Yeah I agree, they're all about jokes and shade, at least not disrespectful like TMZ. I recall an episode where she was called a hooked by one of the TMZ guys. I'm still looking for that clip but haven't had any luck finding it.

Mimi L, those sure are the key words. "This season" who knows, maybe Mariah and James did already have a commitment ceremony with the dress and that is another reason why MC wants that inconvenience fee, or JP jumped ship and left them with no season two storyline and that's why she feels he costed her money. But there is always Tanaka who is more than willing to go along with the show.

Oh yes, Darius was odd, at least he could have sung a Mariah song instead of a Diana Ross song. Lol. If I recall correctly, Dish Nation is all about jokes and shade.

You are welcome. Yeah, negative attention is what she seemed to want IMO. She could have gone for positive attention, but that was too much to ask. It's rather sad. I expect she will be getting lots of shade from Dish Nation and the Wendy Williams show. But the Angie Stone comment did make me chuckle watching the show at 11:30 at night. People in the tabloids and press like MC has been this past year, want to be and that is what some of her celeb associates might be tired of. There will be tons of shade for the next two months it seems.

Plot twist? Picture this (in Sophia's voice) lol what if the wedding dress scenes remain on the show, Hawaii will be part of the last episodes, the so-called Tanaka kiss, and then we find out she ended up marrying him in Hawaii. Next season will feature their future baby(ies). Then we get the spinoff "Carey the Tanaka".

Thank you RibbonB. I feel like all those being asked about her were somewhat shading her, it's like everyone is so tired of hearing about her personal life. I guarantee that if the question had anything to do with her music, then they'd all come to her defense, but instead it's all jokes and shade. And what was Darius M (Family Matters) trying to do though, he kinda came off like a perv lol. I watched Dish Nation last night and once again they brought Mimi up, talking about how she got dumped. All Brat said was "We don't get dumped, da'ling", and then stayed quiet, looking annoyed as Gary said "They keep getting tired of her", referring to the guys that have dated Mimi. Well, if attention and publicity is what M. wants, then she got it, but it ain't all good "honey".

The whole "On this season of Mariah's World" made me think there will probably be more of this show. I mean they couldn't possibly be shooting for the show now because it's airing in a couple of days. So maybe it's for season 2.

She also said it's not scripted. She can stop acting clueless. She knows damn well what she's doing along with Stella and the Bunim/Murray people. They're still shooting Mariah's World, as one of Bunim producer was in Maui. Expect the scripted Bryan-Mariah holding hands on the beach in Maui on Mariah's World. All I want to say to Mariah is take responsibility for your actions and stop shading the Karsadians. The Karashians had no choice to go the cheap route, you're a legend with many options. You went low boo.

Tanaka, Cruella and show (68,853)
by Mara from United States
| |
|
|
Why do I feel like there was filming in Hawaii and this too will be included in the "reality show"? Sorry that is what it is. This story or eyewitness account of witnessing M and B in such great detail on the beach just screamed Stella. We all knew this was coming and I had a feeling when she announced so many shows in Hawaii especially around Thanksgiving. All the pics of Mariah cooking and Stella's mother there and Mariah going grocery shopping in that awful outfit. I looked at those pics that Stella posted of everyone having such a good time and living the dream and whatever else she added to the pics and I couldn't help but think Mariah paid for all of these people and the tag alongs and she is paying Stella and the rest at the same time. No wonder Stella is living the dream. She is draining MC's bank too. She will never let MC go. She has it made. Plus she is a reality tv star now too along with her entire family. I wonder what Mottola thinks of all of this. I know he was controlling and MC was not happy with him and I'm glad she was able to gain her freedom and enjoy her success the way she wanted to. But this group of people just seem like leeches. I honestly think this reality show was Stella's master plan all along and honestly her only goal, as everything else was used as a storyline for this master plan. Tour, relationships, meet and greets, basically everything was used with the exception of Vegas as that was done already. Everything else was for this show. I wonder when this lovely idea came into play. Was it at a party with Ratner and Stella was there, maybe James too? Only my opinion, but with all that is going on in M's life right now, it leads me to see nothing else. All in all though, I do believe she is into Tanaka.

