AIWFCIS (98,851) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Its chances of hitting number #1 again this year is going to be difficult because of Adele and Post Malone's and The Weekend's One Right Now.

Re: FILAC (98,849) (98,850) by Stacey from USA
I felt the same. Two different songs spliced together. But overall it's a lovely song. It's different from your typical Christmas song. I get the opinion of some who say it doesn't feel like a Christmas song. But I think that's exactly why I like it. I can listen to AIWFCIY, classic songs from Bing Crosby and Andy Williams, and then switch to FILAC. It's a beautiful song. The fa-la-la-fall in love bridge is genius.

Re: FILAC (98,843) (98,849) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Yes, the first part of the song reminds me of "My All", "After Tonight" too. I enjoy that part after the first listen, but I think at 3:35 minutes it sounds like another song, that's a bit strange. A pop Christmas song and gospel at the end doesn't fit well together. A Christmas song for the radio/streaming and a gospel song for the fans would fit better. But I'm happy to hear something new.

Fall In Love at Christmas (98,848) by Kenny from Canada
Love, love, love. I was already a fan of Khalid and was super excited for this collab. Loved how their voices blend together and the gospel outro at the end was everything.

Re: Daniel Moore III (98,846) (98,847) by T from USA
I'm with you. So far I don't think Daniel has the x-factor. Competent musician but no hit factor. I would have liked to hear her version of Where Are You Christmas this season. Oh well. It's too bad she cannot reconnected with Walter A. Even just for Christmas time.

Daniel Moore III (98,846) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I am just not feeling all of these collaborations with Daniel. Hopefully he didn't have anything to do with the The Clark Sisters and Brandy collaborations.

Latin inspired Christmas song? (98,845) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I don't feel this song at all, doesn't have a Christmas feel to it, actually it's one of the few Mariah tunes I really dislike.

The Butterfly Lounge / Fall in Love (98,844) by Nicky from Jasmine's Sofa
I am so excited for this new Butterfly Lounge project. I am almost sure that's the name of this new Christmas album/project. Mariah mentioned a lounge during her Twitter Spaces chat when discussing her upcoming collabs including Brandy. I have a feeling she has so much in store for this concept, lots of duets and a whole new vision for a holiday album. This is going to be something so special, I love that the vibe is more adult contemporary. It doesn't sound like holiday music, but it has the warmness and captures the type of love felt around this time of year. This first offering from it is a masterpiece.

I watched the video several times in a row and I was brought to tears. The music is just beautiful, the vocals are drenched in nostalgia and longing. This is an instant classic in my opinion. It doesn't sound like a Christmas song, it actually sounds like something you want to hear around Thanksgiving. This is a song for the first frost, for driving home to see family and friends, for the very beginnings of sweater weather and sipping Black Irish.

This song is the musical equivalent of soul food. It makes me feel warm inside and it has me wanting more and more. Thank you Mariah, this is absolutely beautiful.

FILAC (98,843) by T from USA
It sounds [like] a Christmas song Mariah would have made after Butterfly in 1997. It doesn't totally sound Christmasy. I wonder if this was just a love song for her upcoming album that she loved so much she decided to give it the Christmas treatment by changing some words to fit the festive theme? Would make sense as her Christmas stuff will get more attention than anything else these days. Especially if she really wanted the world to hear it instead of it getting lost on a non holiday album down the line. I like the video but it's funny how her most comfortable looking scenes are the ones with her in the recording booth. That always has been her most comfortable place in life.

Fall in Love at Christmas (98,842) by Webmaster Eric from the Netherlands
Here in Europe, all the attention goes to the release of the new album Voyage by ABBA. And that album is just magnificent. You can listen to the complet album here. I think the best song on that album is "Keep an eye on Dan".

Fall in Love at Christmas (98,841) by Terna from Nigeria
Just listened to the new song and watched the video but I'm not gonna give my opinion on it just yet because honestly, I'm not feeling this one at all.

Fall In Love at Christmas (98,837) by Stacey from USA
Love the vibe of this song. The arrangement is so amazing. I get a My All/After Tonight vibe. My only question is at the 3:36 mark. Seems like one song ends and another begins. I might just download the song and separate the two. Haha. I listened to a bit of AIWFCIY today. Let the Christmas season begin.

She really needs to go ahead and add a full song/revamped lyric version of Christmas In New York in the AppleTV special.

Fall In Love At Christmas (98,835) by cBerr from Canada
I haven't been around here for a while due to my disappointment with what I feel were big omissions to the MC30 releases, but this new holiday track actually has me excited for studio album #16.

Her voice is the healthiest it's been in a while and she was right in her recent social media posts - you need to hear the "outro"! This 3-track EP is a nice treat.

Chicago Jersey (98,832) by SM from Citizen of the World
I’m confused at the Chicago Jersey Mariah is seen wearing in the new Christmas video clip she posted. I know it looks like studio captures but still. Lol.

Mariah's videos (98,831) by Lee from UK
Here is my issue with almost all of Mariah's music videos. They are mostly recorded using double speed play back so that when it's slowed down to regular speed, the video looks like it's in slow motion but is actually in time with the track. I remember Mariah talking about this during the making of the Heartbreaker video and she has used this technique on most videos since. It is most noticeable when Mariah is singing along to runs and riffs as it never quite looks right.

Can you ask her if she will consider Dallas Austin and Walter Afanasieff? Also Drake as a feature. Would love it.

Re: Facebook post of "The Distance" lyric video (98,827) (98,829) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I guess I am MC's naughty list now for asking questions. Lol. However, she does listen to my collaboration tweets. I tweeted this year that she and Kirk Franklin should collaborate. And look what we have coming this Friday. Now if I can get her to work with Eric Roberson, Kenny Lattimore, Drakkar Wesley, and Madicin. Those four songwriters are about to give Kenny Lattimore his best album to date. I am sure they can do the same for MC.

Facebook post of "The Distance" lyric video (98,827) by Mara from United States
OK, I'm going out on a limb here but we just mentioned Tanaka and wondered where he has been and randomly Mariah posted a lyric video to "The Distance" off Caution that was written about Tanaka. OK MC very out of the blue but so you. If you are trying to send us a message that all is well with Tanaka, message received, lol. That makes me happy. I think Mariah and Brian make a nice couple and he seems to have a great connection to Roc and Roe. I will never forget how he was there for her during that nightmare time and protected her on the remainder of the Lionel Ritchie tour away from Stealella. It was wonderful seeing just Brian and the kids in her entourage during the final leg of that tour while the snake was in LA and then the official word was out that she was no longer with her. Who knows, maybe I'm just reading too much into it, but her or her people have been known to visit this message board in the past. Anyhow, love you MC. Wish we had some Beacon shows but hopefully next year. Cannot wait for Fall In Love At Christmas to be released and to hear the ending, along with the new special. Maybe her next original Christmas song can be "Christmas In New York" which will forever be a moment I won't forget-witnessing her create such a beautiful improv song live on stage at the Beacon.
