Re: I was wonderding (78,581) (78,582) by Licia from USA
You know that corny like fritos line was epic and classic Mariah. Probably took her months to write that line alone. It takes time to come up with something so great.

Betcha is one of Mariah's best songs in my opinion. I was listening to Memoirs the other day, which I rarely do (I tend to stay within the 90s), but realised I actually like every song on the album. Betcha's lyrics are brilliant, it's a real "visual" song where you can play the scenes unfolding in your mind as she sings the lines. But, "you're acting so corny like fritos" also is worthy of merit.

And following on from Migrate, we also need to bring to everyone's attention how E=MC2 had the total wrong choices as singles. That album's propulsion ended as soon as Bye Bye hit the shelves.

Respect for Lady Gaga that she's showing the person behind "the artist". I always knew that she's a vulnerable one, also her outfits and videos were often "screaming". I do believe Lady Gaga is a smart and nice person. I hope she gets well soon.

Wow, I'm so happy somebody here thinks like me about Migrate. I think this underrated song should be discussed more often here, it doesn't get enough credit or mentioned much. Another song that nobody talks about is "You Don't Know What To Do", I also think it should've been a single.

I watched Gaga's docu last weekend and it was cringe with the amount of crying and showing of emotion because there are cameras present. She made people around her feel uncomfortable - even her producer/friend Mark Ronson. There's one scene in particular where she went to visit her grandma to tell her she made her deceased aunt a song. Of course, as usual, Gaga was already crying while playing her grandma the song and she kept waiting for her grandma to cry too, but she didn't. She couldn't. Gaga's grandma (mom of her aunt Joanne) even advised her to "not to feel maudlin about Joanne's memory, because she passed on a long time ago".

Your comment "close your eyes, listen to her music and you can see how Mariah feels and thinks" is so true. It's the music and especially the lyrics that show the human behind the created diva persona. Sadly most of the people out there have no idea that she wrote those beautiful and meaningful songs. And I agree with the reality show stuff. I never liked those shows, it's mostly stupid, bad and cheap entertainment. MC doesn't need this tv-format. A real documentary in the style of "MTV/Around the world" special would be great.

At the end of the day both [reality series] are bs to me. Like you said, Mariah [focused hers] into a promo, everything looking perfect. And Gaga focused [more [on how] lonely she feels, but at the end, the show, the Superball flowers and [censored] when she [was] seeing some else already but she was [feeling] lonely but that [wasn't] in the show. All [on] tv is like movies, fiction, everything, every detail is made up to get impressions. Some will get your impressions and some will get mine. I'm not into [reality series] at all so I dont give a... [It's] true that I would like to see Mariah as a regular person but we see her [as a] product, her diva character, the singer, she'd being building this all her career, she [doesn't] share her [real] intimacy, she never did, she just [acts] for the rest of the world, being Mariah Carey, Mimi or whatever role she wants to play but never herself [because] if she gives that to all of us she [won't] have anything left, close your eyes, listen to her music and you can see how Mariah feels and thinks. It's fine to me with the reality [series] and all this bs as she still [releases] new music, people.

The crazy thing is I love the rap song she sampled, but that mess they put together for her album was out of line. That's one rap sample/collaborative moment I didn't need in my life. Lol.

Agrred, Mariah's performances are embarrassing. I'm a lamb so will always follow her, but her s**t s****s of late. Take a break or stop. SMH.

Honestly I don't know, this subject has been mentioned time and time again. I think the song is corny and terrible. I believe it would have charted well but poorly received by lambs.

I hope Mariah's next documentary is actually a documentary. I also hope it's formatted similarly to Five Foot Two. We don't need an eight episode docuseries. I hope she talks about writing and recording Butterfly and gives us insights into her creative process.

That's not what I said. I said I've always been able to understand what Mariah sings. Her enuciation has never been problem for me.

Has, Cardi is also note fun and authentic than icky Joseline. I don't think Black Chyna will gare ad well as Cardfi either. Blac would have to get lucky with just the right tone and ghost writers.

Janet is killin' it (78,563) by Malcolm from Asia
Janet is 51 and can still perform with enthusiasm and energy unlike our dearest Mariah who still trying to fit in with all the props but can't absorb all the energy in her background. 2016 was great, what the hell happened this year? She should get some rest and clear her mind, she's lost.

Today they were playing "Honey" in the shopping mall. But it's true around Christmas, Mariah is really loved and appreciated. Back then I had to borrow the "Merry Christmas" cd to a lot of friends. And they still love the Christmas album.

"Petals" is such a beautiful song. I love everthing about it. And how I the lyrics "Although that knife was shipping away at me, they turned their eyes away and went home to sleep." The song is like a poem. And when "Rainbow Interlude" follows it's so wonderful and perfect, like at the end everything will be fine. I miss that type of songs from Mariah. The "sunflower remix" that I just discovered too is even more deep. It's so haunting and special.

What a surprise? Mariah perfect (when there are many sentences impossible to understand) and other artists inperfect. Never thought you would have made that lie.
