SAG awards / the album (40,630) by Licia from USA
Mariah and Nick looked really nice on the red carpet. Hearing that she is sequencing the album is great news. I cannot wait to hear what she has in store.

Re: UK lambs (40,629) by Musti from UK
I have never met another lamb in the UK. Actually I never met anyone in the UK who is remotely into Mariah lol. Everytime I mention her name people look at me like I'm crazy. Then I tell them I'm really into singers with big voices. That seems to shut them up!

Album sequencing (40,628) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
We are finally getting somewhere with this new era now that MC is sequencing the new album. Now I am ever so excited to hear the finished product.

Voting for Almost Home (40,627) by Manny from U.S.
Is anyone voting for Almost Home for the Coldwell Banker contest? I'm just curious. I've been voting throughout the day. You can vote as many times as you want. I jus feel Almost Home was underrated and it deserves done recognition. Someone posted the link today. I am not sure how to post it.

Re. James (Twiggy) (40,626) by Joe from United Kingdom
I get exactly what you mean. In my life I've only come across probably two people who said they were fans. People used to tell me I was a big fan of Mariah before I even knew I was myself. Then as I got older I kinda just embraced it and now I consider myself a hardcore lamb. When I tell people I like her it's usually met with eye roll's or a negative response. It might be her media image over here, I don't know. I think this is a good place though to talk and socialize with fellow lambs from the UK and across the globe. I hope you enjoy it here.

Hi James (Twiggy) (40,625) by Andrew from UK
Hi James, fellow UK lamb here. Don't worry, you're not alone. I know what you mean though, sometimes feels like she hasn't got many UK fans but we are here! This message board is a great place to meet fellow lambs. I've been a fan since 1996 when I was lucky enough to see her Daydream concert at Wembley, and I haven't looked back. Welcome to the wonderful world of MCA.

UK lambs (40,624) by James (Twiggy) from United Kingdom
Sorry it's a bit off the "what the hell is Mariah up to?" topics trending atm, but just a quick shout out to my fellow UK lambs. Hey to the lambs from around the globe too. It's just so hard to find fellow lambs here in the UK. Mariah just doesn't seem to get much love over here lately. People often find it funny that I'm such a Mariah fan. I'm just wondering what are the experiences of other lambs from the UK? Have you met any other hardcore British lambs?

Collabo (40,623) by Austin from USA
Do you think the new collaboration could be with Mary J Blige? I know they did a duet remix for It's A Wrap that was never released. I would die to hear that song. I'm very sorry the Angels Advocate album was shelved. The Jump Smokers remix album was so good.

Like if you've had enough of this stupid debate about what Mariah posted on Twitter.

Collabo's (40,621) by Elena from The Netherlands
Personally I'm really looking forward to hear the R.Kelly collabo. I really enjoyed R.Kelly's take on TMB and wished it was an official remix. I hope they did something similar to Betcha Gon Know because it was a killer song and such a strong opener for Memoirs. Unfortunately I found most of the tracks on Memoirs to be weak after that one. I really loved E=MC2 and I've always hoped she would've released Cruise Control as a summer jam single (I'll Be Loving You Long Time was also a very good choice). The collabo with Damian Marley was brilliant! I hope it's not Usher in this surprise collabo, nor Justin, but I'm really breaking my head over who she could talk about. Nas has been mentioned already, so maybe Jay Z? Bone Thugs? Twista? T-Pain? (She loves Migrate so much.) Neptunes? Snoop?

Edward and Jamie (40,620) by Sasha from Nomansland
Edward, I couldn't agree more with what you said. Jamie it's a good idea, let's vote for Almost Home. I think it's a shame this song didn't become a hit, I personally love it.

New game (40,619) by R&B Junkie from Poland
First of all, I wasn't disappointed at all by that Monday announcement, because in my past, I used to do many great (yes, they were great) things for some local charity organization. Second of all, everyone here should vote for Almost Home, it's such a chance we cannot miss out! If anyone here is sick of waiting for new Mariah release, the new game is appropriate. A real music lover has their horizon as wide as it's possible, so here is my proposition for you lambs: Aaradhna's "Can We Go Back" brings the old school Motown soul back, but in clearly different way. There are also two songs from Poland that should become international hits. First is Cleo's "My Slowianie" (English: Us Slaves] that delivers local folklore, second is Mezo's "Jak nie my to kto" that has a freaking crazy traditional R&B feel. Both are great party songs. Love from Poland.

