But I already saw her Christmas show at the Beacon Theater during its second year in 2015, which may have been the best year for it voice wise. Also, ticket prices have become ridiculous post-COVID, so that turns me off and makes me tired of playing that game. Lastly, based on the most recent videos, I'm not sure if it's even worth it. With that said, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the Christmas special that aired last year, so maybe she'll pull some miracle and it'll sound good. So, yes, I'm also torn. If she continues down this path of poor performances, YouTube viewers and music critics are not going to be nice anymore. She should stop performing live until her vocal issues are resolved. I would rather have The Rarities release #2-5 for the next 5 years than for MC to continue performing live and sounding a hot mess. I just wish Kuk Harrell or Mervyn Warren or Donald Lawrence were around in the 90s as her vocal coach producing her vocals. They would have told her no to the way she sung in that breathiness tone from 1995-1999 and to stop the whistle notes. If only Tommy made MC have a vocal coach during those early years, we might not be cringing in our seats now with every live performance. (Tuesday 17 October 2023; 01:04)

Is anyone else torn on whether or not to go see Mariah in this upcoming run of shows? On the one hand, I want to see her because I've been a lamb for 25 years. With so many stars dying, there is always a scary thought of what if this is your last chance in the back on my head. On the other hand, her performances are just awful and maddening these days. Those shows last year had me so upset and sad for her. I also hate how she waits until October to publicize the shows. Why not tell us in July or August so that people can get their coins and travel set ahead of time? It's inconsiderate considering that the shows are in the midst of 2 holidays. I had to ask myself could I justify paying up to $1,000 for a front row seat (I'm too old of a lamb to sit in the back) just to hear her sing flat, and lipsynch the same old songs in the same old arrangement?
