I hope Mariah never releases anything anymore (105,742) by Shezz from Pk
Also, can you imagine the self restraint it took from JD to hold back from his vocal interjections? He really wanted that song to be a masterpiece and for only Mariah to shine.

Ty Tribbett (105,741) by Bobby A from United States
I often wonder what a Ty Tribbett and Mariah Carey collaboration would sound like. I love his gospel song Only One Night Tho. He came up with this song on the spot during a concert. He's innovative and has millions of fans who sing his songs. I am going tweet them both this morning for a collaboration.

MC has to let him take control to do what he does best. I love the interview he gave to Entertainment Weekly how WBT came about. That is all she needs to have a hit album again.

Same. There's a reason why LA Reid is a successful record exec. ILT, SIO, and WBT are hawt. Radio hadn't been kind to MC for years since Rainbow. But when TOEM was released, radio had to play it (aka WBT.) That song is so good, radio was forced to play it. MC can strike gold again. Just put out good music and promote it.

Nanaimo. My aunt lives there, as does Mariah's gal pal Pamala Anderson. They feature a lot of her home there in her amazing documentary that she did a year or so ago. Also, it's home to the unbelievable desert "Nanaimo Bars", if you're a sweets lover, definitely try this treat if you get the chance.

Everyday I thank LA Reid for telling Mariah to go back and record with JD hahah after she had initially completed TEOM without ILT, WBT, SIO and GYN. WBT is the most perfect song, masterpiece that should be studied but would have been a mess if it was just whispers.

Rumor has it MC wanted to sing WBT with whisper vocals and JD insisted on full voice vocals. Can you imagine that song as a whisper track? Perish the thought. Yikes. MC is a masterpiece. But like all of us isn't perfect. Even the greatest basketball player, Michael Jordan, said all the shots he missed made him better. I mean, the guy was cut from his high school basketball team. I'll always advocate MC keep realists on her team, people not afraid to say no to Mariah. Shoot, Celine didn't want to sing My Heart Will Go On and ultimately gave in and did it. Good decision, don't ya think?

New album (105,732) by Bobby A from United States
Great post Jamie. After reading your post, I immediately thought of Sza and her ability to create these radio friendly songs that receive huge radio impressions despite Sza not having a great voice. Checkout Good Days, I Hate You, Shirt, Kill Bill and Snooze. If MC can create radio friendly songs with a nice beat without heaving belting and swooping runs, then she will do just fine with MC16. I am going to feel like a kid on Christmas day when I hit the play button on my new Mariah Carey album. At this point I don't care if I hear some vocal imperfections the new album. I just want an album that is fun and has quality music.

General public or bad decisions (105,731) by Stacey from USA
I've visited Vancouver. It's been a hot minute though, 1990, lol. It was beautiful. We visited Vancouver Island, stayed in a town called Nanaimo. Traveled over to the Canadian Rockies, visited Lake Louise, down to Calgary, and into Montana to see Glacier National Park. My dad loved to travel. Beautiful country.

I Don't (105,730) by Bobby A from United States
I see now. It does sound perfect on those parts. I remember that VOL performance. I felt so bad for MC when she sang it, but she pushed through a song she wrote in such a high key and with all of those runs 30 years ago. I was mistaken about ITC. She performed it on the Fashion Rocks primetime special in 2008.

Similarity between Big Energy Remix and yes, and? (105,728) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Haha thank you. I was thinking like ya if they don't have a budget for a music video at least these smaller fun videos could have fed the engagements. Also just giving some context to why they did they song would be nice because a lot of people were confused why Mariah on a song like this and not something like "Positions", "POV" and TUN. So much potential especially in this era of social media where people lose focus and move on from things so fast they should have done more to highlight the song. When I saw the whole them changing profile photos together, having physical CDs ready and the short video of them together I was like wow they'll go all in. Finally something solid haha only for them to drop it like it's hot.

New album (105,727) by Jamie from UK
I think she's just gonna have to go with it, I feel there's never a great time to release albums especially when you're up against all the latest trends. I think she should just release a great album and what will be will be. But we need a great promotion strategy, plenty of appearances, interviews and a lead song that's gonna grab the attention of radio. It's so much harder with the older artists to get the radio airplay that they need, but I'm hoping Mariah has a great album up her sleeve. I loved Caution, But we need some more uptempo tracks with a lighter carefree sound.

Problem with you is you want everyone to agree with what you think, but unfortunately they didn't, you lost this argument. Even the webmaster jumped in to say it.

I've seen that clip before, nobody ever wants to hear criticism but if you can accept it and learn from it then all the better. I'm not hating on her and being negative like some none fans are on twitter. I just think a bit of constructive criticism would be good at times with Mariah as I only want the best for her as do a lot of people on this forum hence why we're so passionate. If you think that your gonna come here and not hear fans give constructive criticism at times with something they choose not to like then your gonna be constantly disappointed. As a fan you're allowed to not like certain songs, it doesn't make you any less of a fan.

I Don't (105,725) by Xavier mariohmix from Spain
It's the usual playback: the most demanding parts. In "I Don't": the chorus "'Cause when you love someone, you just don't treat them bad..." and the final belting part. I mean, the parts sung perfectly well. She did a really good job on both occasions and her voice was in a really good condition at that time.

Another impressive performance was VOL at Jimmy Kimmel. By the way, I don't know which "I'm That Chick" performance you're referring to.

General public or bad decisions (105,723) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I love the west coast. Vancouver's nickname is Raincover because it rains a lot, but I live side the beautiful beaches and ocean, the mountains are only 20 mins away, palm trees the whole bit. It's gorgeous. I love Guelph though, it's a beautiful city, super old downtown lots to do, and so close to Toronto so tons of Broadway shows, sporting events and concerts just 45 mins away. My brother still lives in Guelph and loves it. Thanks for asking. Where about in the USA do you live T?

Biggest vs. smallest tours (105,722) by Bobby A from United States
What are your thoughts about MC's top 5 biggest and smallest tours? Which ones did you attend? Which tour do you wish you had attended? Are you attending one of her The Celebration of Mimi shows in April? Do you think MC is on the same level as Beyonce and Taylor Swift in terms of being able to sell out a huge stadium tour?

The Angels Advocate Tour was only one that I attended a show in Atlanta. I wish that I had attended one of the Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour shows. I saw some great videos of MC performing songs that she had never performed live before.

Top 5 Biggest Tours
1. Charmbraclet World Tour - 69 shows
2. The Adventures of Mimi - 40 shows
3. Caution World Tour - 35 shows
4. The Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour - 31 shows
5. The Angels Advocate Tour - 23 shows

Top 5 Smallest Tours
1. The Australian Tour - 3 shows
2. Music Box Tour/Daydream World Tour - tie - 7 shows each
3. Butterfly World Tour - 11 shows
4. Rainbow World Tour - 19 shows
5. The Elusive Chanteuse Show - 20 shows
