Re: Everything Fades Away (Remix) (94,188) (94,222) by MusicfanJ from Germany
The original is one of my all time favourites and untouchable. But I really did enjoy the remix. Thanks for sharing. I was thinking of Music Box today so EFA suits perfectly. On repeat right now.

I'm going to post a list from each album minus these songs I've already revisited or refuse to listen to (Everything Fades Away, The Roof, The Wind, Crapfinity, and Sprung). I don't think my list of hate is that big. Lol.

Roger (94,217) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
Roger uses Mariah as a target of negativity whatever chance he gets. He is bitter she gave him the wrong number when they last seen each other at an event during the nightmare era, also he is Cindi Berger’s BFF. Also if he was up on game he would know that Mariah owns the music surrounding Glitter since Virgin records no longer exists. Funny how Mariah got to keep 50 million dollars from her Virgin deal, and now she owns all the publishing, and copyrights to the one sole album from that deal under her name. But let him have his opinion because Mariah came out this a situation victorious even after a little bumps, and bruises.

Why do you respect his opinion? Respect is not owed - only courtesy is. He does not have an opinion, he has a teenage girl attitude that his editor obviously thinks makes him a "personality" or contentious enough to be "edgy". I could forgive everything if he was interesting but he is not. He is clearly a twat.

Do not hand out respect lest it be earned. Be courteous. And when someone is discourteous back, tell them to [censored] off. Trust me, I'm well versed in all of this.

Ah, I just can't win with you can I? Haha. Thanks though for giving it another shot. I would ask you "which other song would you like me to suggest" before remembering your pile of disliked tracks is enormous hah. I seem to recall The Roof being discussed previously which I think you didn't take to. I can't comprehend that. It's the best track on Butterfly, and one of her best tracks, period. The video, the sample, the soft vocals, the layers, the lyrics, the atmosphere. One of the greatest compositions she's ever done.

Why articles of this nature, as well as all the rubbish from Gossip Cop is even regurgitated here is beyond me. It's not news at all. If people want to purchase an album to support an artist they like and ride the crest of an exciting wave, what's it to them? It's their money. To call them out for not donating to a Covid cause or charity is exceptionally low.

Article: Fans spent $6,000 to push Glitter to number 14 on iTunes (94,212) by Travis from USA
Andrew, I couldn't have said it better. I respect his opinion, but obviously the lambily don't care. We all know Mariah's ups, downs, and achievements. It's getting to the point where I don't bother reading or commenting on his articles because it's like he had a bad day and it rubs off into verbally knocking someone down. Mariah's an icon and legend. One of the best selling artists of all time. Still holding music records today. It's not for nothing.

Article: Fans spent $6,000 to push Glitter to number 14 on iTunes (94,211) by Andrew from the United Kingdom
I am bit surprised that this person is allowed to act as a journalist. His or her writing smacks of an embittered teenage girl writing in her angsty diary. The "article" is poorly written, pointless in content and actually seeks to mock and degrade a part of its readership. What sort of editor allows this? What sort of editor allows this and feels pride in their output? A crap editor, for certain. Or, perhaps, just another queen that never grew out of the teeny-tantrum faze. Either way, this is really awful "journalism". Does the composer of the piece really believe people will think him or her smart? Clever? They should lop the top of the "l" off and make that their new logo: gutter.

Lol just read it girl. I didn't even respond to all her claims because there's no way she could know what she assumes. But there's clear receipts to Mimi switching gears with her store bought narrative for MW.

Ribbon I couldn't even be bothered to read that mess. So from your response I'm guessing it was said she wasn't messing with Banaka while with James and she didn't have her kids around both men? Lol.

Bill I really tried, but it's still a no for me. It's not a bad song nor do I hate it. It's just not grabbing me. I really wanted to like it because the vocals are incredible. You can tell exactly what era this song came from just by the vocals. Give me another song to try. Lol.

I am aware that Epic has ties to Sony, my point was she is no longer a part of the Epic branch, she is now dealing directly with Sony.

Re: Ultimate disrespect (94,202) (94,206) by RibbonB from USA
You're full of it, with this totally revisionist fan fiction. Mimi spent Christmas 2015 in Aspen with James around her kids, then she's dumped after cheating or acting like it with the hired help and gets dumped by end of summer 2016. She then turns around and spends Christmas 2016 with Stella and the help Binaka around her kids in Aspen. Like not even missing a beat. And she exposed her kids to all her upheaval like it was nothing.

Remember Packer was saying that Madonna is not a vocalist. But Celine, Mariah and Whitney are? I wonder was it MC or someone from her team who shaded Madonna through Packer.

Re: Ultimate disrespect (94,175) (94,202) by Nikki from usa
Mariah didn't cheat on James with Tanaka. I'm a bit shocked at the amount of people trying to pass off a reality show as real life. Tanaka was her manny - male nanny. Packer wasn't actually with Mariah in the first place. He was hiding behind her skirts and playing up publicity to hide all the exposure coming out of the crimes he was wanted for. Anyone who actually read that prenup would've acknowledged that it had an expiration date. Their "marriage" would be null and void once Mariah hit 50 and he wanted to pay her 1 million a year to be his wife. He really wanted his previous wife back who dumped him to date Seal.

Mariah was under contract for Mariah's World and James jumped ship last minute. Obviously, Tanaka would become the new lead. It was a month after the show wrapped that he asked her out for real. The kids already liked him and everyone assumed they were dating anyway, but Mariah didn't invite him to any family events or kid birthdays until they were together for a year. Anything is better than Stella.

Re: Mariah's voice (94,177) (94,201) by Nikki from usa
Mariah fans love using weak ass wine as a crutch. She's a Lyric Coloratura and most of them don't have a career beyond their early 30's. What allows them to fly through registers and have near superhuman agility is that their vocal chords are thinner than the average person's.

During the early 30's the voice becomes deeper and elasticity begins to thin. This is why most singers lower the key from the original. The thinning elasticity on already thin chords can be detrimental to a Coloratura's ability to sing. The agility takes a hit and the voice may not be as reliable. Yes, Mariah's singing style is far more difficult and complex than most pop stars. Even verifiable vocal coaches on YouTube mention that.

Mariah has a worse issue because of nodes. I don't think anyone really understands the amount of work and sacrifice Mariah made in her 20's. She didn't have time for friends, family, or hobbies. All she did was create new music and work on her voice. Mariah has never given up her work ethic. You're right, she's not working on her voice and maintaining it as she should. She's too busy working a back to back schedule. She finished up her Butterfly residency in February. She's been quarantined in her NY home since mid March and is approaching her 5th and 6th tribute. She'd get a lot of her voice back if she practiced instead of just resting and working with what she has at the moment.

Re: Martyn (94,197) (94,199) by Andrew from the United Kingdom
It isn't intended to be self-promotional but thanks for the nice message - that is sweet of you, in return. That period three years ago was devastating, not least how I and we here found out but that such a warm light was extinguished so nonsensically. It made me realise that almost all things should be done with good humour.

I think it is important to remember people, that they were here, that they walked among us, informed us, annoyed us, humored us or just simply were. Martyn's death and life affected me greatly once and, I think, a large many other people. And I choose to remember that he was here and he was one of us.

Till the end of time.

How to sing high (94,198) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I think that this is a very [interesting] video, and maybe shows that the detoriation of Mariah's voice isn't just age or tare, but that she's using a different technique to [reach] the high notes than the nasal queens.
