New shows in Europe (60,666) by Otti from Belgium
Last night, I swaw a clip on YouTube of her show in Glasgow. She even sang "Loverboy". Love the big flags. I have to say the shows in Europe look much better than her number ones show in Vegas.

Re: The 90s (60,632) (60,665) by Otti from Belgium
Explain to me what do they mean with "10 cent words"? I thought "Butterfly" has her best written songs, "The roof", "My all", "Honey", "Breakdown".

M and Terna (60,663) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Thank you so much my lovelies. I am honored that you guys enjoy my posts and the feeling is completely mutual. I honestly can't thank people enough for supporting my views, especially after the nasty stunt pulled by some close minded individuals. You guys are awesome. So excited for the "slay-age" we are about to get from Mariah. It's a great time to be a MC fan, after all the bleak years we had these past few years. Hugs and kisses.

RJJ12 and Marissa (60,662) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
You guys have brought forward such excellent points and you just explained things way better than I ever could have. Those are exactly my views and the reason I post what I post, but I got so flustered and angry yesterday, I went on a train wreck rant. RJJ12's point about the importance of an artist's image and how the positive changes Mariah is bringing to her image is hinting towards or correlated to a new comeback is so true. Ever since Mariah is broken free from the "black gown and mic stand" look, she has been all about her image. Like it or not a person's image is as important as their talent nowadays because a lot of talented people are being overlooked since people don't find their image interesting enough. Marissa's point about people yearning for the fake Mariah (90-95) where she was basically Tommy's doll, is also on point. Why do people want Mariah to go back to something where she didn't feel like she was being genuine? There is a reason Mariah has a nick name of "Hood-Riah". She has been always into hip hop, she has always been into buzz words, heck I learned most of mine from her. All the talk about "why you frontin'" or "@-ing be constantly" or "stunting on instagram" these are all Mariah. So if that makes her a "twat" in your eyes, then so be it. The 90s Mariah won't come back, you might get the vocals, the songwriting, but as for her image, she will always be a girly girl and she will always be the one who changes from one outfit to another when she moves from one room to another like you saw on Cribs. And since that's what she is about, I don't think talking about her fashion is something that is off limits. Sorry for my random rant yesterday but I am done being attacked for stupid reasons after every few weeks.

Martyn, did you happen to be wearing a Daydream tour t-shirt at the Manchester concert? Where you with a group of boys, one of them wearing the Charmbracelet tour t-shirt?

Re: That voice (60,641) (60,660) by Billy from Greece
Hey enwar. I will indeed travel to Amsterdam to catch the show there. Although I couldn't resist succumbing to
"spoilers" (that is, watching clips from the UK shows), I'm still very excited about attending and I'm waiting to see what it feels like to hear a "My All" big note or an "Emotions" intro live. A comment on a YouTube video has stayed me with me: "The videos don't do her justice." So there, that has me "toss and turn in my bed".

Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour (60,659) by Anthony Carey from U.K
Wanted to ask if anybody has heard whether there will be a tour programme? I did ask at both Leeds and Manchester stalls however they both stated they are not certain and it's because it's too early into the tour. I am praying we do get a tour programme as I have every one so far, plus if not been to Europe since 2003 would be nice to have one "for the nostalgia" and my collection of new merchandise aka everything they sold lacks a programme to be complete.

Mariah - Leeds and Manchester show timings (60,658) by Anthony Carey from U.K
Well there seems to be some unfortunate press regarding Mariah's "late" arrival to these shows even to the point where some reports are quoting her tweets etc prior to event arrival, this is clearly just being somewhat pathetic as I posted earlier the arena staff was informing concert attendee's that Mariah will arrive onstage at 8.45pm. First of all, I go to many concerts every year supporting artists and music and have never been to a concert that started before 9.00pm, secondly I was in the VIP seats for the shows and my ticket plus information was as follows (quoted by Ticketmaster uk) Doors 18.30 / Registration 18.30 - 21.00 / Support 20.00 and Mariah Carey 21.15. So a 15 minute wait, certainly not bad when I have waited longer for many other artists. However what certainly does annoy me is when other artists have been "late", where was the press then? Christmas shows Mariah was "on time", Las Vegas shows 10 minutes late. I look at it this way, if Mariah was an hour late she is certainly worth it considering she hasn't toured in the UK since 2003 so suck it up and just enjoy the fact we finally have Mariah back in our country.

Album 2016 (60,657) by Lainsky from Philippines
If she will release a new album this year I just hope she brings back the sound of her 90's music. Pop leaning towards R&B. Either with a mid-tempo or heavy love song ballad (ala Lead The Way) as a carrier single. I miss those sounds of her. And Mariah can title her album with "Like Old Days" or any one-word title like she used to do. Lately I've been listening and liking a lot "To Be Around You", "Love Takes Time" and "Lead The Way" and I realized gosh I am missing her old music. If Adele can pull off a ballad piano-accompanied-only, why can't she?

