Re: We Belong Together remix (76,423) (76,424) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
That was intentional. She interpolated the song by The Deele the same way she used 2 lines from "If You Think you're lonely now" by Bobby Womack. Mariah is a genius like that with her samples and interpolations.

We Belong Together remix (76,423) by Ben from Sweden
In Spotify, by a coincidence, I found the same lyrics as in the official resung "We Belong Together Remix" in another song: "Two Occasions" by The Deele.

Re: Mariah has got to stop (76,399) (76,422) by Kay from Thailand
Mariah is not going to stop the antics anytime soon because she's too vain and her ego is too bloated. For more than half her life she's been told she's the greatest, the biggest selling, the voice etc etc., because she made amazing music that people responded to. Since that that kind of attention has declined over the last few years and the hits have dried up, she just creates her own reality, or her leeches keep her living in this bubble where all she hears are the yaaas queen and skinny legend bull.#% comments surrounding her trashy projects and image. And of course she's terrified of being called old and is trying desperately to stay relevant. If only she knew that sincerity, humility and using the amazing voice and songwriting skills she has is all that's needed to be regarded as the living legend she is while still remaining in the spotlight.

Re: The old Mariah (76,420) (76,421) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I noticed it too that after having the kids, her choices weren't good at all. You can think her children would've brought stability but I guess like Hilton said with the divorce and accident everthing went down. I hope the medication will stop, Michael Jackson had that horrible accident with the fire for a commercial and a lot of people said that's when the medical addiction started. Maybe it's a combination of medicine and some drinks to deal with all the pain. And we all know it hasn't helped anybody ever. Mariah was always so strong inside, one reason I admired her. But now she just seems very fragile and looks like she needs help.

The old Mariah (76,420) by T from USA
If Mariah didn't take American Idol in 2012, if she didn't fall in 2013, if she would've just released an album instead, none of this would be happening right now. This is all a result of some very bad decisions after having kids. She was so level headed and classy at one time and she could've taken that old spirit she had into motherhood. Her whole image could've been based on the next phase of her life and career. She would've been revered as a legend and she could've had the same popularity she used to have but now on a part time basis. It's too late. It's been five years of bad choices and bad press. Plus I'm not sure if she's not heavily medicated due to what happened to her shoulder. Or maybe she's just drinking away the pain.

She looks lost, sad and uncertain and just not looking well. I hope she cancels the tour and goes somewhere to help with whatever she's dealing with. It's heartbreaking to see all the leeches around her enjoying her lifestyle while not giving a shit about Mariah's well being.

Denial (76,418) by Lara from Middle East
The Mariah Carey we all fell in love with is gone. I don't if we - the fans - are in denial and still hoping to see the singer that used her voice for recognition or Miss Carey herself is in denial and still herself the 30 year skinny woman energetic and walking on heels like it's nothing. I feel sad when I read her news. It all went downhill since her injury then followed by her divorce. Something is wrong and I wish she would come clear about it.

Yes something is wrong since two years. (Or even a bit longer). There's something going on that worries me. Please Mariah start to take care of yourself. Nobody seems to do it.

Aretha / Diana / Anita / Barb[a]ra legacy vs Mariah's (76,416) by Sheila from United States
Mariah Carey's career over the last 8 years lacks direction. The bad vocals, the weight gain, the poor fashion choices, the tumble in heals, the hitting her head on the door on TMZ video. Bad holiday performances which are all done right in the public eye. We all know the public has a love/hate relationship with Mariah. Celine has managed to avoid this lane that Mariah travels in. Aretha/Diana/Anita/Barb[a]ra will all be deemed icons because they toned it down, focused on classy shows, vocals, and catered to there [sic] fans, they sing the songs/bsides and hit the public wants. They don't sing the same boring songs for the last 10 years. If they can't hit notes, they re-arrange the songs. Mariah is slowly destroying her legacy. She is a joke to the public at large. A joke. People now question if she could ever sing live.

Haiji funny that you mentioned "Spanish Guitar". Beautiful song and I thought the same when that song got played on the radio back then. Mariah's vocals on the song would be a dream. I love her latin influenced ballads so much. "My All", After tonight" and "I only wanted" are one of her best romance ballads. I wish Mariah would do another song like this.

Professionalism (76,414) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Where has Mariah's professionalism gone? It's sad to see how it doesn't bother her anymore that she is picking up big checks to perform in different places but not putting in any effort to sound decent or take care of her voice. If your heart is not into singing anymore then that's fine but don't make a commitment in exchange of money only to fall flat when it's your turn to deliver. And excuses like "oh it's just a small private event" doesn't cut it, a job is a job.

Re: New ad campaign (76,411) (76,413) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I checked out the products and they look pricey, so that confuses me even more that why she is banking below 150K from this and why did she take it up? This will probably get her as much exposure as "match.com" got her, that is none.