This is not Twitter / Eric / new game (40,618) by Edward from USA
Nobody has disrespected Mariah here on MCArchives messageboard pertaining Monday's announcement. Many of us expressed disappointment for the announcement wasn't music related, and because we had to wait all day long to hear about it. Nobody insulted Mariah like they did on Twitter. Having an opinion is one thing, but telling other fans how to feel, what to write, what kind of an opinion to have is plain ridiculous. Eric has been very fair here, and one of the most dedicated fans I know to keep this site running for 16 years. Sometimes I fear he will move on to other things and shut it down. To tell him how to manage his website or how to voice his opinion is beyond ridiculous, especially when he hasn't disrespected anybody. So let's play a new game: if you could name Mariah's fingers and toes nails, what would you guys call them, and what color would you paint them? Be creative, maybe we finish by the time the new single comes out next month.

New collaboration (40,617) by Musti from UK
I can't wait to find out more about this. It can be Usher indeed. It can also be Justin Timberlake whom Mariah worked with for a remix of Yours which was never released.

Almost Home to be used in commercial (40,616) by Jamie from UK
If you want the glorious and underrated song "Almost Home" to be featured in a commercial, vote here. Spread the word, get everyone voting! At the moment she's at 2nd place with 19,000+ votes.

Fairweather friends (40,615) by Alex from England
Those words were obviously used as a reference to her song I Only Wanted and only directed at fans who actually go as far as insulting Mariah and calling her names. I don't mind that people have different opinions or that they were disappointed but insulting someone just because they're not giving you what you expect is plain childish and disrespectful. I called those so-called fans fairweather friends because the minute she'll release a song that goes up the charts they'll be like "it was soworth the wait" and that is the kind of attitude that I can't stand. I don't agree with everything Mariah has ever done or said but at the end of the day I am aware she is a human being and I would never insult her for disappointing me. I hope I cleared up the air about my previous post and I didn't mean to attack all fans who have a different opinion. Just R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

Usher (40,614) by Rashidi Rahim Rick from Malaysia
My bet is on Usher. Maybe Mariah and Usher could remix How Much and release it. The song is timeless, the melodies are catchy enough for a radio hit, especially when Mariah sings "just me and my boyfriend" and also "that's how much I love you" by Usher. I'm listening to that song now.

New game (40,613) by 123 from USA
Thank you Clueey23 for the new game suggestion. I have a suggestion myself while we are waiting for new MC music. I'm always interested in hearing new good music. How about we all post songs/artists that we are listening to. Then select another individual's list to listen to and if you like it, respond as to why you liked it. With so many fans from around the world, we are bound to hear some new interesting songs we may have never had a chance to get exposed to. Here are some of my recommendations:
Snoh Aalegra - Burning Bridges
Chrisette Michele - Charades
Lianne La Havas - Lost and Found
Jojo - Thinking Out Loud, Can't Handle The Truth, Take the Canyon
Maxwell - Fist Full of Tears, Bad Habits
Miguel - Gravity
Teedra Moses - Special, No More Tears
Verse Simmonds - I Wanna See You
Hal Linton - Mind Control
K'Jon - On The Ocean
Blu Cantrell - Sleep in the Middle
Toni Braxton - Clockwork
Frank Ocean - We All Try, Thinking Bout You, Pink Matter
Dawn Richard - Vibrate
Erykah Badu -Gone Baby Don't Be Long
More to come, just some of my favs in my iPod.

