Re: Article: 10 Songs Mariah Carey should add to her Vegas set list (83,255) (83,257) by Licia from USA
I know it's hard to believe.

MIAM (83,256) by Gee from U.S.A. (New York City)
I think that she have stayed with the "Art of letting go" theme. Hopefully with the new album she focuses on the quality of music versus the quantity of music.

Wait a minute. You like a Mariah song?

One More Try? Please don't (83,252) (83,254) by Edward from USA
I agree. Mariah's version of "One More Try" sounded as if she had been holding her pee for three days before that studio session. I love "One More Try", and had always dreamed of listening to it in Mariah's voice, but people must be careful what they wish for. She should've definitely given it "Six More Tries". Now I just pretend it never happened, just like "Crapfinity", "Infamous", and "She Didn't'. As for the new album, I hope she comes up with a short 10-12 tracks album. MIAMTEC would've been a perfect 10-11 tracks album. Tracks I removed from the album: "Thirsty", "Super Creepy", "One More Try (suffering)", "Heavenly", "Money" and all the bonus tracks minus "The Art of Letting Go".

I like her version of One More Try (of course it will never top George's version ever) and I also enjoyed the one time she performed it. *shrugs*

One More Try live? please don't. That song is completely artificial on the album.

Yes and yes to Slipping Away, Beakdown, Anytime You Need a Friend (C&C Club Version), One More Try, and Loverboy. Of course if I had my way I'd sprinkle in a few CB tracks. lol They picked some good songs. Slipping Away and Breakdown top my list though.

Re: New single at iHeart festival? (83,246) (83,250) by Nikki from usa
Mariah stated she wasn't going to do any new songs, but if she did do a collab it would be a previous one.

Where Are You Christmas (83,249) by Nikki from usa
The song was written by Mariah as the lead writer. She was intending to sing it, but Mottola didn't want her singing for a rival company. She gave it to Faith, so it could be heard. Mariah did mention she was happy with Faith and said she did a good job.

These are rare gems that lambs would probably love to hear live. Especially Breakdown and Butterfly.

Re: New single at iHeart festival? (83,246) (83,247) by Dennis from Miami, FL
Judging by some of her recent interviews and Christmas tour, I am pretty sure there will be no new album or single this year. I doubt she will release anything before spring. Or it will be a new Christmas album. I'm sure her team will try to make AIWFCIY #1 this year.

New single at iHeart festival? (83,246) by T from USA
Some people think she will use iHeart Radio festival to introduce a new song but that is so un-Mariah to do. Imagine her dismay when she finds out crappy audio recordings from cell phones is the thing people hear first, because the program isn't live and doesn't air for a few weeks after the performance. If she wants to perform something new at iHeart she will indeed release the song long before the festival. I just don't see it happening at this point.

Hi everyone. I've been a long-time member. I lurk a lot, but sometimes post. Today felt like a good day for a change of avatars. Is anyone else feeling the "Breakdown" love?

Aww, thanks man I appreciate. I have been missing for a minute haven't I? Life gets in the way I guess, not as frequent as I used to be here when I was a teen. Lol. I also look forward to your posts as I love your energy and I always get a big grin everytime I read them. Lol. Would love to connect outside this board if you're interested. I heard you sing too. ternaugoh@gmail.com

Re: Random thought about "Where are You Christmas?" (83,229) (83,240) by loverboy from Canada
Definitely very Mariah-esque. It always reminded me of "Miss you most (at Christmas time)", especially the pre-chorus part.

Thanks for the reply Randy and for taking the time to list those performances for me. I'll certainly re-watch them all. I do have a question mark over big televised performances though as they are often subject to overdubbing the imperfections. But perhaps that's not fair of me to say that.

Can't nobody, can't nobody tell me nuttin' (83,234) by Andrew from UK
I don't know if this had been posted before but I just came across it and I think I'm going to use it for two reasons. First, to prove my point and to pitch that, as the years go by in the video, I would bet your anxiety levels steadily increase. But primarily: I am not sure I have ever heard Mariah sing anything from Cruise Control before. This. Is. Gold.

Re: A message for B (83,223) (83,233) by Andrew from UK
Lordy me. For you to call someone a liar is one of the most ridiculous things ever. To question the integrity of someone who has always been, at once, both polite and fair, when your posts are complete misrepresentations of the truth, drowning in conjecture, suffocating from lack of proper analysis and mired in feeling over fact, well, it's hilarious. It is one thing to be positive and empasise the good, it is another thing to deny or twist the negative. I remember being like you from about 1999 to 2008. Then I accepted reality and yet still spend my life listening to and talking about Mariah. See, you may be a different character to me, but denying the truth doesn't mean "hate". In fact, emphasising the truth and still remaining a fan surely means the complete opposite. To quote your favourite book: "The truth shall set you free."
