Mariah Carey - My All live Finland (61,075) by 123 from USA
I love a jazzier version of My All. It would be nice to see her switch this song up and remix it to a jazzier number.

Mariah Carey - Emotions live Finland (61,074) by 123 from USA
Ok Mariah. I like the way you took command of that stage even before you actually start the song with your ad libs. This is exactly how she should be performing this song. Here's Mariah giving a lot of vocal, body, and command of the stage. I love the asking to turn up her head phones "a lit bit" to calling out the fan's sign without missing a beat.

Re: Article: Mariah hasn't sung her biggest hit once on current tour (61,054) (61,073) by enwar00 from usa
I feel like she has said that before prior to her tours, and it never happens. Maybe she's too lazy to switch up the show. Someone had mentioned they'd hoped Loverboy and When You Believe wouldn't end up being the only different songs she sang, but looks like that's the way it went after all. I can't wait for her Anti tour.

I agree about IBT. I love the song, but there are so many other choices I would replace it with if I could. I'd also retire Hero. Lol I was super excited to hear a clip of Loverboy and a Glitter medley would be awesome. That's my second favorite album. It sucks that it didn't do well on the charts because Glitter is actually a great album if you love 80's music. The songs that were new went along well with the remakes. Good to see some Glitter love.

To Stella, who it probably concerns (61,070) by Andrew from UK
I, for one, want to give a shout to Stella. This woman is taking some flack and it's possibly misplaced. She's extravagant and outspoken, well great. As someone posted here: that picture got talked about, didn't it? (And completely nothing more than Mariah has done before.) Maybe that's why they get on. I don't believe MC is not the boss. But as far as it goes, on a personal note, it's taken a big shift in Mariah's career for me to get on board. Whilst my concerns still remain, I'm not waiting for a new album for Stella to prove herself, to me Stella is doing a bloody good job right now. Remember Mariah languishing in obscurity? Well, she ain't there no more. About time lambs started getting on board with this woman. I didn't think it could move in the right direction and you can't not give the manager the respect when it's due. So she told the interviewer they were blessed to have met Mariah etc etc. This woman seems a fight-to-the-end kinda girl. And she has her kids on the case. I'm on board. I think Mariah sees a do-or-die passion in her. So what if she sells herself? She's selling Mariah ten times over. Hashtag Stella4Mariah. What's to lose?

AYNAF would've been vocal suicide. That song is just out-of-this-world difficult. But a snippet would've been nice indeed. I really hoped she'd sing Open Arms, at least in the UK since it did well here. How I wish she would drop I'll Be There for once and sing something else. I'm so over that song. But I guess we'll never hear the end of it since it's an easy duet moment with Trey being around her all the time. I still can't get over Loverboy being on the setlist. She's finally embraced Glitter. I hope one day she gives us a Glitter medley with Lead The Way, Don't Stop, LNADJSML, DMTTYO. Uhh the whole album. I would just die.

The tour is working II (61,067) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Mariah's getting better at navigating her way through her more challenging songs to avoid the more difficult parts to sing during her performances. Her ad libs were always good - she just has that talent, but now the way she does them makes them sound more natural and seem less like a cop out. And since I'm in a forum of the queen of shade where posters have been well-trained to detect even the slightest hint of shade (haha), I assure you that I meant this observation as a compliment. Also, she's regaining her confidence, which is always a good thing.

Re: Mariah was fabulous in Helsinki / Andrew (61,059) (61,064) by Billy from Greece
Tiina, that was pretty much the situation when I got the chance to take a group photograph with Mariah back in 2009, during the Christmas event at Westfield London. Luckily, I didn't have to pay that extravagant amount of money as I won at a contest, but it was out of fear of experiencing what you just described that I decided to opt out of choosing the meet & greet package this time. Although it was surreal that I met her and it was a dream come true, imagine having five people trying to concurrently talk to her, while chaos taking place, while cameras are shooting, while security directing you, while etc. I did manage to say a couple of words to her quickly (though, in retrospect, when I think of the way I phrased it I'm like "what was I thinking") which made her turn and grab my hand tightly (which really took me off guard in the best way possible), and although I know this would be the closest I could get to Mariah at this point in her life and career, I wish there was a more intimate setting with no cameras that would allow me to spend maybe a couple of minutes with her. For instance, the fans that were backstage at the Jimmy Fallon thing in 2013 were much luckier I guess. But yeah, on the hand you want to meet your idol, but there is always the chance of being let down, not necessarily because of their behavior (and we all know Mariah is the kindest and most cordial towards her fans) but the whole saga that comes along with it sort of leaves me now wanting to admire from afar.

