Edward- Bill is still number #1 in my book and you too. You are our well grounded and most objective member and Bill is our MCA's chart guru. Jamie asks some great questions and keeps the topics going and Terna gives some great commentary about MC's vocal decline and he laughed at me calling Special K "sugar plum". I am just having fun on here and laughing at Andy's jabs at me now. We are a family and we got to have fun on here. Edward, what are you doing for New Years Eve?

All I Want For Christmas Is You featuring Justin Bieberlake is brilliant. We shall have none of your tomfoolery, Sir.

I am so very sorry to hear that. If you would care to share, I am certain you would be in good company and receive much empathy and sympathy. There is only joy in anything because it reminds us of the sadness within the absence of it. That is to say: better to have loved and lost, etc. Better to have courage to see the positives, than resolve yourself to darkness.

It reminds me of a poem I wrote *cough* (of which Randy likes the title... but interestingly not the actual poem):

ALL THE AVAILABLE LIGHT

I remember when striken the thunderbolt
that it's stormier still in the night -
and though flashes of brilliance are fleeting,
to paint all the available light.

It is not how dim-lit the Universe
nor now woeful the world in your sight -
if the canvas requires your bravery,
so your conscience requires the fight.

Robert, it's evident you're drooling over Andrew. You had already professed your love for Bill. You probably made him take down his pic here and now this. cybercheating is not cool.

Lol. I was afraid I was doing that. Point made clearly. I will hold off on my reasons why Merry Christmas II You should not have had that piece together AIWFCIY duet with Justin Beiber. But, tell me why do you respond to multiple people posts all in one chuck of a time on the computer? We see your handsome face like six times in a row sometimes.

I lost that feeling in 2012 (tragic death in family). Since then, I am struggling.

Here in Norway where Santa is defrosting as we speak, one of the most popular Christmas songs is a ballad. Check out Home for Christmas by Maria Mena.

Ah okay. I thought you meant that there was actual figures suggesting such a thing. But I get it. However, isn't romancing an idea one of the great things about Christmas? Is it not the one time when you wish for your perfect and believe it will come? Christmas is about *possibility*.

Miss You Most wasn't an official single. It was issued for radio play only to promote the album. AIWFCIY went to pop stations, Miss You Most to AC stations, Joy to the World (and its remixes) to the club stations, and Jesus Born On This Day to the Christian stations. None were released as actual physical singles in the US at the time. JTTW was then given a single release in Australia the following year, and O Holy Night a US promotional release the year after that. AIWFCIY however was released across the rest of the world as a single in 1994, and, well, we all know how that panned out don't we.

Halloween is in two weeks. What is MC going to do this year to top last year's "it's time" video? I suspect this year Roc and Roe will be involved in the video. By the way, the 2019 Merry Christmas Anniversary Edition was released on November 1st, 2019. It will be 4 years old this year. I am ready for the festive season to begin.

Miss You Most (At Christmas Time) (103,808) by Bobby A from United States
I did some research. Although it was released as the 2nd single and a video was made, Miss You Most failed to chart. I did notice an increase of plays in retail stores in 2019 and 2020, but radio won't consider playing it. It is such beautiful song that I don't mind its sadness.

From every day life, especially around that time. I always play festive music so I don't have to think about loneliness and being sad in that period.

It's clearly a corset to suck everything in up top and a dress to hide everything down below. And quite a bit of airbrush weight-loss. But it's a nice photograph.

I just don't see the point in it. It's an ok dress but I've seen better. I prefer Mariah covered up. But it's just not very modern I think it would be better as a Christmas tree skirt.

Because 70% of people are even more sad, lonely and suicidal around that time of year and trust me, no one wants to hear sad ballads those days.

The Star (103,800) by Bobby A from United States
I just pulled out another gem released 5 years ago. 1993 MC would have let loose on The Star. I hope more Marc Shaiman collaborations will happen. This collaboration really captured the essence of MC's unique melody with his own musical brilliance. By the way, something special is happening about Caution in November. Can you believe it has been 5 years since its release? I have something special planned for Cautuon on November 16th. Stay tuned in 4 weeks.

Miss You Most (At Christmas Time) (103,798) by Bobby A from United States
I just thought about this song today. Why are Christmas ballads not as popular as up tempo songs during the Christmas season? Every song released and makes it unto the charts is up tempo or mid tempo. You would think with the right promotion and airplay, Miss You Most could easily be a top 10 hit each year.
