Top favorite vocal tone eras (89,918) by Bobby A from United States
I was listening to MC's SNL performance of Touch My Body today. I just love her tone this era. Although, her vocal range was showing some wear and tear, she still demonstrated excellent vocal tone and technique during this era. So my top two favorite vocal tone eras are E=MC2 and Charmbracelet. Her vocal techniques and range make me smile every time when I listen to Charmbracelet.

Recent testing on the virus suggests that a rigorous and aggressive treatment of what researchers are dubbing "whistle only" therapy, be administered nd they're attributing the therapy to famed singer Mariah Carey. Researchers believe that a lack of right-to-dream single enzymes may be the culprit. It is also noted that this virus seems to originate in The A, Anyone infected should immediately report to The Special K laboratory for treatment. It is also advised they refrain from engaging in unprotected Migrate-shouldv'e-been-a-single conversations.

Andrew, Licia, Special K and Edward (89,916) by Randy from USA
I've been going through a tough time lately. Thanks for making me laugh. As I sit here attempting a whistle note and air only comes out. I agree they're pretty special. When used sparingly. On which of her 15 albums has she used it sparingly? Oh wait it's a constant from the Vocal Box. Wait that should be the name of her next album. Or would that diminish public knowledge that she's a songwriter?

The Distance (89,915) by Brad from USA
Hi All, hope everyone is well. I was just thinking that The Distance is really such a good summery bop and I am a bit nostalgic for those days of summer Mariah bops on the radio that defined the time and season. I wish we would go after those ageists in the music industry who retire an artist when they determine rather than when the artist so determines. We could all use a little Mariah anthem on the radio this summer. Enjoy and be well to others.

Yes, I absolutely agree. Just pure heavenly perfection.

72 hours (89,913) by Special K from USA
Randy was attacked by an extreme rare aggressive virus that has taken over his brain and made him metamorphise into Mr. Killjoy. Here in Cali Special K has been working vigorously on a liguid serum that will cure Randy before it's too late. I only have 72 hours to save Randy before it's too late.

Mariah should release a whistle album, it would be like super epic-epic. Randy, I heard there's a version of "Right to Dream" with whistles too. Wasn't the whistled version of "With You" burning the R&B charts? Oh, I think I need my meds again.

Angels Cry Prelude all the way. She sounds majestic.

Surprised nobody has mentioned the whistle from The Star Spangled Banner, love how the music fades out to let her voice right at that moment take centre stage.

Robert Anthony (89,908) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
While I respect how you feel, I have to disagree with you that pop radio is not interested in female artists over 35 other than Beyoncé because they are not apart of the demographic that they are trying to reach. With You was a AC hit which is the audience that is more MC’s speed at this point in her career. Also Caution is more of an R&B album and the has done quite well on the R&B charts spending 5 weeks at #1. MC could easily work with the current chart chasers but she will only get backlash because it will look like she is trying to chase trends instead of being a trendsetter. I am happy MC decided to make music that she feels truly represents her instead making an album that feels forced or trying to be a Trap&B queen, when she is already hip-pop empress.

Dang Randy you couldn't just let us have this peaceful moment? Lord knows I hate to see the fan videos where they are trying to "prove" she's still got it, but it's nothing but whistles. I get what you're saying and I agree, but come on. Damn it Randy (shakes fist in the air like a old lady). Lol.

Re: Old Town Road 89,897) (89,906) by Bobby A from United States
MC should had some high profile features like Drake, Beyonce, Robin Thicke and John Legend. The real question is why MC doesn't bring the pop songs like she use to do. Caution was good but it could have been better. I feel a lot of missteps were obvious in Caution's rollout in September. GTFO should have been released in July with a Drake feature with a long form video and dance remixes. With You should have never been the first single. Another radio friendly ballad should have been recorded and chosen. A Pop and Oak collaboration over an old school sample could have made Caution soar on the charts.

My favorites are "Can't let go", the beginning sounds like an angel, "Emotions", "Fantasy" and "Bringin on the heartbreak". And the "All in your mind" whistle is just cute.

My favorite whistle is the actual whistles in the outro of Ribbon. HATEU whistles are great too.

Me against the whistle (89,903) by Randy from USA
I love that someone brought up a new topic. Favorite whistles. But I kind of feel like I'm over the whistle. Here's why. When MC gave an interview during the Emotions era she said she didn't use it as much as she could have because she doesn't want it to be a gimmick. If you pay attention though, as the voice started to fray, she's been highlighting it more and more as she's using it as her license to prove she's still able to sing well. Like I've said before a whistle register does not make a great singer. And now in order to prove she can sing she puts out these videos of her singing whistles. Or in the case of that Pepsi performance in 2006 she whistled through Vision of Love's mid section. So whenever anyone brings it up, I kinda roll my eyes. But y'all keep on celebrating it if it makes your day.

The Emotions outro whistles are so iconic. I did love in 1991 when she was in good form and replaced the laugh at the end with ultra super sonic high notes. And then there's that one performance from the Musix Box tour where she goes nuts on the second "inside" lol.

Re: Favourite whistle (89,893) (89,901) by Bill from the UK
Yes, agree about the hidden whistles. I remember freaking out when the whistles in the bridge of AIWFCIY were unveiled. Now I hear them everytime I play the song. And I forgot O Holy Night, that gives me goosebumps whenever I hear it.

Yup and currently top of the song of summer list. I'm laughing for the little tall guy and I'm repulsed at the same time.

It's of course "All In Your Mind". It's mind blowing. Take another look at her rehearsal before singing on the Saturday Night Live show. Wow.

Mariah releases an amazing album and it flops and Old Town Road is on its ninth consecutive week at #1? Are we living in the upside down or something? Someone let me know when things return to normal, until then I'll be living in the land of denial.

Re: Last pop album (89,886) (89,896) by B from USA
Why hasn't Mariah called up Drake for a collaboration? Do you think it's because the label is giving her a limited restrictive budget?

I didn't know Mariah had a new single out. It was late 1991 and 'Emotions' played on the radio. 1 whistle, 2 whistles, the bridge whistles and finally the outro whistles. I almost fell out of the car. Iconic.