Re: Mariah was fabulous in Helsinki / Andrew (61,059) (61,063) by Andrew from UK
I assumed you had to pay for it but it sounded really rushed in your first message due to a "schedule". What came to my mind was: surely the schedule should be written around those paying for it. €700 is, I think, currently about £600 or US$800 - that's an enormous amount of money. I guess the logic behind it is: backstage meet-and-greets can happen but if there's no fee everyone would want one. I think at least one uninterrupted minute with an artist and a chance for a few shots at the photo would at least be in order for that amount. But sod it, you met her and that's very cool.

"Anytime you need a friend" was number 1 for like a month and half not 100. Sorry.

New era (61,061) by Giovanni from USA
I also believe that we'll be getting another "Daydream" or "The Emancipation Of Mimi" era with the next album. Mariah must have at least two or three number one songs ready to go. But she needs good videos and promotion.

I absolutely agree with you. AYNAF is one of her greatest hits. I wish Open Arms was also in the setlist.

Re: Mariah was fabulous in Helsinki / Andrew (61,059) by Tiina from Finland
Yes, of course I paid for it. And it wasn't cheap. I must say, for all the money I paid, one thing that was disappointing was that the meet and greet was extremely rushed. It wasn't really even a proper meet and greet, it was just a few seconds with Mariah to take one picture. And when I say a few seconds, I mean literally. All in all I spent probably 7-10 seconds in her presence to take the photo. Don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful and blessed to have been able to do it. I also understand that the schedule is very tight and I didn't expect to be able to sit down and have an hour long conversation with her talking about how much she means to me. But it's not right that we pay so much money for the meet and greet only to be rushed through it. I just saw the photo they took of me and her last night and although I'm relieved that it turned out pretty good, I look distant and my hands are in an awkward position and what's upsetting is that Mariah isn't even looking at the camera. It was because there were so many different people around rushing us and the security guy told us to not try and grab her before we went in, so I was nervous because I didn't want to do anything wrong on top of being nervous about meeting her and looking decent in the photo. What I don't appreciate is that I paid 700 euros to be able to meet her and for the photo opportunity and they couldn't even wait for a few seconds for me to be able to exchange those few short words with Mariah without feeling like I risked the photo I paid so much money for and then for us both to get in position to take the picture. That would have taken maybe 5 seconds. They started taking photos right away and it all happened in a blink of an eye and then they rushed me out. Although I left there feeling emotional and happy about meeting her, I was also scared that the photo would turn out to be a disaster. Some fans got blurry photos even though these pictures were supposed to be taken by a professional photographer, at least my photo is in high resolution. I still feel like it was worth it, though, just because I love Mariah so much. It was just way over priced. We didn't even get front row seats.

Pic (61,058) by Giovanni from USA
Whether or not that pic was taken with or without Mariah's consent it's still a bad pic regardless. I feel Mariah sometimes tries too hard to be sexy. She needs to let those "Honey" and "Rainbow" days go. She isn't in her 20's anymore. To me she's the sexiest when she's covered up in a glamorous ensemble.

That growl (61,057) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
At 0.11 in this link. The confidence in the walk and just everything just seems like a whole new Mariah. I love it. I can't wait to see what's next. And f.y.i. clearly this is 100% live.

Adele (61,056) by Giovanni from USA
I agree that "When we were young" was a poor choice for her second single. She should have went with "Send my love (to your new lover)". I will say that after giving "25" another chance I like it much more now. It's definitely growing on me. "Water under the bridge", "Love in the dark", "Sweetest devotion". And I wouldn't count her out just yet with "25". There are plenty of songs on her album that have potential to be another number one. What I'd like from her for future albums would be more up tempos, jazz and some gospel.

To whom it may concern (61,055) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I see some people (well actually just one person) try stir up a fight with me when they themselves are always complaining on this board. I am choosing to completely ignore this person from here on. Simply not worth my time. You know who you are and this is exactly what I feel. (Mainly the you don't exist to me.) I wish you well.

Article: Mariah hasn't sung her biggest hit once on current tour (61,054) by Gilles from Malta
True in a certain way. Before touring she said that she is going to sing differents songs from her repertoire and adapt the setlist to the countries. In fact in Luxembourg "Anytime you need a friend" was number 100 for like a month and a half and she didn't sing a single note of it. Anyway we are just happy that she performed here. But she shouldn't have said such a thing before.

Article: Mariah shows off her incredible figure in tight red dress (61,052) by jonny from china
I talked to one of the people on Mariah's payroll list and they said some of her past managers had to be let go for temporary reasons not personal reasons. Tthis sounds nothing like Mariah because by now all lambs should know how Mariah talks and I don't think this sounds like something that will come out of her mouth.

She looks stunning (61,051) by Terna from Nigeria
Mariah is really looking hot recently. I can say she looks the best she's ever looked 26 years into her career. Even that golden glow she had but lost is back. This woman ain't playing. I have a feeling we are going to get a massive Daydream/Emancipation hybrid comeback this year. I love her.
