Here Comes Santa Claus (97,003) by Terna from Nigeria I kind of like the new version better than the 2010 one. Production wise it's definitely better and [Snoop] brings his flavor making [magic] with Mariah's re-recorded vocals which sound fuller. Plus for the most part Jermaine is kept on mute. Re: Daley - My All (96,987) (96,994) by Bobby A from United States Yes it was me. Time Travel is one of my favorite songs. He just needs a major label support again. When he started out in 2012, he was on Republic Records. They were going to pour a lot of money into him after his first album. However, the label executives wanted him to go full blown Pop. I still won't forgive myself for the conversation I had with him three days before the atrocity. The slightest difference would, ironically, the butterfly effect have created. I don't care how stupid I know myself to be, here. Empty chairs at empty tables. I chose Petals because Mariah had ruined Close My Eyes with the ruinous 202 version. But also in that (less facetiously) Petals reminds me of 2000 Mariah and the comforting wing that that brings. And Out Here On My Own because it's just a stellar piece of work and I love Mariah for giving that vocal to me but also despair at her for denying me it for so long. Perhaps I'd actually ask Mariah to sing Everything Fades Away because it is symbolic of every part of my life. The three songs I chose are by no means - possibly - my favourite. But they are the ones of which I'd ask Mariah to sing me a soft verse and chorus. What fun, no less. What three songs, verse and chorus, soft voice, would everyone like Mariah to sing to them? I am certainly very pleased you are on the mend, old friend. You should WhatsApp me one of these days. You, Randy, Jade and I, and, I dare say, some others, would have wicked fun with updates. Vocal talk through - Oh Santa (96,992) by 123 from USA I enjoyed this vocal talk through of the Ph Santa Remix vocal arrangement. Mariah went on to explain in the Apple interview that she vocally produced the remix so it was great to hear someone talk through the arrangement of three very different voices. I kind of forgot about him but I finally stopped being cheap and have a Spotify membership so I've been searching for all kinds of music and favoriting them. I'll have to look up time travel. I've been on a reggaeton kick lately and finding some "Spanish" r&b which I didn't really know existed but it can be exhausting going through playlists to find what I like. Mariah Carey Apple interview (96,990) by 123 from USA Such a good interview. I love that the interviewer sticks to discussing her musicality which leads to some interesting discussion and pushes Mariah to elaborate. These are the type of interviews that I missed from back in the day. You can tell the interviewer studied up and did some research. There seems to be a new big male artist that is chummy with now and is going to collaborate with in the future. Not sure if it's Drake or The Weekend. I know she mentioned to big male artists she was looking to collaborate with on an album last December but wasn't sure who it might have been. I wonder if she will fund the features herself since her label isn't investing any major dollars in her projects anymore. I'm hoping she at least pushes the label to send out her singles to all radio formats or pulls a LLoyd and goes to the stations herself and offer exclusive interviews in exchange to be added to their playlists. I would ask her to sing to me "TTEOT", "Petals" and Definitely "Butterfly". When I first heard "Butterfly" it was surreal to me, she really poured her heart into it, not only lyrically, but melodically and musically. If that were to happen, I would die happy. High note moment (96,986) by Lee from UK My favourite part of the Oh Santa! video is Mariah's signal to Ariana that their high note part is coming up at 3:03. When Jennifer sings "I know he will", Mariah signals with her hand while looking at Ariana. At first, I thought she was gesturing to Jennifer's vocals but I think it was more of an invitation to Ariana to go for it. She's suing and shading her own daughter for cutting her off financially. Relations can be so problematic. I hope Vanessa wins and cuts off the greedy leech.
