Re: Christina Aguilera - Like I Do (feat. GoldLink) (82,720) (82,722) by Chicago Lamb from USA
I thought the track was fresh and inventive. I'd love if Mariah took some production risks like this.

Article: Is Mariah's Las Vegas residency headed for a flop? (82,721) by Fly Like A Lamb from Greece
Based on an article regarding complaints about the high ticket prices, this might be the reason sales are slow. But really, I dont think there is a problem, even if its like 100 for a sold out show, it won't be a big deal.

Christina Aguilera - Like I Do (feat. GoldLink) (82,720) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Let's be honest, any momentum for Christina's new album is pretty much dead now. Accelerate was a mess, Twice fell on deaf ears, and a Demi feature and a high profile performance wasn't enough for Fall in Line to make a dent. This new song will most likely follow suit, which is a shame, because it's the only taste of the album so far that most fans can really get behind. There's something very Mariah about how Christina approaches hip-hop these days: the simpler and sparser production, rap verses that seem to come out of nowhere and the relatively subdued vocals which limit showboating only towards the end of the track. Like I Do reminds me of Ciara's Goodies in that the memorable synth line - in Christina's case, a chirping meandering flute - is the (all caps) chorus, and the actual worded chorus is catchy but merely secondary. It won't be for everyone, but its chill yet swaggering throwback sound is the best thing yet to come out of this underwhelming album rollout. It's what Accelerate was supposed to be. This is an Anderson Paak production and he sings backup in the chorus really well.

Re: Christmas tickets (82,716) (82,719) by Tijl from Belgium
Hello Andrew, I do agree that it was a matter of security and insurance measurements. Unfortunately nothing was communicated to the fans. A small part from my "review" on Mariah's World: "I have to admit I hoped there would be some scenes on Mariah handling the situation in Belgium at the time of the attacks. Her Belgian concert was planned four days after on her birthday - sorry, her anniversary, but was abruptly cancelled without any feedback to the fans. Those moments of a legendary star dealing with the realities of the world outside of their own could have been the show's prerogative."
I guess there will be some lipsync but I feel our girl is in a good place and willing to give her all. However, if this concert gets cancelled hell will have no fury. Mainly because I will be sharing this experience with my best friend and she has never seen Mariah in concert. It's an experience dahling.

Re: Tickets (82,706) (82,718) by Sarah from Netherlands
Eventim is part of Mojo/LiveNation. Check who's organizing it, and get tickets there. The link will probably be up on Mariah's site. If not, go to the venue's website and click through there. Anywhere else will be ticket scalpers.

Thanks for the reply MusicfanJ. I just found out about this site as well. I'll have a look. I'm considering going to the Berlin concert actually.

Re: Christmas tickets (82,712) (82,716) by Andrew from UK
That concert should have gone ahead. I wish Mariah had stood up to this Islamist crap. I put it down to insurance companies perhaps removing cover due to raising of threat levels but this is merely conjecture. Anyway I am glad you get to go. Here's hoping she cuts the lip sync. I hope she drops O Holy Night from the setlist. And rides in on these reindeer those cue cards said she has. Ha.

That promo is brilliant haha crikey I can't stop laughing. She should pay for television advertising.

It wouldn't be a Mariah tour without you gloating about going somehow lmao well let me have a go at it: my friend is pretty senior at the O2 so am getting free tickets and possibly a free backstage meet. Put that in your hole and sit on it.

My BF got us great tickets for the show in Brussels. I still can not believe Mariah is coming back so soon. The Sweet Sweet Fantasy stop in Belgium was cancelled because of the terrorist attacks. Second time is a charm.

I agree with you, joke sarcasm or whatever, that is so odd. On a lighter note I would love to know what kind of dog Roc ordered.

Does Ru Paul think that if he mentions/references Mariah enough times on the show, she'll appear as a judge? One can dream.

Christmas tickets (82,708) by John john from UK
After missing 3 presale ticket attempts and 5 hours on general sale I finally got 2 decent tickets 3 rows from the front and a great price too. Very happy. I'm surprising my twin sister as she's never seen Mariah and is a huge fan. I told her it had sold out. She is gonna be so happy when I pick her up and surprise her. We are so close to Mimi. Hope all got tickets who wanted them.

