Not long now (95,749) by Bobby A from United States
This week has been so great for MC being in media. This time next week we will have TMOMC and TR in our hands.

Well, that's how they are. To be of any merit to them, you first have to be:
a) a man
b) a rock artist
c) a boomer at the very least

If you fit neither of those criteria, you're already at a huge disadvantage. I just appreciate the delicious irony of ranking Mariah and her output so low in the past only to put TEOM on their GOAT list over a decade later.

Yes there were remixes for Against All Odds, by Pound Boys. And not all remixes were released on those EPs already available to stream.

Re: MC30 (95,742) (95,745) by enwar00 from usa
I mean, maybe the EPs are done being released. I also have Android and [stream] on Amazon Music, and all 3 Rainbow ones are already on there. I just woke up in the middle of the night and noticed there was a CTTA Morales Club Mix Edit that I'd never heard so I listened, as one does in the middle of the night, and that was a cute moment. Were there official Against All Odds remixes? It wasn't released here so I wasn't privy to their existence. Come to think of it I suffered a huge loss that summer so I was kind of in the clouds and paying less attention anyway. Eek.

Re: Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of all Time (95,743) (95,744) by Bill from the UK
Rolling Stone lost all credibility for me when they ranked Mariah 49th in the 50 greatest singers. What the hell was that about. Morons.

Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of all Time (95,743) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Never thought I'd see the day this would happen as Rolling Stone has not exactly been the most welcoming of Mariah's discography, but The Emancipation of Mimi has just been included at #389 on their revised list.

A lot of rock fans are pissed that their revered classics no longer dominate the list like they used to, especially its upper half. There is also an obscene amount of new rap/hip-hop entries that got in this time.

The list is still questionable at best, and we shouldn't lend too much credence to a publication that has notoriously historically biased towards male artists, particularly in rock, but it's nice to see them finally recognize Mariah's influence rather than pretending that she doesn't exist.

While TEOM's inclusion over Butterfly or Daydream is quite the surprise (the magazine rated it 2.5 out of 5 stars in 2005), it's actually easy to overlook the album's influence and impact due to its commercial success and Mariah's comeback narrative. Looking back, the album did help get melodic R&B back into the mainstream public consciousness after a few years of the charts being dominated by the singing rappers (Ja Rule, Nelly, 50 Cent, Missy, etc.). Its perfect, balanced fusion of modern and retro soul has clearly stylistically influenced later albums such as The Breakthrough and Growing Pains by Mary J. Blige, Fergie's The Dutchess, Alicia Keys' As I Am, Beyonce's B'day, Keyshia Cole's debut album, and heck, even J.Lo's Brave, among others.

MC30 (95,742) by Bill from the UK
So was the Oprah interview this week's MC30 gift? I won't be able to get to watch this until next week when my brother is back and I can borrow his account. Hopefully after the period of exclusivity MC will put it on her YouTube for all to enjoy. I've always been an Android man so have nothing to do with Apple and their services. Where are my Rainbow EPs lol.

Oprah interview (95,741) by Licia from USA
That was a really great interview. I love when she leaves Divariah in the basement and let's Mariah shine. I can't wait for the book. I'm so surprised to hear what she said about her mom. I never thought their relationship was like that. This book is going to be interesting and I was skeptical. I thought it would be all rainbows and unicorns. Seems like she's really going there.

Hi Billy from Greece. Here is a very low quality rip. Fyi, there are spoilers from the book in this interview.

Re: Mariah is everywhere (95,714) (95,738) by 123 from USA
Lambs on another board were flipping out that there was no promo outside of her social media but I knew they would wait until closer to the release date to start promo. The Oprah interview was good. I like that Oprah took Mariah to task when she tried to avoid one of her questions. Mariah can do this with other interviewers but she knew Oprah wasn’t going to let that one go. Dont watch it if you don’t want spoilers of the book.

Article: Mariah says Derek Jeter "was a catalyst" in her divorce (95,737) by Andrew from the United Kingdom
Word on the wire is that Derek Jeter has two other children: a lesbian called Minn and a fat one called Binn.

Maybe that joke is too British for an international audience.

Mariah and Oprah (95,736) by Mutton Dressed as Lamb from UK
I realised after watching the interview that Mariah has an amazing sense of integrity. The part where she talks about the awful thing that her ex sister did to her shocked me and I work in psychiatric services. I am not ashamed to say that I might not have been able to carry myself with the dignity Mariah has. I know that her memoir will give many people the strength to fight their own demons.

I have never felt so proud to be a lamb.

It's easy. Just post here which social media you want to share followed by your user name, password. That way you don't have to make your account public. These days that's dangerous.

How can I watch the interview without Apple TV+? Any ideas? Unless someone manages to upload it on YouTube before it's taken down.

Is there a way to share your social media if we wanted to? Would love to look up and see more of some of you. I’m WKEK2 on insta. It’s private due to someone duplicated my account but I may make it public again. I’m getting so excited for the book and album. Hope you’re having a great day.

Love the hair, love the make-up (little too heavy on the eyes but she just won't let go of this little comfort blanket), love the dress, love the look. How is this the same person that filmed that Mean Girls quiz or that God-awful STD video? She looks a mess in those. She looks stunning here. Beautiful.

Re: The Meaning of Mariah Carey (95,710) (95,727) by Andrew from the United Kingdom
Nobody should watch this. The video has been called The Meaning Of Mariah Carey for clickbait. It is a lie, preying upon people's excitement for self gain. Don't reward liars.

Re: BBMA 2020 (95,723) (95,726) by Andrew from the United Kingdom
I do think it's hardly something to be celebrated when you beat people of a much lower calibre. Imagine Meryl Streep's reaction to winning an award in a category in which Kristen Stewart, Chloe Grace Moretz and Cole Sprouse were the fellow nominees.

Re: MadTv - Thinning camera (95,718) (95,725) by Andrew from the United Kingdom
Who are you rolling your eyes at, Nigeria? You posted a link to a sketch about Oprah on a Mariah Carey messageboard that has absolutely nothing to do with Mariah Carey. Even when most topics veer off here they are some way linked to Mariah. A skit about Oprah bears no relevance whatsoever and is just a complete waste of other people's time and a drain on their interest. People are rightly getting excited about the impending release of Mariah's autobigoraphy and album. Roll your eyes that way.
