NYE performance (80,080) by RibbonB from USA After seeing this year's lineup, I think Mimi will just be filler. I hope she does well, but it seems like they are going to just fold her in with the many other performers scheduled for the night. That might be better than assuming some big redo which could only be a chance for a big blow. She just needs to to one great performance of one great song. Her two step is iconic and was extra bouncy that night. Makes this past summer's two step that much more painful to watch. If she could just give one good Milly rock move I would faint. They had on an "expert" in sound engineering that was analysizing Mariah's performance frame by frame. This guy straight blamed DCP and stated the issue of Mariah's ear pieces not working was fixable in real time. I can't remember everything he said but he did speak about monitors, and frequencies. He also pointed out how the back up dancers ear pieces were working so Mariah's should have been reprogrammed on their frequency. He did say she would have experienced some feed back but at least she would have been able to hear. He also pointed out when Mariah pulled out her ear piece, the monitors should have been turned on. Anyways, yes I agree DCP needs to redeem themselves with big named acts in order to get them to perform live on their show however Mariah needs to redeem herself with the general public period. I don't think she would have received such a negative cruicifying backlash if she was having good live tv performances on a consistent basis. (Sunday 24 December 2017; 21:43)

Live from the Pearl Theater 2009 (80,065) by Licia from USA I was watching performances from YouTube. Is this from the Angel's Advocate tour? I saw performances of Hero, IWTKWLI, FLAB, and Honey that I posted. She sounded and looked great. That little move she did in the breakdown of Honey had me clutching my chest. Stella said all the right things to feed both Mimi's ego and her insecurities, while lining her own pockets and fame seeking were her real agenda, allegedly, seemingly. Lol. I just hope she has done some self reflection after her debacles. Dick Clark Productions need to redeem themselves (80,057) by Nikki from usa I think it's funny how this all backfired against them. DCP didn't need to win over the public's opinion - they needed to convince people in the business. I can't help but notice how they had Ryan out in September and October trying to convince people DCP had nothing to do with it. Those of us not in the business may not know or understand, but other musicians and singers would be able to tell if MC screwed up or if DCP did. My bet would be on DCP. I saw so many topics on Reddit from sound techs and musicians claiming that was definitely DCP's screw up. Furthermore, there's 3 protocols to take in such an event: 1. Fix the ear monitors by making sure they're on the proper frequency. If that doesn't work go to 2. Utilize the monitors - those would be speakers set up on stage that can blast music directly at the artist as a back up. Instead, Mariah had to ask for them to be turned on. Repeatedly. They never did. 3. Cut to a commercial, fix the problem, start from the top. Nothing was done. Usually, they announce their headliner at the end of November or early December. The fact it's being announced just before Christmas means they couldn't get anybody. They need to redeem themselves, so here we go. MC - this would be a grand opportunity to debut a new hit song.
