I watched Mariah's performance and I really enjoyed it. She can still sing it's not like when she came out in the nineties but she can still sing her face off. She was even trying to do something a little bit different to let the audience know that hey I can still sing and I am singing live not all was live but most of it was. I would like to know what you guys think. Do you think she was singing live or was she lipping it? Well I love Mariah I have loved her since day one. She is incomparable. Mariah Carey often duplicated never imitated. You guys also have to remember that all these young girls like Christina (42), Britney (41), Jessica (43), Beyoncé (42) and so forth studied Mariah so they can be like her. I often come on this board but hardly ever post anything but when she does a good job I would like to leave a positive message to up lift her. Let her know that her die hard fans like me are with her. Everyone has a right to feel how they want and say what they want this is a free country. I have always been one of her biggest fans because I have always wanted to sing and I love singers with big voices. I love you Mariah you are such an inspiration.

I have said it before, but if Mariah had stuck with her skincare beauty and makeup products, she would have an empire that is bigger than Rihanna's multi-billion dollar Fenty, or even at least bigger than Gaga's Haus Labs. Mariah's beauty is much more timeless.

Kudos to MC tonight at the Billboard Awards. In addition to performing AIWFCIY for the first time on the Billboard Awards show, she will be awarded the Chart Achievement Award for it. MC keeps crushes these achievement awards. Previously she was awarded the Icon Award in 2019 and the Artist of the Decade Award in 1999.

You'd be stiff too if you just defrosted after 10 months. She's singing better than she did last year and earlier this year whenever she's not lipping. And she's finally not making that awkward face when she is lipping. She's looking good, she's even helping the staff mop and making up impromptu songs again.
In the photo montage clip that ET posted from the first show I noticed Bryan was in one of the Christmas dinner pictures. If they've broken up she wouldn't know him anymore. This is the first tour in ages he's not there with her by her side for whatever reason. She obviously misses him terribly and is trying to be as happy on stage as she can right now. Her second show was already an improvement plus the general audience/public are loving it. One thing I will say is that the set design isn't helping Mariah much this year. Does not seem as elaborate and kitsch as it has been the previous years, seems a little bare and cold.

She seems to be checking the monitors for re-structured lyric arrangements. I hope over the course of the shows she has to do this less and rely on memory. I am going to the United Center show, why not right?

Yeah she's a little bit low energy, but she pulled out songs she hasn't sung in almost 10 years and killed it and she's singing live. Mariah is going through real vocal issues and I wish the fans would be a little bit more understanding. She obviously has taken our advice and seen some form of voice therapist and or coach because she sounds much better than she did this time last year and even all the way back to the pandemic year. I hope she gets even better.

I didn't join the board until 1999 if I am not mistaken. Were we all just positive on here in 1999? I think it is hard for us to watch these videos knowing that she is capable of doing so much better. If we didn't care we wouldn't be on here. Maybe we didn't expect to see all that's happening to manifest in her 50s. I know that she is human, but I want her to shine a little be more at her age. Let's see how Debbie Allen makes her shine Sunday on the Billboard Awards.

I hate people who complain about stupid things like that. Mariah is a normal human being and not every day will be her best day, can't they just imagine themselves going through something difficult in their own lives and have people complain about their so not great days.

Yesterday I saw in the news that Dolly Parton is releasing a rock album. With the age of 77 I find it pretty cool. I think she has great humour. In the interview they asked from Country to Rock? And she said, because she's in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame so she had to do an album for the genre.
