Music video (40,706) by 123 from USA
Mariah may be filming in Puerto Rico with Indrani. Anyone familiar with their work? I would be interested to see in case it is true.

Possible covers (40,705) by 123 from USA
I hope one of the covers ends up being Lullaby Of Birdland. I need a jazz album from Mariah, or at least a few tracks. The only Whitney song I would be interested in hearing Mariah sing is I Will Always Love You, just to hear how she would sound on it and what direction she would take. I do like the idea someone had of having it be another duet with them two, maybe Mariah replacing one of Whitney’s verses and chorus. Maybe Exhale? If I had my choice, I would like Mariah to redo Lyeoka Simply Falling. I think it's cool that the UK fans are getting together. I wonder if there is a gathering for fans in Chicago?

Will (40,704) by Isaac from USA
No, none. Mariah needs to release a song she or someone else wrote or produced. People like me haven't been waiting 4 years to hear Mariah cover a song by Whitney. It's probably just a rumor I hope.

Whitney cover, post or pre Mariah? (40,703) by Will from Australia
It would be interesting to see if it does happen whether it will be a post Mariah or pre Mariah cover. Mariah has mentioned that Roe will be on the album so maybe Your Love Is My Love like Whitney and her daughter? I don't really like You Give Good Love To Me, it always bored me. I would love to hear All At Once or Didn't We Almost Have It All if It's a pre Mariah cover and then either Miracle or I'm Your Baby Tonight post Mariah.

You're damn right I'm entitled to my opinion. And I stand by it. Mariah still has her voice. So don't insult or come at my lady stating that her voice is far from what it used to be. Some fan you are. I say she sounds great. You have to realize and take into consideration that she's been singing for 23 years, hello. Mariah to me will always be and sound great. I don't care what anyone says.

Cover (40,695) by clueey23 from USA
I don't want a Whitney cover. Maybe a sample perhaps, but a whole Whitney song? I would something like she did with the Jodeci sample on "Impossible" or "Back in The Day" in "Candy Bling". But a whole WH song, I couldn't do it and I honestly think MC has way more respect for Whitney's legacy than to cover a whole song. Same thoughts with Minnie, maybe a subtle sample like she did on "I Wish You Only Knew" with the Denise Williams "Silly". Glad this is just all speculation and fun.

DG, we can do it by either you or I, or both of us taking it forward. You want my email address to see if we can sort something out?

Well damn Lyric (40,690) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
Did you really have to go in like that? Out of all the positive discussions you jump at the opportunity to read Mimi. N,o her voice ain't the same, but she still has great moments that are just as good as the 90s IMO. So don't try to do my girl like she's over and her voice is done.

I've always been surprised by her never covering Minnie. I have been waiting for years to hear Mariah sing Loving You. Back Down Memory Lane is a good one as well. I'll have to look up the other song you named. I wonder if she never remade anything by Minnie or anyone else who used the whistle register because it's something that people kind of expected her to. Does that make sense? Lol.

Long over due (40,687) by RadChad from United States
The person Im really waiting for Mariah to cover is Minnie Riperton. If she covered Memory Lane, Here We Go, or even the risqué Inside My Love as a hidden bonus track treat, I'd be in heaven already. Come Mimi, what are you waiting for? Join in everybody, "Do it do it do it!" Lol. Chaka Khan would be another diva I would love to hear her cover. Everlasting Love, Your Smile, Please Pardon Me, would all suit her voice rather nicely.

Cover (40,685) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
So everyone seems to be excited about the Whitney cover. I can't really contribute to this, because I really have not listened to much of Whitney's work. But yes, it would be great if Mariah does a cover of Whitney's. I would like to know, if not Whitney, who else would you all like Mariah to cover? I'd love for another Michael Jackson cover (not necessarily of Jackson 5). MC and MJ are my ultimate favorite artists and I would love for her to cover a MJ song.

Well dang (40,683) by Licia from USA
We were having a nice adult discussion about what songs that she could possibly cover and it went straight to hell. We got along for a second. Lol.

Umm... (40,682) by Lyric from USA
Did someone just say that Mariah sounds the same way she did in 1990? Wow, you are entitled to that opinion but it makes you seem a bit delusional. Why does she lipsync if she was still capable of 1990 vocals? Why does her voice crack nowadays, and sounds so dry with her vibrato practically gone? Why did she start relying on whisper vocals, starting with the Charmbracelet album? Why does she have her vocals dubbed? I think it's time for people to face reality: her voice is miles from what it used to be.

Isaac Ortiz / Jab / I've been holding it (40,681) by Edward from USA
Isaac Ortiz, if you do really think that Mariah's voice sounds as good today as it did in the 90's, then you definitely and immediately need to run to the otolaryngologists because your hearing must be somewhat impaired. We all love Mariah here, and we all agree that Mariah can still pull a great performance when well rested and all, we also think Mariah can piecemeal great songs in the studio, but to even suggest that her voice hasn't changed is beyond rational. YouTube performances of "Without You" or "Hero" from the 90's, and then go see "Mariah Live in Morocco 2012 full Concert" and come again. Jab, we are discussing about Mariah covering "You Give Good Love" because we can and want to. If you just want to wait untill the album comes out, then hold your breath, but in the meantime we'll discuss as much as we want, rumors or not rumors. If you like the discussions, read it, if you don't like them, then just don't. We are just excited about the possibility, and having fun sharing ideas. Most fans have been very creative and positive about the possibility.

The art of letting go (40,679) by Isaac from USA
I'd be a lot happier if Mariah covered a Michael Jackson song. That would be a lot better than Whitney Houston. "Can you feel it" or "Shake your body (down to the ground)". But I'd want Mariah to release a single and have a hit by a song she or someone else produced. I like "Beautiful".
(Tuesday 21 January 2014; 2:37)
Whitney rumor (40,678) by Isaac from USA
Lol, lambs it's just a rumor, which I hope is true, because I have been waiting for years for a Whitney Houston cover. Or if she does do one, don't have it as a single, especially the first. I want a nice ballad, or an R&B track. Something up tempo. And I'd appreciate it if she did another 70's soul number like "I feel it".
(Tuesday 21 January 2014; 2:23)
Lamb from USA (40,677) by Isaac from USA
No, I don't. Mariah's voice sounds just as good today as it did back in 1990. And in her "Daydream" album, she sounded better. People say that she lacked with the whistling. And that's just ridiculous. Because you can't expect her to do it on every song or album. And they also criticize on her live performances. And that just pisses me off. The woman has been singing for over 23 years. Give her credict and a break. Songs like "Triumphant" and "Beautiful" show that Mariah still has her voice, and can sing. So I don't know what you mean.
