First of all she didn't dress up as Mariah, she dressed up as a contestant from shows like "The Bachelor", not any particular contestant but a made up one. Secondly, even if she had dressed up as Mariah, Mariah would find it funny since it wasn't done in a malicious manner or to make fun of her, Ellen often wears her fake boobs and persona to dress up as different celebrities like Sofia Vergara, a made up Kardashian JLo (while JLo was with her), Nicki Minaj and so on. These celebs that she dresses up as are usually also on her show while she is dressed as them and they find it hilarious too. Ellen also "dressed up" as Sofia Vergara with the dress ripped from behind to imitate the incident when Sofia dress tore off near her butt during an award show. And as for someone dressing up as Ellen, Kate McKinnon already did it on Ellen's show (Wednesday 31 October 2018; 17:31)

I think somebody should imitate Ellen and see how she likes it. All you need is a girl that can dress and look like a young millennial boy with beady eyes, unflattering short hair, terrible interviewing skills and no comedic ability whatsoever. But it does have a kind of big vocal moment in Mariah's now standard climax: sing or adlib the chorus an octave higher and sustain a note for a bit. And Mariah fails to reproduce this live everytime she "sings" it. So given that she supposedly only recorded this a couple of months ago, surely she can sing the climax like that again? At the moment I don't think there's a Dane soul alive that doesn't think heavy engineering is going on. I hope Caution gets a bit happier, because it starts off very slow and a bit morose and maintains a very slow soft temperament. (Wednesday 31 October 2018; 15:25)

Again, someone show me some good live vocal climaxes to WBT or FLAB or Bye Bye or We Stay In Love or #Beautiful or anything in the last ten years really. To be on The Voice is pretty cool but there is no evidence of Mariah actually having sung these tracks this way. Someone posted that Mariah sang well in the nineties and that's good enough. Maybe so. But it's a little uncomfortable watching someone "coach" aspiring singers without actually being able to demonstrate the techniques. Three guesses for why she doesn't do that? I agree she should be lauded for what she did in the past, but don't pretend like it's still there and you're hitting those whistle notes as easily as you did in 1991, because you're not. Stop the lies and deception and be honest with where you're at vocally, and that it came through a mix of a genuinely fragile and overworked voice and her own bad lifestyle choices. Her texture, low deep notes, whistles, high octives, layering, whispering, buttery full voice. There are some current singers that may have one or two of those characteristics, not one of them have all. That's why Mariah will always be known as the best vocalist along with Whitney. She has already stamped her legacy. One way or another her voice produced songs like ATYNAF and Til The End Of Time, Melt Away, to the euphoric Underneath The Stars and of course All I Want For Christmas and I can go on and on. I don't like the show (I no longer watch it) and she has been humiliated and nitpicked on that show so many times. I see no reason for her to go there, ever. She should stick to Kimmel, Fallon etc. Friendly hosts who don't bully her. I am glad she has not gone on Ellen either. I just have a bad feeling about Ellen recently and I'm kind of over her. Hardly ever, especially recently. She didn't in the carpool karaoke, she doesn't in interviews. It's been discussed ad nauseam. There was a whole back and forth about it on the board. Also, have you not been watching her concert videos? I figured you have most agree and have commented in a variety of ways that her voice hasn't been in good shape. This is one of her worst years vocally and she is only starting to sound better on her Asian leg of her tour. So if we all know she can't sing like she used to, hasn't sounded to great at all this year sans a few moments of brilliance, and hasn't done it in the past, why would she magically start singing perfectly now. If she struggles on stage, she's going to struggle at random. And we must have watched different shows. She gave some advice like telling the girl she wanted to hear more of her low notes because not everyone has that or the guy who struggled in the beginning when singing The Weeknds Earned It and she told him to use restraint or completed the 14 year old about her voice as nor her or their coach had any pointers they felt she needed. Her role was really pointless as she was never left alone to work with the contestants and their coaches were right there. I'd be rude to just take over or contradict the coach who has been working with them throughout the whole show. It was more of a ratings tactic for the show. And why wouldn't they say she is a vocal icon? One of the best voices alive. She never gets credit for what she has done vocally and finally every single person on that show revered her like she should always be revered instead of made out to be a diva. Just because she can't sing like she used to doesn't mean she should be stripped of being considered as one of the best who ever did it. No one, not even Mariah herself can compete with the vocals she delivered when she was during her prime. She should not only be recognized, but respected for the level of singing she brought to the table. Why should she be shunned for not vocally being what she once was. It doesn't take away for what she has already done and I'm confused why you are expecting something we know wasn't going to happen. We have all seen the concert footage this year. What she did do is drop the diva persona and presented herself as a humble icon and was able to slightly display her musicality. The show is helping her restore her image. Can't we at least celebrate people being able to see her for the musical genius that she is. There was not one "dahling" and the coaches loved and respected her. Why can't you? You never know when she might pass away. All big stars due and for once in a long time, she seems happy and safe. (Wednesday 31 October 2018; 07:40)

Regardless of what's caused the changes, I can't deny what I hear, nor will I dwell on it either. Some songs sound better than others, and hopefully there will once again be improvements. This doesn't take away from what once was, which, to me at least, was the most amazing and beautiful voice I've ever heard in my life. (Wednesday 31 October 2018; 00:13)
