Re: JD / studio pic (97,972) (97,976) by T from USA
Wasn't that a pic of when he surprised Mariah by putting Stevie Wonder on Make It Look Good? I think that was an old picture where he had Mariah on the phone while being with Stevie in person. I doubt Stevie spent his birthday with JD.

After all, she said it herself "If Jermaine likes it, then I like it."

You know she's gonna have JD in the mix.

Lol. When she posts a pic of being in the studio with JD, MC16 will be almost done. It happened with Caution, but ultimately the JD and Bobby Ross Avila track was not used for Caution.

JD / studio pic (97,972) by Shezz from Pk
Before all the lambs collectively facepalm, the pic Mariah reposted of JD in her stories was of him in the studio with Stevie Wonder, Mariah was on the phone with them, not recording with JD (this is from JD's post - MC left it very ambiguous). But of course, we still probably will end up getting some JD I'm sure.

Please let's also acknowledge how Mariah once again take the extra step in comparison to other celebrities let alone legends in reaching to us aka the fans. A trendsetter, watch every celebrity do this soon. She really loves us, I guess our love is also supernatural.

I just hope Mariah's team finds a way to rotate the lucky fans. And for the upcoming fans, I say this with love, stop rambling about yourself and let's all get creative with our questions. If the chance is given, I already have many questions lined up.

It's very interesting that she is not posting any studio pictures. Agent M is keeping everything top secret.

Twitter (97,968) by Terna from Nigeria
Mariah was on "Twitter Spaces" earlier today on a new feature on Twitter that allows real-time voice conversations, with a few interactions at a time allowed by a moderator, she made mention of the fact that she is indeed working on new material and has many ideas which she's keeping mum on at the moment because she doesn't wanna be ripped off again by artist who basically steal her ideas and try to pass off as theirs. Haha. She also mentioned the fact that it was reminiscent of the way she made "Butterfly" and "The Emancipation of Mimi" the creativity and the feels of how she's been working so far, she also hinted that this could just be some of her best work ever. It was quite a long chat and we had Maxwell in the building also, he's a big Lamb I was surprised to find out, and spoke highly of Mariah.

Re: Brandy collab / Skrillex (97,959) (97,967) by Nicky from Jasmine's Sofa
I would still love an all duets album. I feel like if she chose the right collabs it could garner enough attention for her to release a solo album within months of releasing the duets.

I would love to hear her with Brandy, Daley, Babyface, H.E.R., Maxwell, Jojo, D'Angelo, Ariana, Faith Evans, Tevin Campbell, Daniel Ceasar, Gallant, Khalid, to name several. There are so many great singers that she would sound amazing with. I'm still shocked that we never got an En Vogue/Mariah collab. I've never heard her mention them, nor them her. I always thought something amazing could come from that session.

Seems like there might be validity to this. Not sure they will get out of this one. I love Tiny and think she is an underrated singer but her willingness to do her husband's bidding just to keep him happy might be her downfall.

Do you think TI and Tiny will "XScape" their legal woes? Some of these cases are strange and random.

Who else watched this last night? Xscape played the ABMB remix and they brought Da Brat to wrap. Both groups did really well.

Re: Brandy collab / Skrillex (97,959) (97,960) by RibbonB from USA
Just Mimi singing a strong song with a cool melody with an awesome pianist, John Batiste comes to mind. Even better, if she would dare do an orchestral version of one of her songs. I saw also Blac on the Masked singer and he is so versatile and talented, I can see a great duet with he and Mariah, maybe a Jazz duet. I would really just like to hear Mimi singing solo in good form.

Brandy collab / Skrillex (97,957) by 123 from USA
Mariah's tweet to Brandy asking her if they are going to do background vocals. Sounds like a collab that kind of came out of nowhere. Both of these artists are known for their background vocals, so it would be interesting to see if they come up with something good. I would like Mariah to work with Jazmine Sullivan though, I think they would blend well vocally and write a good song. Skrillex posted a butterfly recently. I would t mind another collaboration with him. The Distance was very current day pop with some bounce once the beat kicked in. A new sound from her usual mid tempo r&b kick she's been on. I'd like an album full of up tempos. That would be very different for her and help inject some energy into her discography since a lot of her earlier work was ballads.

Re: Favorite interlude (97,953) (97,955) by Bill from the UK
Apparently Rainbow was originally meant to be a full song but ended up being an interlude due to her rushing the album to get off the Columbia label at the time.

My favourite interlude would definitely be Languishing. Divine.

Always love the Rainbow interlude. Was that ever made into a full version or just meant to be an interlude for the album?

E=MC2 thank you's Happy Mother’s Day (97,952) by T from USA
I just read the original CD booklet of E=MC2 and the very first thank you is to her mom. It was the last time she mentions her in an album, before that she didn't miss a mom mention. I wonder if after marrying Nick Cannon and having children the relationship broke for good. I know she had a song and video with her but that was before giving birth. I wonder if becoming a mom of her own changed her relationship with her own mom?