Statute of limitations (82,707) by Ronnie from California
I just came across a video where the commentators made an interesting point. They were commenting on The Guardian interview, and mentioned that there have been many whispers about MC and Tommy Mottola. What I found interesting is that they claimed that the statute of limitations on the divorce are up. While I would only take this with a grain of salt since much of their information seemed misconstrued, it's still an interesting point to explore.
I have done some digging, but the statute of limitations is the time period in which legal action could be taken in regards to a manner. If their restriction was 20 years, this would be the first hear she could speak about the details with Mottola's hands tied. He has already tried to apoligize, saying that their relationship was "inapporopite" but maybe there is something darker going on. Keep in mind, that apology is before the Me Too movement, so the topic was more taboo. There is a possibility that this album may be very insightful about the crazy things that go down in Hollywood. She would know more than anyone since she was married to the elite.

Re: Luis Miguel La Serie (82,695) (82,705) by Eduardo from Mexico
No one really knows who she is yet, the actress and production haven't revealed it, so nothing is accurate till we watch the chapter, but she really looks more like Mariah than the other girls

Re: Slipping Away (82,683) (82,704) by Gloria from Hong Kong
If we could not add one more track to the already perfect album, then it must well be a strong candidate to replace Long Ago, they do sound alike and talk about fading love. But then, I'm just grateful Slipping Away got released (B side still counts), otherwise it could just end up nowhere. I love most of the MC catalogues, only a handful I can stand on repeat 24/7 (for real, day and night non-stop, I did it), I can proudly say this is one of them. Now I wonder if any of you have a song that you can handle a 24-hour loop. Emotions anyone?

Re: Skinny legend (82,700) (82,703) by Gloria from Hong Kong
From what I saw "skinny legend" is just an joke circulating among fans who are being sarcastic about weight obsessing media, yet true fans love her no matter how she looks or weighs. If you are interested in how it started, try Google. And I'm happy to see her back in confidence and that's certainly what makes the interview truly enjoyable and on point, I couldn't help with my grin while watching it, I agree it's one of the best in recent years.

Apart from Mariah's site and Live Nation, any other sites where you can buy a ticket from? I haven't found the European concerts neither on ticketmaster nor on twickets.

Re: Skinny legend (82,700) (82,701) by Licia from USA
I hate seeing that skinny legend mess. It annoys my soul. That should not be everyone's main priority. She may sound like crap in Vegas and on tour, but at least she's skinny. Lol I do agree with hoping the weight loss will help with her confidence as far as performing though.

Skinny legend (82,700) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
First off, Mariah's latest TV appearance on Kimmel was great. She was lucid, engaging, likable and best of all, fun, with just the right hint of diva. Yay to that. Now if you've been lurking in comments sections of various media sharing sites, blogs, as well as on official and fan-made Mariah-related accounts on social media, you'd probably find it just as amusing as I do to see sooooooo many comments (especially as of the past 3-4 months) along the lines of "skinny legend", "she's so thin I can't even see her", "skinny bish out to snatch y'alls faves wigs", etc. I mean a lot of it is so weight-centered, it's insane. This shows just how much people still appreciate physical appearance over anything. I ain't mad - Mariah is looking her best since the AI days, but I honestly don't believe she looks "skinny". To me that word is reserved for 90s Mariah and E=MC2-era Mariah. Now, she looks healthy and that's the best description. I don't know if her weight loss is gonna directly impact her singing in some way, but I feel like the newfound confidence in her current figure can help uplift her self-esteem and at least help her perform better than the stoic, passive, lazy "performer" we have gotten used to see for most of the 2010s. I hope she keeps this image up because she still has a lot of irreparable damage to recover from.

Re: New appearances and promos (82,696) (82,699) by Stacey from USA
I agree. Mariah seemed herself with Kimmel. She seemed "all there" if ya'all know what I mean. Alive. Healthy. Funny. So many good reasons why I'm so happy Stella is in the rear view mirror. This was her best interview in a long time. She seemed grounded.