Re: Mariah - Leeds show (60,567) (60,656) by Anthony Carey from U.K
This is obviously where you are getting the "facts" mixed up/somewhat confused as if you read my previous article. Ticketmaster confirmed to myself and probably many others that the order of events are: Doors 18.30 / Registration 18.30 - 21.00 / Support 20.00 then Mariah Carey 21.15. Which means therefore Mariah arrived 15 minutes later than scheduled which to be fair isn't bad considering the current press of other touring artists.

I guess you're just old. Mimi L you're my favorite on this board. Keep being yourself, you are exactly what Mariah Carey stands for a beautiful person genuinely, inside as well as out.

Best night of my life (60,654) by Martyn from England, UK
I went to see Mariah at the Manchester Arena on Friday and I can honestly say it was one of the best nights of my life. I was so nervous about vocals/showmanship etc. but it was incredible from start to finish. I reckon even Andrew will only have good things to say.

It was me that wrote the article Mara haha, and yes I am a lamb. Really bizarre seeing it on this site. As for the video L.H., I had always thought it was pre-fame but maybe I'm wrong?

I was at the Manchester show. There was no booing. If I couldn't hear it in the centre of the arena, I doubt Mariah would have heard it backstage.

Stuck in the 90s (60,649) by Marissa from USA
What is the point of the call for everyone to get somber and serious all of a sudden? The artist that we like is a fun person. I am convinced that the people who are constantly hung up on the 90s really aren't fans of Mariah's authentic self. She has said countless times that who she presented herself to be from 90-95 was her being fake because she felt she didn't have the freedom to be herself in her career and marriage. So essentially you fell in love with an act. The somber, bleak, demure, constant ballad-singing image that people are stuck on was crafted and is not who she is. So when you want everything to go back to how it was in the 90s, you're asking her to go back to an image that was never real. Buzzwords, R&B, Hip-Hop, fabulosity, evening gowns, etc. is the real Mariah. If you like long black dresses, powerful singing, no other side projects, ballads and no buzzwords then Adele sounds like an artist more suited for you. And I'm being dead serious. Mariah isn't that girl. Of course little things MC does might annoy us (for example, I'm over "dahling"), but if no matter how many improvements she makes and success she gets you still feel like she needs a complete career overhaul then you're not a fan of the real her. I'm not saying this to intimidate anyone or be cliquish, I'm just trying to make people see that sometimes you're beating a dead horse and would be happier finding another artist who isn't constantly going in a direction that you dislike or disagree with.

I've noticed (60,648) by Giovanni from USA
That there is someone on the board who low key shades Mariah in practically every one of their posts. Always putting some known or in this case, "unknown" singer up against Mariah and saying they are better. Like why do you do this? I want to know. Nobody may care but, Mariah and Patti are the only two singers who have given me chills with their singing. In my opinion the best female voices ever. The notes these women hit are simply impressive. In case you didn't know Mariah has always been able to destroy just about any singer with her whistle register. As well as having the messa di voice. Beyonce also has the messa di voice, but Mariah is above her. Another words Mariah is the "songbird supreme". Ain't nobody ever touching her.

Next album title (60,647) by Giovanni from USA
I absolutely love "Phoenix". Very good album title RJJ12. I'm sticking with "Songbird Supreme", "Empress Supreme", "Empress" or "Phoenix". I'm loving "Phoenix" lol.

Randy (60,646) by Giovanni from USA
But wasn't Mariah the executive producer of her last album? Just saying. I really could care less about songwriting credits. If it's written 50/50 why should it matter? Mariah just needs a hit. Regardless if she wrote it all herself or not.

Re: The 90s (60,632) (60,645) by JAXGH from United States
"Mariah was never considered a serious singer/songwriter." Are you serious right now? She was never considered a serious singer? Songwriter maybe, not a lot of people knew she wrote (lambily did) but you know damn well every girl in the 90's wanted to sing like Mariah. Ian wasn't talking about how the "music critiques" viewed her. You got the wrong idea my friend. He was talking about the excitement of everybody knowing a real singer/songwriter is releasing new material. I can't believe you would even have the nerves to say she was never considered a serious "singer", like are you kidding me? The music industry gave countless awards to Mariah all throughout her first decade. She topped MTV's greatest voice in music. She gave birth to Beyonce, Rihanna, Christine, Ariana, Adele, Kelly and so much more. All female artists in the music industry knows nobody is in Mariah Carey's level when it comes to singing in the 90's. People knew her as a "singer". An incredibly extra ordinarily seriously talented singer.

Collabs for the new album (60,644) by 123 from USA
I would like Mariah to collaborate with The Internet. The best way to describe their sound is Groove Theory 2016. Songs like: Girl, Partners In Crime Part Three, Something's Missing, Just Sayin/I Tried would give her a fresh new sound. It would perfectly pick up where Miguel and Happy Perez left off. Penthouse Cloud has the type of deep lyrics that I would like Mariah to revisit. A song about all the violence in the world recently. Check them out.

Go girl. Don't ever allow them to stop you because you are one of those few lambs that brings light and fun on this board. And just want for you to know that I will use the same profile photo like yours haha. I just can't deal with the "slayage" that Mariah is giving us these past few days. From the performances to the photo shoots and all that, she is certainly not playing around. Love her.