Mariah / Isaac / Webmaster (40,612) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Lol wow Isaac went from being polite, starting/ending posts with thanks to a full blown "fair weather fan" basher. Seriously though, what is the problem if people talk about their disappointment? Mariah is human, she isn't perfect, she can make mistakes, so I don't see why fans are attacked if they dare say anything apart from sugar coated stuff. Jeez! And also I don't really get the whole "Without You was a remake not an MC song". The webmaster just said he's been a fan since Without You, a song for which a lot of people became Mariah fan. Remake or not what does it matter? Moving on, webmaster, thank you for this amazing site, this is the first board I ever wrote in. It's fun to interact with other MC fans (except some bleak ones, but that's okay). A lot of people are not really familiar with Mariah here in my country and most people my age are into other newer artists, so I really don't get to discuss MC with them as much as I would like (although I do force some of my friends to listen to her stuff, but obviously they don't know much). So yes , thanks and I love that you are fair with stuff you post, good or bad. Lastly can someone please tell me where you all got the quote of Mariah saying she will be releasing something with an artist she previously worked with? I missed that one! Thank you.

Single strategy (40,611) by 123 from USA
In regards to single strategy, I believe that MC should make sure she has a weekly event/promotional opportunity for the first six to eight weeks that the single is released. What I noticed with Beautiful is that each time she performed the song, released the video, the song would launch back up the iTunes chart. She could follow a similar method that Miley Cyrus did with her Wrecking Ball video which helped her earn a number one. Since video streams count towards chart position, she could release the song and video simultaneously to launch the song and then have a performance each week via late night shows or even a internet streamed mini live acoustic concert with a few fans a la Jimmy Fallon to showcase her vocals. If she could somehow make the performance of the single a YouTube video that stream on Facebook it could really rocket the song in conjunction with the single release.

Sick of us? (40,610) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
No shade Webmaster from Netherlands, but I don't think you should ever go off on someone that supports your website, or use words such as "sick of" in reference to them, unless they're a troll in which you would be able to regulate their activity. Even though my perspective is that you should, for the most part, be an unbiased mediator, I understand that you want to express your thoughts as well. I just believe as webmaster we don't expect you to criticize or jump on us because of a difference in opinion, that's all. I love you though.

Mariah and R Kelly (40,609) by Ryan from Canada
A duet with R Kelly makes me drool. They will sound so awesome together. I also think Bruno Mars and Mariah would have killer vocals together. I have to admit the "pip" announcement was disappointing to me at first too. I was expecting something totally different than what she have us. My disappointment did not last long because I understood right away that it would be a big deal to her to give something up that was so treasured by her. I have to admit that sometimes the way lambs act embarrasses me. We should all be greatfull that she is giving up a piece of her history to help raise funds for a charity. When you think about it it truly is super pip!

Real vs fairweather (40,608) by Lamb_O_Chop from Australia
Okay guys and gals, lets clear one thing up. Just because some lambs stop posting on here or visiting this particular message board does not mean that they are or ever were a "fair-weather fan". Being a dedicated loyal fan has nothing to do with posting here. Have some of you ever stopped to think perhaps they've stopped visiting or posting because of the bad energy or negativity some of you give off? To be fair, everyone should be allowed to voice their opinion on here across the board whether good bad or indifferent, but sometimes people are overly critical and they appear to just come on here to rant. Understand that not everybody wants to constantly come here just to see you complain about Mariah. Believe it or not everyone is a critic, even the most "obsessed" lambs may not love every single thing Mariah had ever done, but they express that in a respectful way from time to time. Don't think just because you're overtly vocally critical about every move she makes, that you are more of a "realistic" real fan. We all want Mariah at her best.

TJ / Real fairweather fans / MCArchives (40,606) by Edward from USA
TJ, you're so right about that. There have been many debates and arguments here in the 16 years MCArchives has been online. Most of those who used to come here calling other fans "fair weather fans, so called fans, no real fans" are the ones who have dropped off like flies through the years. I've expressed lots of love and support for Mariah, but I also have critiqued her or expressed disappointment at some point without being disrespectful. MCArchives used to be part of 3 major Mariah websites called Mariah's 3, and out of all of them, only this one stands as true and unbiased. One of them was shut down by its webmaster out of anger for Mariah didn't include his country on the Rainbow Tour, and the other one has become very boring and rarely updates anything, since Mariah's team got involved in it. Everything they post has to be confirmed by Mariah's team, and by the time they post anything, everybody knows it, like a clone of MariahCarey.com. I love MCArchives because Eric is real and posts everything Mariah, not only the sweet news. MCA messageboard is fabulous.