Kinda scary but something is wrong with Mariah in the videos I've seen, I don't know what it is. And it was beyond painful to see.

Re: New ad campaign (76,406) (76,411) by Lee TS from USA
Oh dear I remember this company. They're totally expensive and I returned their products thinking it was a scam. Remember when Mariah would always go, "We're not endorsing this." And here she goes doing everything besides the music. 150k is nothing to her, why go through all the trouble? I mean maybe if it gets her more exposure in the middle east or something. Good to stay busy but Stella is keeping her booked for all the wrong reasons.

My favorites as well, Susana. I've been dying to make a mash-up of all three, but I suck at those lol. Have you ever heard Toni Braxton's "Spanish Guitar"? I love that song and Toni as well, but I low key wished that song had been MC's. Can you imagine if that had really happened and MC's vocals were to be on it instead?

Andrew, as much as I don't like Stella, and as Nick said, Mariah manages Mariah. I don't blame Stella, but Mariah for going along with the craziness. As for Mariah being medicated, I do agree with you. Morgan said Mariah was bipolar, and even though I don't applaud him for putting her business out there, I believe he was telling the truth. I also believe the medication she takes has an effect on her weight.

Re: Mariah has got to stop (76,407) (76,408) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Too bad that she's willing to risk 27 years of goodwill of her brand for this. By the time she's done, she'll lose both her image and also a lot of money since Stella will definitely clean up some of that dough which she'll then use to buy a life time supply of cheap orange tan and hoochie mama outfits.

Re: Mariah has got to stop (76,400) (76,407) by Andrew from UK
Eddie Eddie Eddie, something occurred to me earlier: you think Stella is Mariah's endgame? As in, she has a retirement date in mind and she has hired Stella to milk as much money as she can for her before the retirement? It's just a supposition. But it would make sense, were it true.

New ad campaign (76,406) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Mariah will be heading to Israel soon where she'll be the new face of Premier Cosmetics. She is expected to shoot a campaign (both photos and videos) for the company as well. Good job Stella, another stone groove smash hit endorsement deal, just what we needed. *insert major eye roll* Seriously though is money really that tight in the Carey household that she's taking on these deals? I mean it's going to fetch her less than 150,000$, which is a lot for us but come on. JLo out there endorsing Louis Vuitton and Gucci while maintaining a steady position as the face of L'Oreal worldwide and MC is picking up deals from companies I've never even heard of.

Father's day: Roc and Monroe (76,405) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I just saw the sweet pics on instagram. Monroe looks so much like young Mariah. Nick must be very proud of them. Although they are a lovely family I hope MC will find true love again. She doesn't need the latest public stunts. But it's really nice that she shares these beautiful pics.

The Austria footage is just plain bad but Mariah's straining is not your or any other fan's fault regardless of your not wanting her to lip sing because Mariah still does her share of lipping.

Re: Mariah has got to stop (76,399) (76,402) by Andrew from UK
Randy, Mariah looks heavily medicated in the Austrian performance. She has chopped and frozen her face so much she can't emote in it, which may have something to do with it. And she is very overweight and trying to move around on stilettos, which may, also, have something to do with it. But she definitely looks medicated most of the time. Add in the obvious lip sync (seriously, she can't sing "Hero"? - "I like to sing Hero live because it's a pretty easy song to sing"), then it's just not very entertaining, is it? Hark back to Mariah throwing herself around a stage smiling and having fun, like she did in MSG or Hyde Park, and she certainly doesn't seem quite "with it". If she's not medicated then credit where credit is due - the woman has some balls. If she can stand on a stage and deliver a dire performance like that, use pre-record that blatantly and still bill for her fee, then she has some serious balls. She must reeeeeally want the money.

Latin moment (76,401) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Can Mariah jump on a track or make her own up beat sexy Spanish flavored song like "Despacito" and blow us away? That song is amazing and it's the perfect Spring-Summer anthem. Mariah please, do this for us.

Re: Mariah has got to stop (76,399) (76,400) by Edward from USA
Randy, I don't know if you see it, but the way things look and if they continue that way, Mariah is fast approaching Madonna's zone in terms of relevancy music wise. She has about 5 years to produce two albums. The success of those albums will greatly depend on whether she keeps with her recent shenanigans or make a 360 turn for the best. I never thought I would see "the elusive chateuce and reality TV" in the same sentence. Mariah put the elusive part of her life in the closet and now has become a media whore, and that's so sad. Such an incredible talent put to no use, and such an incredible catalog tarnished time and again with uninspired mediocre tracks. Mariah is not embracing the fact that she's getting older like the rest of us, so she's acting out like a woman going through a midlife crisis trying to desperately hold on to a distorted vision of what she used to be. I think she should produce one album and retire and safe herself the embarrassment. I feel like I don't know this woman anymore.
