I don't know if you're a man or a woman. I just know you're TJ from Norway. To be clear, I'm not a woman. And I can see from your comment that your educational system is pitch perfect. Early morning sarcasm. Carry on TJ.

Quantity vs quality (105,086)

I'll go for 6/10 Mariah album with a couple of big impact hits, that'll set the stage for her next projects and introduce her to new listeners. I really hope she has a solid roll out plan this time. We don't want more test and abandon singles. Also let's be real a 6/10 Mariah album is still going to be better than most of the albums out there.

Would you rather have a rated 6/10 Mariah album with one or two big hits (top 10 or better on Billboard) or a solid 9/10 album (because nothing will beat the perfection of Daydream) with no popular hit singles (doesn't hit the top 40 on Billboard)? Of course I'm hoping we get a solid quality album with hits, but I'm curious to hear what you all pick.

You know TJ from Norway, sometimes finding like minded people doesn't mean you're right. Sometimes it just means there's like minded people. For starters, there was nothing "extreme" in RJ's post, RJ was simply calling it like it is. Wanna talk about how there's people out here that believe Trump won the last election and is the current President here. Now that's extreme. Also there was no mention of Tik Tok and judging from his previous rants, I know for a fact Edward doesn't know much or the meaning of the term woke. You probably don't either. Human decency is what we're actually needing more of.

I want a jazz album by Mariah. I don't care about teenage listeners. But if we get a smash dance hit, that would be great too. Or retro-soul inspired songs like "When I feel it", "Meteorite" and "Mezmerized". I think Mariah will surprise us anyway. So we'll see what direction she finally choose.

I'm confused what people are asking, do you want Mariah to have another [hit] that resonates with young listeners, or try and reignite the fire that was the holy trinity of the '90's (Mariah, Whitney, Celine)? I want Mariah to have a smash dance hit that breaks her mold. We talk about how [Charmbracelet] walked, so TEOM could sprint. I have the same feeling about Caution. it was a precursor to what we will experience next.
On a different note, who said "no one expected Mariah to speak like that" in regard to GTFO? GTFO, and the [remix] she's on for Unforgettable ("Sip on this drink 'till I'm [censored] up"), even "Clown" from [Charmbracelet] ("I should've never given you my [censored] two way") she sings the "f-word". Mariah's success is based on her versatility. Christmas to f-bombs. I personally love it.

6/10 quality type of album is going to be what puts MC back on top. Back to back Top 5 hits on the new album would put a smile on many of our faces. It could lead to a deluxe edition being released with 2-3 new tracks. Something tells me that we are in for something better than Caution and MIAM. MC is being really quiet about who she is working with this time. Who knows we may get a David Guetta dance track or a Ryan Tedder power ballad. Those two are on my wish list.

Nowhere did I suggest she try AI or anything of the sort. It was merely an observation and thought on a new course of action. This song is contemporary R&B and electro pop which could be fresh for her and open her sound back to some pop. Sheesh.

It's a good thing that you guys are opening your eyes in some parts of Europe, especially about protecting children from the madness that's going on here. They're like a cult, they want justice, equality and inclusion as long as your part of the clan, if you're not, the love, inclusion and equality turn into canceling, doxxing hatred. Some of them even cringe and start crying.

I know what the word woke means and where it came from. I also know what is has become and where it is going. So, before referring to me making assumptions about things you don't know, just think how stupid that would make you look. The fact that you cringe, like most of these woke TikTokers do, is very telling, so put the phone down, Andrew is not here anymore.

Please, no songs on MC16 should sound like Starboy or any The Weekend song. MC should focus on recreating the sound of Butterfly's ballads like My All, Fourth of July, Close My Eyes and Whenever You Call. These are the type of songs that will make radio play MC again. Radio programmers laughed at Save The Day. It was just a horrible idea to include Lauren Hill on the song. GTFO was a hot track, but didn't stick because no one believed MC talked like that to her man. Just mentioning a couple of songs in the futuristic style of Starboy that didn't do anything for MC's career. I believe she gotten the memo this time after Caution was rushed, MIAM had some less than flattering vocal moments, and Memoirs underperformed because L.A. Reid botched the promotional rollout and remix album plans.

Mariah is not at a weight that would cause her to be winded whilst walking. Come on. Even at her biggest, Mariah would never be considered overweight by any stretch of the imagination. Certainly not to the extent that she would be unable to breathe.
I've been thinking more and more about what Mariah's actual ailment is. I genuinely believe she perhaps has some form of auto immune disease, like Lupus or MS, but hasn't divulged it. It may be that it is being managed fine with specialist care, or not severe enough to warrant any public announcement, or she simply may not want to advertise it.
Purely speculating of course, but I do wonder. It's also something she, I think, has probably been dealing with for years.
