The only thing I'm going to keep reading her about is her taste in clothing and her choice to keep aging, Tired ballroom dressing stylist around boggles my damn mind. Merry Christmas to all of you. And I'm sorry for my past ignorant posts or if I offended you at all like Mimi. FYI. Mariah only is her bubbly self with people she's comfortable around, that was her first time on Steve's show and it's early AM, had it been in the PM she would of been more bubbly. I can tell she's stopped drinking lol.

Some lambs are beyond crazy (58,014) by SM from Citizen of the World
I admit I am obsessed with and love Mariah to death but 95% of these lambs who post critical posts are beyond nuts to read and to come up with these crazy illusions about her life like maybe you need to take a Mariah break and find something else to do because it is just not cool and now with the lipsync on the parade who cares like seriously who cares? And how she is acting in interviews. Who cares? Mariah will never make any of you happy anymore so go find someone else to talk trash about. And I don't care if you say you love Mariah and you have your own opinion. Who freaking cares about you trashing her?

Re: Out now: "All I Want" lip-sync (58,011) (58,013) by Stella Lewis from USA
Every other singer in the parade also lipped their performance. I think the tech team requires singers to lip sync because the float/parade can't handle a proper mic feed and maintain good sound quality. A few years ago Ariana got a lot of heat from lip singing during the Macy's parade and she said that she had no choice.

Why did it take you so long before you started your usual complaint about Mariah's lip-sync? You are so predictable. Did you really expect Mariah to sing live?
