I'm sitting here watching TV and all of a sudden I hear Hero playing. It is for a trailer for Cabrini (I don't know if the movie is any good or not), but anyway, it's cool to see another Mariah song being used to promote a movie. We had Fantasy in Free Guy, ABMB in ABMM, and now Hero in Cabrini.

There is more hunger for new Mariah music than in the 2010s. Mariah is more popular now after AIWFCIY hit no.1 in 2019 and everyone rediscovering her catalog. I didn't think even Mariah herself expected it and that's why she's unprepared every year. She's going to have this problem every year, but in a way it's a good problem to have.

What? She has to be planning an album this year. Why would she say that she has 10 songs enough for an album last year? Or is MC really keeping the Lambs hanging on by string Loose Ends style? Where is Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to put some pressure on MC?

Mariah will headline two festivals this summer, she'll do Vegas in the spring and then a massive Christmas tour starting in November. That's the extent of it this year guys. That's all I can say.

I also don't think MC has lost her drive. I'm sure she's working on projects and keeping it private until she's ready to release them. After other acts stealing her ideas, music samples and all, I can't say that I blame her.

Personally I don't see a problem with Taylor doing what she is doing. 1. It's just business. 2. No one is forcing her fans to purchase those extra albums. 3. Please re read point #2, no one is holding a gun to her fans heads and making them buy the items. If they don't want the items, great don't buy them, if they do want the items to support Taylor, then cool buy the triple release deluxe version of a reissued album (lol, you get the point). I have adult female friends who are obsessed with Taylor swift, they say they have no problem spending their hard earned money on this stuff. Now when it comes to younger teens or kids who may be influenced to spend money on all this reissued Taylor albums, well if their parents are cool with it, great, but if they aren't, then they should do like my parents did for me when I was young, and told me, no, or find a way to save up to buy something. Basically what I'm saying is, Taylor isn't doing anything wrong. She found a way to continue to leverage her brand. It's just business, and no one is forcing anyone to continue to buy or support her stuff. If anything blame the fans. Shoot how many projects have Mariah done that fans bought in to, for her to then drop it like it never existed, at least Taylor sees her stuff through to fruition. Anyway enough about her, back to Mariah. Where's MC 16 at?

Taylor's fans are mostly young teens and college students who are very gullible. I just don't get the mania for her. She wouldn't have this mania frenzy if she had stayed in country music. Country music fans and radio pushed her out of the country music genre for her boring non-traditional country love songs. She didn't have a choice but to become a pop star. And we are paying dearly for her being so popular now.

100% a cash grab and draining her fans. I don't understand why people aren't sick of it yet but I saw a lot of comments under the multiple versions that fans are getting annoyed. She also does it to secure a solid sales volume. Which I'm like if your album is that great it should do it in 1 version.

It is annoying - the waiting and just being in the dark. Whatever she is doing, I hope it will be epic and and then some because I am sick of hearing Taylor and Beyonce everywhere and Mariah only during Christmas time. And I am sick and tired of being asked the question "We never hear anything from Mariah?" or "When did she release anything new?" It. Is. Exhausting.

The greatest interpolation in our lifetime will always be Bryson Tiller's Don't when he sang a liitle of Shake It Off during the 2nd verse. If you didn't know Shake It Off, then you would miss it every time. This is what MC needs to do for hit song. She needs a R&B slow jam with a 90s SWV or Total interpolation.

I gotta say that Taylor Swift releasing so many versions of an album is a total cash grab. To each heir own but I'm my opinion, it's disgusting that anyone would do that to their fans and take advantage of them like this. I can understand a deluxe version with new tracks but anything more than that is just unnecessary. I'm glad I'm not a fan because I work hard for my money and would not want to spend it like this. Don't even get me started on the recycling of entire albums. I know why she did it but I still don't like it. I don't have a rich mom and dad to pay for my 4 versions of the same album. With inflation and everything being so expensive, some can't afford to pay rent much less buy a house in this country. Just gross. Anyways, we love everyone.

While I can appreciate her desire to stay private and not post studio photos until things are close to ready, same could have been done about all the projects she said are going to release any moment in the last 2-3 years. In the last few years things we got from her were actually things she never even alluded to like Rarities, Latto and Ariana. Forgive my impatience haha I see so many releases being announced and none from Mariah.

I totally get your post but I don't think she lost her drive. We don't know what she does day to day. Just because she's not posting pics to the world in the studio etc. doesn't mean anything. Maybe she wants to keep this all private until she's close to being finished or actually finished like a lot of artists do.

If she would just give us some studio pics or an interview or a tweet, it would ease our minds about new music coming out this year. Also, she said in 2022 that she would be working with a young male singer. I believed that young male singer was Bryson Tiller. He said that he was trying to find the right song in early 2023. 2007 Mariah in the studio is not the same 2024 Mariah in the studio. It seems like she has lost her drive for one reason or another to get a body of work out to her Lambs. I miss the times when she would post on Twitter that she was headed back to N.Y. from Atlanta sequencing the album. We knew that the album was completed after that tweet.

The Khalid, Ariana and Latto ones are not really what she was talking about. She said she is collaborating with new artists and established legends on a supposed album of her own. TBL she has alluded multiple times is completed and she's looking for a streaming partner. She also mentioned a "duets" and "inspirational" album. Very recently she said she has 10 songs written so almost enough for an album. So in fact many a times she alluded to multiple projects being "almost ready" but we never heard about it later.

These things take time and when she said she's worked with younger producers or newer artists she has. Khalid, Latto and Ariana Grande are all newer artists she has delivered throughout the years. Guys, albums aren't in. They don't sell and have a shelf life of one week. It's not happening. The Butterfly Lounge, these new collections of songs, it's all her creating but it doesn't mean it's being packaged as an album in the traditional sense. Max Martin was the biggest surprise as it is the farthest sound Mariah is known for these days. But it was a fresh sound. Let's wait for the Christmas shows, I hear they are going international this year. I just don't want people spending their whole year waiting for a new album when it's clear that she isn't there. Vegas is being branded as a TEOM theme. Setting her up for a big Mimi anniversary next Spring. I do have a feeling she is holding SUD back to see if she's getting into the RRHOF.

Mariah had many pop moments. The original "Fantasy" is a perfect pop song. One of the best. "Heartbreaker" is also a pop song. "Almost home" is pure pop music. "Against all odds", I love her cover. "I want to know what love is". There are much more of course.

1A. I am working with a lot of young producers. 2021
1B. I am working on multiple projects. 2021

3. I am working on something the Lambily have been asking me for. 2022
4. I have about 10 songs completed with my writing partner. I said to him that I guess we are working on an album. 2023
