Re: Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party (60,086) (60,088) by Terna from Nigeria
She's looking her best so far this year like are you serious? I don't see tiredness, I see a woman who looks a decade younger than her true age, glowing, fresh and in the best space she has ever been in years. Easily the best looking female at the event.

The red carpet goddess and the eye situation (60,087) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I will start off by saying MC looked really good at the event. Her waist is tiny, I liked the asymmetrical shape of the gown (I do wish she would leave black behind for a while). Her hair had the effortless glam situation and it was gorgeous, unlike some of her unflattering curls (no not the natural ones, she just has moments where her hairstylist gives her bad curls). The necklace, I'm not feeling it. She had the very Butterfly-Rainbow era look going on here. However I get the eye situation M mentioned. I don't think it's something permanent, I think they are doing something wrong with the makeup that's why in the shots where she is looking straight ahead, her left eye seems a little closed up as you can see here. Regardless, I wouldn't worry about it, it happens to me too sometimes. So blame it on the camera. I see her team took yet another one of our suggestions, and got rid of those bad eyelashes and we have more natural ones now. I absolutely love how she looks here. So beautiful. Very 2013.

So I think it's just me. But really in some photos she looked tired because of what is going in her eyes and she looks stiff in the red carpet, just look at this.

M what are you talking about? The woman looks nearly flawless. How can you suggest that she "get her eye bags done"? That is just cold hearted. She looks gorgeous to me. I wonder how you will look when you are her age.

Work is a mumbo jumbo of disparate elements. She's gambling her longevity. The mighty may have fallen here.

Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party (60,083) by Malcolm from Asia
She looks glam, fab and all that but her eye bags are really bothering me, her face looks tired especially in her left eye. You are worth 500+ million Mariah please fix your eye bags, you look like [...] came from [...] studio and [...] records all night long, is that your clue for us that you are really perfecting this next album? haha. And she is taller than Nicki, Ariana and Beyonce but why [...] it look like they are the same height or even shorter. I guess it's really time for Mariah and her stylists to study and analyze on how she will look taller, fierce, and pose ala America's next top model. I really feels envy in JLo's glam team for Mariah because that woman is always looking snatched every single damn time, I wish MC will hire modern stylists like that too. She did it in 2013 but why all of the sudden she lost all that looks and style. I wish she will bring back this look, the hair color, the hair style, the make-up, the posture, I can't, she looks youthful and radiant.

TEOM vs MIAM The Elusive Chanteuse (60,082) by Gilles from Malta
Like a lot of people here I love The Emancipation of Mimi. WBT was a hit, it's like that was so good and Urban and the others tracks were very good, and the remixes of "Say something" were excellents as "My all". I must say that I still think and love Me I Am Mariah The Elusive Chanteuse, because it was and is a really good album. There was a touch of everything that I love about MC and it is her last current album. The Emancipation Of Mimi is a reference as an achievement of good songs and good promotion. The Elusive Chanteuse did lack of promotion and marketing but regarding me it is a really good album. Having a next number one, it is not a priority on my side. If she realeases a body of work and art like her last album, I will feel very satisfy and proud. My expectations are very limited, I've just hoped that she will sing on her next album something like Jazz as lullaby of birdland don't explain and will use more real instruments as an orchestra than electro. On the other hand I would love that she makes a tour singing different songs than number one's. It is funny to say but I can not listen at them anymore, I am done with them even if I still like them, I just do not love them anymore, it is passé and repetitive. Have a nice week everybody.

Re: 5th Lambily (60,071) (60,081) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
May. I won't defend "Work" being a great song. I completely understand people are either loving it or hating it. I enjoy that it's very laid back, casual, and not trying too hard. For me it's just simply a catchy melody with infectious music behind it, and it doesn't help that I just so happen to have a special affinity for when Rihanna marries her island flair with a modern crisp hip hop flavored sound. I 100% agree with you on the video though, I wanted to love it, but it was just very meh to me as well not worth a second watch whatsoever. Anywho have you all seen how glorious our queen looked at Elton John's Oscar party. Dahling she's looking like a billion bucks with interest. I'm loving this new space she's in, she's definitely gotten her swag, confident, and happy glow back. Thanks James. I feel a second coming of "Mimi" headed our way.

Re: Someone (60,076) (60,080) by David F from Mexico
Ok lamb calm down I am learning to accept it too here is no denying Rihanna is going for Mariah's crown for sure that girl is sick for a place in history as an outsider Riri wants to put her name up high so her islanders feel proud about her jaja if you are smart enough you'll see what she is doing to stay relevant I guess pulling a Miley twerking to Drake in live tv is not talent what she is selling is something else she is a product let's enjoy Mariah's reign while it lasts. Wendy was so right she can't be a legend twerking like that and her love life is a mess the whole world will hear when she comes out of the closet haven't seen her with a man in a long time.

2016 Essence festival (60,079) by 123 from USA
So I just read that Mariah will be performing at this year's festival. The festival runs from June 30th-July 3rd. Interesting that she keeps booking events without any new music... yet.

Adele vs Mariah (60,078) by Giovanni from USA
I really hope Mariah's next album gets more than one nomination for a Grammy. As talented and legendary as she is, she should have way more than five. But someone like Beyonce has 30. (*being sarcastic*) Her father helped her get her Grammys. Mariah was robbed in 2006 for album of the year. Adele came back strong with a hit song and sold millions but her album overall wasn't as great as "21". Which is okay because not every album from an artist can be as good as the other. What I'm saying is "25" might be nominated for album of the year but it isn't that good of an album. But if Mariah can score at least two number ones (which I know she can) she might have a better chance of winning. Also, I hear Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera will be releasing albums this year.

