Q-Tip / Ray Angry (36,044) by Bsquared from USA
Glad to see some to new names. I know Triumphant might be too urban for some people, but when Mariah gets it right with urban/rnb, it's pure magic. I am glad she is still going in that direction. Ribbon8, I don't think Ne-Yo should be throwing shade at anyone. He isn't even that great. Frank Ocean > Ne-yo.

New look (36,043) by lashonda collins from usa
I must say, I'm really impressed with this site. I've come here for many years and it's nice to see that it's more modernized now. Keep up the great work.

Album in March (36,042) by Ali from USA
I think it's great that MC is holding off on the album. When she has a Spring release (E=MC2 and Emancipation) she seems to do better. Plus the single is not strong and also there are a lot of females dropping albums in the next Fall - P!nk, Leona Lewis, Brandy (yay), Christina Aguilera, etc. In any event, I still can't wait for the Triumphant video premiere. This album also needs a stellar campaign. I know we've all talked about how great the "Return of the Voice" approach was, but honestly with Whitney gone, and Adele having blown up, I think people are longing for great songs with great vocals. Randy doesn't get it. The way you move units like you did in the 90's is you get an across the board smash. Always Be My Baby was played on pop, adult contemporary, and urban radios. Adele's songs hit all formats which is why she saw album sales that reflected that. You don't centralizes singles. A hit song is a hit song. Stations will pick it up.

Video / Alain (36,040) by RibbonB from USA
I'm looking forward to the Triumphant video. I am loving the Sepia tones and the gold elements so far. Alain, I agree the song will take time to build, it's getting some decent radio adds in the US. It can take songs some time to build, especially the way radio formats are these days.

Triumphant (Get 'Em) music video world premiere (36,039) by Rod from Philippines
Just a heads up for the fans and lambs alike. The world premiere for the music video of Triumphant (Get 'Em) is scheduled on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 as per Mariah's recent tweet. Also, the "big" tv performance we are all anticipating is an hour long pre-game show (with No Doubt) at Rockefeller Plaza, NYC for the 1st NFL game this season (Giants vs. Cowboys). It will air on NBC at 7:30pm EDT on September 5, 2012. Mark your calendars!

Triumphant will slowly become popular (36,038) by Lainsky from Philippines
Her other songs in the 90's were like this and I really do believe it's a very nice song so let's wait and see.

Triumphant (Get 'Em) analysis (36,037) by Rod from Philippines
I don't think the original version of Triumphant (Get 'Em) is as bad as some fans, other casual fans and the general public (?), who didn't like it and preferred the remixes over it, would like to make it appear. Most of the feedback received for the original version were negative (too much rap, Mariah was apparently "featured" on her own single, she was again using the "whisper" and not belting much, generic and stale production, cliched lyrics, etc.) while most, if not all, of the feedback received for the dance remixes were positive (reminded fans of the old Mariah dance remixes, nice full vocals, "finally" a Mariah single with just Mariah!, etc.). Yet the original version with rap is currently outselling the dance remixes on iTunes US and worldwide. And eventhough the dance remixes were only released in certain countries so far, that's not an excuse to get 'em digitally and make it legally count towards the sales chart and the main chart. Amazon and other digital retail outlets have the dance remixes too. It's so easy to put the blame on others (rubbish single, lack of promo from Mariah herself, her team and the record label; Mariah being stubborn and not delivering what her fans and the general public would like to hear from her; etc.) for the single's poor chart performance but one thing remains a fact that can't be argued with. That is, the sales figures for the dance remixes still aren't reflecting the rave the dance remixes got when they first premiered.

Triumphant CD singles (36,036) by Edge McQueen from Philippines
Triumphant promo CD singles are sold in ebay at very expensive prices. Does anyone have any idea when the commercial CD singles come out? I hope IDJ and Universal will release CD singles. They should also consider the CD-buying demographic as most of Mariah's followers grew up in the 90's and 00's when CD singles were mostly sold to promote music.

Out of tune (36,035) by Brandon from USA
While I hate it when MC's songs stall on the charts, I hope that the negative feedback from the fans and low chart position of Triumphant will give her more insight into what the fans want to hear from her. A song over run with rappers is not it. I love hip hop, but not from Mimi. I know alot of non fans that are waiting for good music from her. I honestly don't think she is in tune musically with her fanbase right now. It's time that she get in tune with her fans, step out of the box, and give us something fresh and new. The world is watching and listening. It's up to her to captivate us with good music and us to back good music.

