Colbert (101,759) by Bobby A from United States
MC is looking so beautiful these days. I think it is because of being back in New York. How many days now until the Christmas shows?

Interview was fine. She did a good job. Just curious why the audience still needs to wear masks.

Mariah, be healthy and well gracefully (101,756) by Nick G from Germany
[censored] After the news from Celine I'm glad that Mariah seems healthy and hopefully keeps making music for a long time.

Mariah, be healthy and well gracefully (101,754) by "MariahHater" from Hell
So sad to hear Celine to have SPS. Lambs are truly lucky to have Mariah be all over. She is now the only thriving survivor of the pack.

Moet and Chandon performance (101,753) by Bill from the UK
At the risk of sounding positive, I do agree she sounded better at this performance than the last time I saw a live performance (Saudi Arabia). I noticed she wasn't wearing a corset so perhaps it really is a valid excuse she uses haha.

Mariah on Colbert (101,752) by Randy from USA
As I'm writing this, I realize why she's so insecure. We really do pick apart everything about her. But since we have a little extra time. Start with the positive. She looked amazing. I love the ponytail. I love that her foundation matched her skin perfectly. And she looked like money. Now, Randy will speak. She is interesting to listen to but at times it's just too immature for a 50+ year old woman. She's not a ditz but she seems to revel in playing one. She's so excited to check off every talking point in her head, she speaks in fast garbled sentences. But MC we know you wrote the song. We know you are mixed. We know you didn't go to class. We know your Christmases were ruined. With all that said, I was never bored and could not take my eyes off of her. I don't think she came off likeable to the non fan. And how weird was it that she walked out to Natural Woman? Number one, she has the most famous original Christmas song of all time blazing the charts. Number two, she has the largest catalogue of number ones of any living artist. And did anyone else get the feeling Steven Colbert was like wtf, she's crazier than I expected, the whole time? What do y'all think?

Only two more sleeps until me and my crew she [sic] Mariah in Toronto. We're in the third row, and the recent Moet and Chandon performance made me even more excited then I already was. 6x here we come baby. (We flight out from Vancouver tonight. )

Moet and Chandon performance (101,749) by Warren from Trinidad & Tobago
Totally agree Robert. This is by no means Toyko Dome, however the confidence and ability to attempt some of what she was doing is certainly there for some reason, and its paying off. Its not like she's trying and failing. I like what I see.

Mariah and Dolly and Patti and other stuff (101,748) by Carlos from Brazil
The bus is sooo cool. I saw a footage on [YouTube] of her leaving the apartment and going to the bus and you can see what to me looked like a huge TV with an image of a fireplace haha.

Mariah and Dolly and Patti and other stuff (101,746) by Brad from USA
I know they aren't necessarily an apparent pairing but I think for Christmas music season it would be neat to see Mariah pair up with Dolly Parton. To shift gears, have we heard anything about the collabo of MC and Patti on Patti's next album? To shift again, it's pretty nice to see Mariah doing her mogul activities at this time of year with so many ventures. I'm not the biggest fan of the alcohol/spirits lane she is in but I understand it can be lucrative. I didn't quite understand the Moet & Chandon performance, is this for her Angel champagne? The snippets I heard sounded like she was singing over a backing track but definitely a good portion of it was live. I also like the "little bus" she has been using to get around NYC. It seems so smart to me, she can do work with her team on her way to an event and also have her kids with her. Is this a particular kind of bus? It looks like a party bus but I'm sure its more sophisticated than that and hopefully environmentally responsible. She seems to be doing well and appears to be healthier and more fit. Hopefully that is in fact the case. Anyhow, enjoy the season and the moment.

Check out the videos on Twitter. Maybe I am totally wrong. It was totally live. Was it Daydream era vocals? Not by any means, but she definitely sounded better than September at that outside event.

Charmbracelet - 20 years (101,744) by Bill from the UK
Yes, my Charmbracelet on my playlist is a heavily edited version of the album:

1. Through the Rain (radio edit)
2. The One (without rap)
3. I Know What You Want
4. Yours
5. I Only Wanted
6. Clown
7. My Saving Grace
8. Bringin' on the Heartbreak (AC version)
9. Miss You
10. Sunflowers
11. Through the Rain (remix)

My version is a bit more concise and digestible and removes the bland whisper-heavy tracks. I remember when I first listened to CB on the day of release, it was the only album of hers where I was actually frustrated half way through. By the 16th chorus of Lullaby I was like, just shut up already.

The whole era was a bit of a miss. Lyrically the album is great, I'd put it up there with Butterfly personally, but everything seemed a bit half baked.

MC's voice is back. I loved her solo version of Big Energy. She really sounded like she will make us proud in 8 days.

Charmbracelet - 20 years (101,741) by Nick G from Germany
[I] have a love-hate relationship with [Chambraclet]. As an album bad to average at best. But it was the first album after [Glitter] that made me a Mariah fan. There are many irrelevant songs on the normal version. The album is the beginning of the eternal self-copying of itself and the attempt to make Butterfly new. Only through TEOM came a fresh wind. I prefer the bonus tracks. The ideal track list looks like this:
1. Miss U
2. Boy Street Remix
3. There goes my heart
4. Lullyby
5. You had your chance
6. Got a Thing for U
7. I know what you want
8. Clown
9. My Saving Grace
10. Through the Rain
Then it would be a perfect RnB album.

Well, no this early, but I'm pretty sure she'll be #1 next week. I predict she'll be at the top for at least 5 weeks.

Charmbracelet - 20 years (101,739) by Terna from Nigeria
For me I did not like this era at all and it's an amalgamation of a lot of factors, yes lyrically the album was mature and really strong but the vocals were irritating to listen to and quite honestly off-putting and I still really feel this way up until today. Whatever vocal issues she had be masking was in full display here and one could not ignore it – her belts were strained and she was suffocating here (literally guys), there isn't any so to speak "real voice" here, her resonance is non existent and everything is "shouty" when she tries to go for it. I was so disappointed and irritated as a die hard "lamby". The only outstanding song on this record is "Through The Rain" (this song is very special and actually a classic in my opinion and I would say one of her signature songs), and maybe "My Saving Grace". Every other song here is a muddled whispery mess have you heard the full 5 minute version of "You Got Me"? Ugh). The album is also poorly produced instrumental and especially vocally, there does not seem to be any reverb on her vocals and if there, very sparse. I also feel the album is boring. Phew thank God for "The Emancipation of Mariah Carey".

Oh Santa with Ari & J Hud (101,738) by Chicago Lamb from USA
These days, artists are rarely in the studio at the same time to lay their vocal tracks. For example Mariah and Whitney did their tracks separately then met in the studio for the video promo. However music videos require the artist to be assembled in the same room. I'm sure there have been instances where artists have been "green screened" in.

No, I don't think so because I purchased the digital tracks from the special at FYE's Mix and Burn. And Oh Santa was not an option to select to create my CD. I really think the vocals were recorded separately piecing the vocals together to film the video. Just my thoughts.

Watching the Apple TV show. So much of this show is in front of a green screen and it looks great. But - do we think that MC, AG & JH were ever actually in the same studio at the same time?