I know, Variety gave an interesting review, but why would she call her own show, or "life" lunacy? Hoping for the best. I don't watch any reality shows, but the reviews and tweets or rehash on entertainment shows keep me somewhat aware of them. I am sure there will be plenty of posts to read next week.

Hey if anything is real, then it is what it is. But we have seen them laying this scenario out before us, Mariah in a parody of herself as the Variety review says. With scripted drama and conflict. It is sad that she would so willingly do all of this and involve her children. But real or fake, it's worrisome to me that she would regress back to 2001 like scenarios with these two along for the ride like it's perfectly safe and "normal".

Nick was not living off Mariah's dime by a long shot. When he and Mariah traveled somewhere together, he was on the private plane. That's logistics. When he went somewhere, by himself, he traveled commercially. Now that they're divorced, and we know Nick can afford to fly private, he still, 9/10, flies commercial. That's what he prefers. If Mariah was willing to fly commercial, he probably would have had her along on a commercial flight but that's not Mariah. The NYC penthouse and Bahamas home were purchases that Mariah made before she and Nick were even married so I don't see how they figure into anything. The home he and Mariah owned in Cali they went half on. Nick owned his own home before he married Mariah, he also bought a home for his mom and grandparents. He bought the engagement ring he gave to Mariah. People started taking Nick seriously because they thought to themselves that if Mariah married him after 11 years of being single then he must have some appeal? It certainly couldn't have been many people. Let's not act like a great majority of the public takes Mariah seriously because they don't. If they didn't take her seriously, they wouldn't have taken Nick seriously. People started taking Nick seriously because he put in the hard work to make that happen. People will always acknowledge and respect hard work, even more so than any amount of talent someone displays. The only thing marrying Mariah gave Nick was more visibility, that's it. Everything else he had to work for. If he had no hard work in him, if he wasn't constantly trying to get to the next level, people would've continued to believe that he was a joke and question why Mariah married him. Also, Nick didn't have "a job" before he married Mariah. That's what Tanaka has. He had multiple careers. He was an actor, a writer, a producer, and an entrepreneur. Still is. Lastly, it's crazy to believe that Nick had nothing to lose in his relationship to Mariah. Tanaka has nothing to lose. He's a back-up dancer that most don't know unless they're diehard fans and even some of them didn't know who he was. Nick was the smaller celebrity when he got with Mariah but he was still a celebrity. Many people think a great many things about Mariah, good and bad, but will still give her career credit and props, even if it's just the 90's portion. They will still acknowledge that she's self-made and has a boat load of money, at that. She's an A-list celebrity, regardless. Nick didn't have that cushion. If his and Mariah's relationship went South too soon, or he was seen to be at fault in any big way, or if he wasn't on his A-game and trying to improve himself always, his image could've taken a serious beating and possibly never recovered. Nick didn't have everything to lose but he had a lot. Mariah had nothing to lose.

I wouldn't take that as him giving us a bad name, or any race for that matter. He is responsible for his own act and I can't even fully blame him because why would he give up the opportunity if Mariah is throwing money and herself at him for ratings? I mean dude has got to pay his bills right? It's like a job assignment for him. Real life acting if you please, if anything Mariah should be the one ashamed for going against everything she said she valued (privacy, talent, authenticity, no-drama, being genuine) and acting thirsty at this stage of her career where she stands to lose a lot, and taking her kids through this roller coaster ride with her.

In a recent interview she was asked if she watches the Kardashian show as it's on the same channel and she had this expression like you know she's about to throw some shade but she says something like she doesn't watch TV. Now rich of Mariah to still stay shading reality shows when she is essentially doing the same thing no matter how she tries to spin it.

I hope Mariah took the diva rehearsals and prep seriously and gives an amazing performance. Don't blow your chance by lipping or giving an underwhelming lifeless performance. Bring your A game and remind people of who you are and why they loved you.