Re: Age (60,058) (60,077) by Musti from UK
I absolutely agree. At the time TEOM was released there was Hollaback Girl, there was Pon De Replay, and then there was the masterpiece that is WBT. She doesn't need to replicate what others do to succeed. In my opinion part of the reason why the whole thing was so successful was because TEOM was a departure from her usual sound and vocal style. It was simpler, yet it was art at its best. Only she can do that. People may love mocking Mariah, but they love it even more when she's on top of her game. All she needs is a good single.

Someone (60,076) by George Golden from UK
Mariah has to wake up now. Someone is coming for her crown. Please let's not deceive ourselves that it doesn't matter. It matters very much so. Think about it the when Mariah scored her 18th number one this person only had one. We need a hit song. I mean a hit song that does not need Mariah's name to be number one, but it just has to be. She doesn't have to write it. She has to look for a smash hit from a hot current and relevant producer.

Saw the video for "Work from Home". Fifth Harmony did good. I don't listen to their music but I like them because they are always fan-girling over Mariah and always include a tribute to her in their shows.

Re: Honey bodysuit (60,057) (60,073) by May from Denmark
She is looking very pretty lately. I'm liking her new ash blonde and the sleek thing going on but nothing will even beat that dark blonde almost brown hair color she used to have. But I love our "golden girl", she looks like a trophy herself haha. Her image is becoming more and more glam and elegant, I like it. Still, now that she is gaining her figure back, I expect to see more legs, perhaps some cute looking shorts doing a comeback this summer.

Re: Age (60,068) (60,072) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
She probably said that at that time because she thought it would be years before her title was threatened (and also because after the backlash she received from the Elvis fans, she didn't want to stir drama by saying she is eyeing the Beatles) haha. But now with Rihanna on her 14th #1, with a possibility to score more in the next few months, she will probably get her fire back.

Re: 5th Lambily (60,065) (60,071) by May from Denmark
Oh gawd Lambochop, I listened [...] the song Work just yesterday for [...] first time and it is hideous. It's terribly repetitive and I don't know if anyone noticed, Riri seems to be singing in a very "lazy" way lately, like, she doesn't even bother pronouncing any words or have any sort of diction. I think her voice in [...] studio sounds good (can't say the same live) but this new album to me is unbearable. I think two songs sound really nice and there are interesting intros. But most songs sound repetitive, yet Work has got to be the most annoying of all "work work repeat 60 times slur some words, dirt repeat 60 times slur more undecipherable words work" haha. That's how it sounded to me, and the video was meh, more twerk and nasty rubbings for the shocks in an almost equal but not true sexy-sexy (just raunchy) ambience like in Roxanne sang by George Michael. Amazing how one video can have the exact same palette of colors and yet one smells like STDs and the other one looks so classy and poetic. Riri's ballad sounds better than her piece of "Work", hope for a much nicer looking video as well goes with it. Tired of all the raunchy looking videos that are not even safe for watch if you have a 5 years old running in the house haha, it's like some videos are becoming an "after 10 pm" type of thing.

Good points. I wasn't buying that statement either. I think they were just buttering up The Beatles' fans so their weaves slide off easier when she comes for them. Haha.

Kiss it better (60,069) by Giovanni from USA
I actually took the time and listened to this [censored] song everyone seems to be so crazy about. And I just can't understand why. It's a total snooze fest. Mariah needs to come and slay this umbrella girl.

Age (60,068) by Giovanni from USA
Mariah is only 45 and still looks amazing. She can definitely make another comeback and continue scoring number ones. Look at the garbage that's topping Billboard. You tell me the artist will the most number ones cannot get more. "We belong together" and "Don't forget about us" are massive hits. She's bound to break The Beatles record some day if she chooses to. It's all up to her really. But I know deep down she does. She surpassed Elvis and she'll surpass The Beatles. I was not buying the "we aren't trying to go near them" line on Jimmy Kimmel. You ain't fooling nobody Mimi. You know you want to and you will.

Re: Mariah's next album title (60,052) (60,067) by Giovanni from USA
I think simply "The Elusive Chanteuse" would have sufficed. I just hope the next title is good and strong, as well as the cover. The album cover to "Infinity" is one of her worst. I loved all the ensembles you posted. Mariah does not look her age when she's in shape. And the make up she wore in 2013 was nice. I can't wait to see what's in store this year. Mariah is going to slay.

Re: 5th Lambily (60,062) (60,065) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
Work is already #1 on BB. I can't lie I do love Rihanna's new album, but ironically Kiss It Better is my least favorite song on it. I've heard many cite it as a highlight and I just don't get why. *shrugs* Consideration, Work, Desperado, Yeah I Said It, Needed Me, Love On The Brain, and Sex With Me have been in heavy rotation since the album dropped. Okay I'm sorry lambily back to the queen of music Ms Mariah Carey Mottola Cannon Packer (just for laughs don't come for me). I can't wait for her snatch wigs and reclaim her thrown with her new music. The voice is in powerful, confident, and even cocky shape, so I don't think she's coming to play, she's coming to slay.

Watch top ten performances and Kelly Clarkson (60,064) by Tevin from USA
I think everybody should watch the last episode that just aired on American Idol. Kelly Clarkson gave good advice, mentioned Mariah Carey, and she talked about how she was gonna get booded because she didn't like Justin Bieber's song and Shawn Mendez, she talked about having longevity and other contestants mentioned Mariah Carey also. Just goes to show. Even with a show that treated Mariah wrong, her name will still be heard.
