Heavy songs (109,617) by Bill from the UK
Oh is Mariah a beauty school drop out? She's never mentioned it.

A few more possible albums titles (109,616) by Bobby A from United States
Stop it, Randy. I love your creativity. I think that I have figured out the album title. The album title will be the title of the second single. All of the signs are pointing to that one key phrase MC made during the Apple interview for the hint. MC said, "I don't want to reveal the whole thing." Butterfly was the second single from the Butterfly album. A summer album release with a summery song needs a summery album title. Okay, I am thinking too hard. Lol.

#Beautiful / album title (109,614) by Zachariah from Croatia
#Beautiful, for me, had one parameter [too] much in [its] formula and that was Miguel. For me, it had a great sound, melody, even the video, but it felt like it was his song feat. Mariah. Hated that.

Regarding the title of a new album: I am ok with MC16 or MC Sweet 16. Beauty [School] Drop Out is not something other people, who are not hard core fans and don't know the reference, would get or understand.

Bobby A, holding up on revealing the album title actually builds anticipation. TD is pretty much a thing of the past now. The info we got was more than enough: the album's finished, it'll have 11-12 tracks, a new summery single is coming soon and we're getting at least one big ballad. Remember that gluttony and greed are two of the seven deadly sins.

New single soon (109,608) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
#B would have definitely gone higher had they been able to keep with the original plan but unfortunately due to Mariah's injury it was dropped. The remix was fire and a hot remix video would have definitely propelled the song well into top 10 if not top 5.

I always thought #Beautiful was a solid song, but it felt like it was missing something, maybe a bridge or a little extra punch. Now, the remix with Jeezy was imply great to me. That high note around the 3-minute mark? Pure heaven.

Miguel was riding high at the time because of his hit song Adorn. I believe they were hoping to create a song similar to Adorn, but it didn't happen that way with Miguel bringing his unfinished song to the recording studio. #Beautiful made it all way to #15 back then because of radio airplay.

Getting the album title from MC is where Nate and Ebro failed during the Apple interview. I don't understand why she just didn't reveal the title during the interview. It is not like another artist is going to steal the title for their new album. I feel it is going to be a one or two word title that she has titled her most her successful albums. Plus, I feel L.A. Reid and Larry Jackson has some new music industry tricks up their sleeves if MC just plays her cards right and listens to both men. I believe she is listening this time. The Grammy and Rock and Hall of Fame stakes are higher because she wants them take to notice of her work in 2026.

Summer fun songs (109,604) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
MOAIA is definitely one of my most listened to Mariah albums. I love that album from start to finish and to date they sound so fresh and fun. A shame it didn't get as much shine as it deserved.

Summer fun songs (109,603) by Andy from Germany
I absolutely agree. She has changed, she has evolved. Actually, I am a huge fan of the Memoirs and was a lot into the album when it came out. "Ribbon" still makes me go nuts when I hear it. And I also enjoyed the records that followed. Vocally she has changed and that fine to me as well. She is almost 60 and will not song like her 20 year old self. But all of this has been much discussed. TD is a banger. You can say what you want. Her age and somewhat strange diva persona haunts her. My nephew is a straight skater dude and really liked the track when I played it, but was disappointed when I told him it was Mariah. You guys have a great summer. Bye.

Heavy songs (109,602) by Randy from USA
Jaker20, I think Portrait on Caution is heavy so she'll do at least one. Languishing from Memoirs is heavy. Most of yall hate it but Memoirs to me is the closest follow up to Butterfly. I remember Mariah saying in the promos for Glitter, I'll never abandon my ballads they are a part of me. We will get something heavy on the new album. Any word on an album title yet? Dangerous? No MJ did that. Overhead Lighting? Anniversaries? Hey, it's one word. Beauty School Drop Out? The Reinterpretation of Mimi? How about, The Mimi Theorem, a2 + b2 = c2? Maybe, Mariah Nunez? Me. I'm Still Mariah. The Songbird Supreme. Ok ok I'll stop,

Fair enough, and while I did enjoy it when it came out, I haven't since then revisited it. At that point of time it was a refreshing sound from Mariah. But I agree it's not A+. Honey, Heartbreaker would be 2 classic summer songs but I don't think Mariah will be going that route but who knows we got Migrate 2.0 recently.

The same here. It's okay, but I never got the hype. Miguel is also overrated on this song, nothing special. There are so many better songs from Mariah that have a summer vibe.

Summer fun songs (109,594) by jaker20 from US
I can almost guarantee you that Mariah isn't going back in time and do those songs like Anytime You Need A Friend and songs from that era. She's a different person from Memoirs onwards (MIAMTEC, Caution), and the new album is likely a continuation of that.

As much as I want her heavy melodrama songs, she's not that person anymore. People change, and she's no different. Mariah herself says its a different time and cannot and should not be repeated. The album is likely in the vein of Caution and Memoirs which is a good thing. I think Memoirs is her sweet spot right now, vocally and creatively. Surprisingly it's turning out to be one of her more enduring albums.

Apple interview | MC China and the origin of Niújiě? (109,593) by Lighty from China
Mariah's popularity was huge in China back in the day with hits like Hero, Without You, and later WBT, AIWFCIY, etc. But after the shows in Beijing last year and Shenzhen/Shanghai this year, people start to realize her lip syncing thing and her reputation declined a little bit, especially online.

I remember reading someone on this board saying in Asia when lambs took part in a singing contest or an audition they won't sing Mariah's classic hits, instead they'll sing lesser known songs such as TTR, CTTR, Can't Let Go, Never Too Far, to name a few. That is totally not the case, at least not here in China.

As to the nickname cow sister, in modern Chinese slang when we say something is awesome/amazing/brilliant, we say it's "Niu Bi" which literally translates to "the vulva of a cow", doesn't sound so good but Niu Bi is a rather positive word. In the case of Mariah, people recognize her amazing vocal skills, 5 octaves, and the whistle tones. So we say she is very "Niu Bi", she's a Niu Bi sister, and in short, she's the Niu sister -> cow sister.

And the lambs here are still lambs, but also sometimes called "cow dung", doesn't sound decent either but we take it. As in China, fans of western divas are all more or less called "shit" in some circumstances. For example, fans of Gaga, "turtle shit", as Gaga herself is nicknamed "old turtle" here.
