Re: Collaborations (100,427) (100,428) by Bobby A from United States MC was never the same after 2001. Recording an album is always overdone with too many collaborations and weird titles. I wish she would take the Carrie Underwood approach to recording albums by keeping it simple and not worry about it being a hit album. Carrie lets her songs and voice represent her creative work. Her new album Denim and Rhinestones is the type of production MC needs on her next album. I wish she would work with Carrie's go to producer at the moment, David Garcia. He really has helped Carrie craft some brilliant songs. Who knows, maybe MC will surprise us this year. (Saturday 11 June 2022; 03:24)

Collaborations (100,427) by Randy from USA I feel like she goes out of her way for collaborations. Can Mariah just make a Mariah album. I love the relationship she has with her piano players in "backstage" moments. Why can't she write and record an album by herself with only piano, violin and strings? It's not just her wanting rappers that bores me to tears, it's her wanting producers. I want to see her do a Lauryn Hill, Prince or Alicia Keys. On the back cover: Written Produced and Arranged by Mariah Carey. We don't need tidbits about projects that are gonna be disappointing. We need music. We need her genius. I don't want her to slay. Nick was discussing business and how much he was learning from his marriage to Mariah. She does big international things and he's dealing with big money and acquisitions through their marriage. I don't think he was describing Mariah walking out to the grocery store. It sounds more like album promo with "security" and "jets". The big money deals she's involved with. Also, James never gifted Mariah a boat. He rented one for her for a week while they were on vacation. (Friday 10 June 2022; 06:58)

He's trying to sue for having the same title song and the same "theme". Neither can be copyrighted. Songs with the same title and love song themes have both been around since the dawn of time. Everybody is teaming up these days and that means more channels to go through. Even TGIFY had to be put on hold for the single release because all the artists were in, then their managements had a change of heart and they had to redo things before it was given the green light. Currently, MC had a project with other artists that didn't make deadlines even though it was finished. There's no money in the music biz anymore so now everyone needs things done a certain way. I don't think this has to do with her voice, I think she's got a lot of people involved in this project with their own brands. (Friday 10 June 2022; 03:57)

(100,418) by bliss! from Brazil I read an article that said Mariah was set to work with The Matrix (production team responsible for some of Avril Lavigne hits) in 2003. Did that ever happen? On another note, for me IMO she always sounds like a broken record. She never has information and everything is hush hush and she can't talk about anything. I get it, projects have to be but at the same time it's boring and I would rather her come out when she can discuss actual details on a project and what it means to her. I think her voice is shot (100,413) by T from USA I hear fans complaining about no new album this year. And how there seems to be two Mariah's. The one who's bubbly and fun and the other who showed up at that Twitter spaces. We should all remember that she is bi-polar and you never know what mood she could be in at any given time. Look, as for the album, the old Mariah in good voice back in the 1990's could release an album every year. She could sing the phone book if she wanted to. Now it takes her a lot longer to get it all together. My only concern is that she bragged how the two year pandemic made her voice stronger. So why didn't she record then? Like the old days. I'm worried that by the time she does her voice won't be as great again. Then again, maybe she just said her voice has healed but with no actual proof we are only left to speculate. How can there be a statute of limitations on sexual assault, but this person can swindle money over a song 30 years after the fact, based on a title? There's many songs called Can't Let Go, or when Ariana Grande sang "a little less conversation and a little more touch my body", does Ariana owe Elvis and Mariah money for using their lyrics in an obvious reference to their songs A Little Less Conversation and Touch My Body? Absurd. Speaking of lawsuits, where are things sitting with Morgan and Stella's lawsuits? Anyone have details or inside info on what's going on there? (Tuesday 7 June 2022; 21:12)

Lawsuit (100,409) by Tameka walker from United states The thing about this lawsuit is that this song was made almost 30 years ago. If he wrote it why wait almost 30 years to sue? He sees that it is a classic and he wants credit. Mariah wrote it fair and square. He is after money. If I wrote a song and someone stole it I am not going to wait 30 years to sue. As soon as I heard about the lawsuit I googled All I Want For Christmas Is You by Doug Stone and after hearing it I saw similarities and just thought it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities that Tommy had Mariah take that song from her label mate and make it a million times better.
