Isaac Ortiz and Webmaster (40,605) by Carlos Jaramillo from USA
Isaac Ortiz, I hate when people speak from ignorance, which I clearly did earlier, and for that I apologize. P.S. I couldn't write anything boring, even if I tried. Webmaster: You can say whatever you want, lol I'll never rebuttal you.

Re: To all the lambs (40,604) by TJ from Norway
I've been a fan since 1990, and I don't think I'm less of a fan, just because I don't agree with everything she does. I've been visiting MCA since the beginning and I have seen a lot of fans come and go. To me it seems like the the fans who (over the top) worship her the most are the one that disappears as time goes by. I've (and a couple of others, including the webmaster) been faithful for decades.

All the dramatics (40,603) by Joe from United Kingdom
No offence to anybody, but I only started posting messages here like half a year ago, but I've been visiting the message board abit longer. It seems things have changed alot in the last few months. There have always been heavy/heated debates, but now it's just like catty remarks towards eachother back and forth for no reason. I'm not some hippy looking for peace, but we are all Mariah fans. If we were not, would we be here making a statement of our own opinions? Some people make criticism, some people don't. It's really not a big deal.

My money is on R.Kelly (40,601) by nikki from usa
They've worked together a few times, but nothing was ever released. We know she worked with him on this album and sounds like it's going to be a big ballad which would be fitting for V. Day. I hope to God she never does anything more with Justin Timberlake - his label refused to release the duet version of Yours because they "didn't think it would be good for his career". Then, she got big with TEOM and all of a sudden Justin and his label thought it would be a good idea to release Yours. Thank goodness Mariah refused. R. Kelly did a remix with MC for TMB that wasn't ever officially released and there's Betcha Gon' Know. If it is their duet then it's going to be a real release and we'll all know for sure because critics are going to hear it, rate it, and buzz it before anyone else gets to. Then, the label announces a radio release date before a drop date. If all we get is a drop date then it will be another straight to Itunes release. But, I got a feeling this is going to be a big deal and I see another top 10 hit in the making.

Valentine's (40,600) by Trish from USA
I hope the single released on Valentine's Day is a love song.

Collaberation (40,599) by lil star from untied states
So I'm thinking it really could be Justin Timberlake, or Timberland. I remember she worked with Timbaland on "Skydiving" and Justin was due to be on "The One", but there labels didn't work it out. Or Usher who was on "How Much" for Rainbow (always thought that should have been a single). Those would all be great though I think Mariah and Justin would be the best one. Now if it's not that then it could be Twista or Damian Marley who are on songs on her albums that weren't used as singles, but I don't think the fans care much for more callabos with them.

Carlos Jaramillo (40,598) by Isaac from USA
Not only was your comment long and boring, you got me mistaken for "The webmaster" from The Netherlands, lol. He's the one who posted about being a Mariah fan for 20 years. Get "your" facts straight.

Webmaster from The Netherlands (40,597) by Isaac from USA
I don't care how long you've been a Mariah fan. Or if I offended you or anyone else. I stated how I felt and gave my opinion. It was the truth. The so called "announcement" was days ago. And people are still rambling on about how disappointed or upset they are. Who cares? Get over it, and move on. Comment about the new album, or something else. Also, the "Without you" song is a remake. Not Mariah's.

I have to correct you one little but very important detail. Isaac never said that about Emotions, but the Webmaster replying to Isaac in his message.

Collab (40,595) by Ashley from United Kingdom
"There's a collaboration that's happening as we speak, and I'm very excited about it," she shared. "We've collaborated before, but it wasn't released as a single. I don't want to give it away 'cause the true fans will know." Could this be Justin Timberlake?

Edward (40,594) by Licia from USA
Maybe it's an interlude? It sounds really interludish to me, but it would be interesting to hear it as a full song though.

Edward (40,593) by Will from England
I can't remember which interview she said it in, but she said she didn't want any snippets of the song to be released. So it makes sense that the music in the snippet video would be different to the actual song. And yeah, I was very confused when I first heard the song, because (as I'm sure most fans were expecting) to hear what was in the video.

Alex from England and Isaac Ortiz / USA (40,592) by Carlos Jaramillo from USA
Isaac, how dare we call you a "so called fan"? Lets start by the fact that you couldn't have heard "Without You" by MC 21 years ago, because it hadn't been released. If you're going to defend your "fanaticism", get your facts strait. Alex, amazing. Eough said. This happens to us Americans as a whole. We are shady. The majority are "fair weather friends" and those that are offended by that comment, it's because it probably most supposed to be directed at you. Yeah Mariah has all the money in the world and giving away a "tiny" (by her standards) diamond neckless is equivalent to us dropping a few quarters in a homeless person's hand at an intersection while we wait for the light to turn green. Why do we even go there? Because we are greedy, self absorbed and lack realism. The real MC fans, from actual 21 or so years back, know that Mariah is a person of sentiment, emotion, almost feeble in her social dealings with a lack luster impression of whom she really is on this earth. Things, possessions, dates and scenarios that are close to her or represent significant passages in her life are "priceless". She is giving us the opportunity to attain something of hers that is as close and personal as any of us can ever or will ever get to the incomparable MC. It's shocking and disgusting how people proclaim their love her in one line, only do dissemble her morbidly in the next. Alex, your concise comment is perfect. It could sit on this message board all on its own. Thank you.