Charts (36,034) by Stacey from USA
More of the same. Could it be the song is not that great, therefore not peaking interest? MC needs to ditch IDJ and go with a team that will promote her properly. Because when you put out a so-so song (my opinion) and don't promote it right, this is what you get. I hope I'm wrong. Something tells me I'm not, though.

How do you fix Triumphant general reception? (36,033) by Edward from USA
It is sad that after all these years most people are not embracing Triumphant. It was a major mistake to have released the Meek Mills and Rick Ross version first, since that's the first impression people got. The remixes for me are great, but a little dated. It's like listening to the fantastic remixes for Heartbreaker, those were fantastic but sounded fresh. At this point and with American Idol on its way, if the single doesn't pick up, I think she should scrape it off and start fresh. Obsessed had a Rap version, but it was well balanced since Mariah dominated the song as she has always done on all her rap collaborations, of course those that are considered to be her tracks. We have a few remixes for Triumphant, but unlike the Heartbreaker remixes, they kind of sound the same. I still love them though, but it really hurts me that people are not feeling them. She should pull a Leona Lewis and scrape the song off the album, and keep on recording.

How do you solve a problem like Mariah? (36,032) by Rod from Philippines
Triumphant (Get 'Em) missed the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart this week and debuted at #15 on the Bubbling Under Chart instead. It also fell off the Hot 100 R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart this week peaking at #97. Radio has not been playing the track much since it premiered two weeks ago, though the recent official radio add date saw some increase in spins and audience impressions. (Hopefully, it continues to do so.) Digital sales of the original version and the 2 dance remixes - Vintage Throwback Remix and Pulse Club Mix - were dismal which saw the former peaking at #37 on iTunes US while the latter peaking at #294 and #352 respectively. And as of this writing, all versions are out of the Top 400 and freefalling. The video will premiere either this weekend or early next week. A "special" tv performance (finally, some promo!) is also slated in the coming weeks. Let us cross our fingers that these last few tricks up the record label's/Team Mariah's sleeves will at least breathe life to Triumphant (Get 'Em) once more or we are in for a Mariah drought for the rest of the year (unless the label does a re-release of Merry Christmas II You with some new remixes of the other potential singles/tracks) until American Idol Season 12 airs next year.

Frank collab "meh" (36,031) by RibbonB from USA
Frank is getting lot's of buzz, but I'm not that impressed with his music. I agree with what Ne-yo said about him, he might be too cool for school. My opinion about that is he's trying to be a bit too ecclectic. His melodies are not complete and he doesnt have good beats, but Mariah does know how to elevate the music she works with. As for outside her comfort zone, as long as it's with good musicians, good lyricists that is the most important thing.

Mariah collabos (36,030) by Bsquared from USA
Frank Ocean would be my first pick. I just wish she would work with people outside her comfort zone.

Collabs (36,028) by Stephen from London, United Kingdom
I think the idea of Mariah collaborating with Miguel and Frank Ocean is a great one. I really like both artists and think a songwriting collab would be amazing, particularly with Frank. A vocal and songwriting collab with Miguel would work too. Adorn is a jam.

Licia / collab (36,027) by RibbonB from USA
My only wish is for them to collab writing together, but he could sing great back up. I'm not a fan of Mariah singing duets. But he seems like a great new songwriter and he's a guitarist. I think they could write a couple of interesting songs that Mariah would sound fabulous on.

RibbonB / Adorn (36,026) by Licia from USA
I love Adorn. I don't know about him and Mariah working together though. Not saying that it wouldn't work, I just can't picture it without hearing them together first.

New album / new features (36,025) by Licia from USA
Although I want a new cd now, I'm ok with waiting until March. I'd rather see her put out a great album than a rushed one. Even though Triumphant is not a great single IMO, I believe that she has much more in store for us. I'm not going to give up on her because she made a bad single choice. I love the new message board features.

Collabs (36,022) by Joanna from Poland
I agree that a collaboration with Miguel would be a splendid idea. I also wish Mariah collaborated with Frank Ocean (aka Lonny Breaux); I really enjoy his music esp. Overload and Swim Good. In my opinion, Mariah's and Frank's voices would complement each other.

Yes, I agree with Terna. I've wanted to write a message, just kept forgetting. Nice changes to add avatars and let us know not to use too many emoticons, lol. Not that I have a problem with that.

You must hear Miguel's new song Adorn, it is so addictive. It's a little Prince like, if Prince were still writing hits today. Lol. I also like his latest song "Quickie".