The Art of Letting Go snippet not a snippet (40,591) by Edward from USA
By listening to the snippet of "The Art of Letting Go" before it was released, I would hear a totally different song in terms of instrumentation, and some incredible whistle notes I didn't hear on the song. For a moment I thought Mariah was going to pull a Buble of us. Then "The Art of Letting Go" was released, and to me it didn't sound anything like the snippet. So I wonder, was what we heard on the snippet a completely different song? She said she had written two songs with Dark Child, so I hope it is. I do believe that at this point Mariah must be working on finishing her collaboration with Nas, since she said last year that their collabo was nowhere near finished. I hope we have many left over songs once the album is released. I think that when she went back to the drawing board many new songs were incorporated, and many other songs left out. We will be happy to hear them.

disrespect (40,590) by clueey23 from USA
It's so easy for people to talk crazy over the Internet. They wouldn't even have the breath to say some of the things to MCs face. Because seeing MC in person, she is absolutley breath takingly beautiful. Television and pictures rarely do her justice. Also, some folks just have nothing else to do but talk bad about others. It's sad how negative people can be. Instead of focusing on the charity, they focus on anything else. But I honestly, I do wish she didn't make us wait all that time. Especially when she tweeted, "one moment darlings", I thought we would have gotten a date for the album due in the spring. But whatever, I still think the diamonds and ruby heart necklace is an awesome gift for a true lamb. Because she could've easily handed that necklace down to her daughter, Roe.

Fans (40,588) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I was disappointed too, because admit it or not most of us thought it was music related. The whole "taking 3 days to announce" suggested it was music related, but well we were wrong. I think someone wrote that Mariah would never call anything music related a "pip announcement". That's wrong, she always calls things she loves/is excited about "pip" and "pow". I can relate to the fans who were disappointed, but I agree that calling her names and insulting her just because she did not announce anything related to the album is a bit too much. It's fine to be disappointed. But from what I hear, fans on FB and twitter are saying bad things about her, and that's kinda over reacting. Regarding other cases where fans attack people who points out Mariah's mistakes, I will have to say that people shouldn't call critical fans "fair weather fans", we love MC as much if not more than you, but unlike people or should I go ahead and say "fanatics" (?), we choose to let Mariah know where she went wrong instead of drowning her with praises and defending something when it was indeed a wrong move. Just so it's clear, the last part wasn't about the announcement, it is about general cases. I am supportive of MC's charity work.

Lovers and haters (40,586) by Carol from Spain
Lately you all just criticize Mariah. How do you want us to all you? Supportive and understanding? One thing is to deslike something, another thing is to attack every single stuff. So yes I agree we are the ones who call you untrue fans. Sorry but not sorry. You should be appreciative, not heavy crítical.

It's ok to be disappointed (40,585) by Licia from USA
I was disappointed myself and I can agree that maybe she went about announcing what was really happening the wrong way, but some fans took it to another level though. All the disrespectful stuff was just wrong .Mariah's next pip announcement should be "eff ya'll I'm done". After all that I certainly would give the fans a real reason to be disrespectful.

Kind off speechless Webmaster / stating my own opinion (40,584) by Sunshine Divalamb from Germany
Everybody has an opinion; this messageboard is there to do just that. I have seen it a thousand times myself that I'm like what? Serious? Did they really write that? But then I think okay everybody is entitled to write how they see things. As a webmaster however it's important to stay professional, meaning responding in a certain way and seeing you go off like that shows the opposite tbh. You don't have to agree, but to respond like that gives a bad aftertaste. I myself am a lamb since day 1 that means 23+ years. I haven’t always agreed on everything Mariah did, nor am I delusional when it comes to her. But it’s something different how people voice this on Twitter, Facebook etc. I wasn’t offended by Isaac his post, because for me it’s directed at the Lambs/fans that overdo it.

To all the lambs (40,579) by Isaac Ortiz from USA (40,583) by Webmaster Eric from the Netherlands
How dare you to call me a "so called Mariah fan", just because I was disappointed. I've been a Mariah fan for 20 years, since I heard the single "Without you" (although the first single I bought was "Hero"). And I have this website for 16 years now. And I do have a life, thank you. I'm sick of "obsessed" fans who call the more critical fans not real fans, or fairweather fans.

Fans' reaction (40,582) by Alex from England
I am just ashamed of some of the fans. Really? I feel so sorry for Mariah. I can imagine her thinking of that great self-less idea to donate something so personal and then reading the reactions of some fans. She must have been heartbroken. I hope she knows by now some people are just "fairweather friends" and we, true polite lambs who respect her as an artist but also as a woman with feelings, will stick by her. Of course, I can't wait for new music but honestly, that gesture of hers should have reminded how much of a great person she is instead of being called names. It just goes to show what kind of world we live in. Rant over.

Announcement on Twitter (40,581) by Ms. Giselle from USA
Splash lol. What's up with the waiting all weekend to post that? Then some fans stayed up all night and morning In some parts just to read that big ''pip announcement''. I can't even know what to say anymore.

Martyn (40,580) by Isaac from USA
The official single will be released on February14. Yes, but I have no idea if Mariah will do a promo. But who knows? All things are possible. And Mariah's capable of anything. I personally think that a promo would be a good idea. Since everyone is anxious and excited as it is. But just releasing it is fine too. I mean, she already told us when it's going to be released. So to me, that's more than enough. But I do hope the song is good. I'm not expecting "great", just "good". "Beautiful" is great though. So who knows? We all just have to wait and be patient. But I do want the album to be promoted. I really want it to be successful. And want her to add another number one to her name. It's time already. I'm just having faith and am believing in my artist that this new album is going to be good.

Everyone needs to chill and get over the announcement. I wasn't expecting anything big. Nor music related. I can't believe so called Mariah fans are upset or disappointed. And to the others who are being disrespectful. Shame on you. You need to get off Mariah's back and get a life. Just wait untill the single premiers. And when the album is released.
