Moral of the story (67,884)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
Is that marriage and relationships take effort and compromise on both sides. M. is a diva, but she can't expect that men are going to do her bidding and be around her all the time, even when she has allegedly had bf's on the payroll she never got what she really wanted. I wish she would take time to work on herself and allow some transition periods for both herself and her children. And I have no doubt that entourages should not be a part of your family times. Mariah and Nick did seem to have some good family moments and they selectively shared pieces of their family time. Now, we are getting fed all manner of mess, that is probably not even real, but that makes her look in a bad light. She hates bad lighting, but seems to be basking in bad florescent reality show lighting for the past 12 months or so.

Re: Clear up rumors (67,882) (67,883)
by RibbonB from USA

Supposedly TMZ got the prenup Mariah was to sign with James. She did not sign, but is supposedly guaranteed her 50 million if they broke up. They were to have married in March 2016, even if it was just a fake/symbolic ceremony. Mariah did not sign this prenup, even though she kept complaining that Nick wouldn't sign their divorce papers. The irony is if she had signed the prenup, she would be entitled to that 50 million dollars. James has a history of supplying properties to his ex wives and ex girlfriends/fiances. In 1998 he left his then fiance a property and he left both ex wives with properties. The gag on Mariah is she sold the property that she and Nick bought together in Bel Air sometime in 2015 because she didn't like living in LA. She loved Nick and had his children, but she seems to like things to go her way and her not being in LA caused extended separations for her family. She agreed to live in LA this time so that James could be closer to his children, probably because he was paying her bills. Well now, she should probably just go back to NYC. She may have a cause to get some money from JP though, but she should have kept her business private, if the TMZ prenup is real.

Clear up rumors (67,882)
by Mara from United States

So the 50 million story, is that true or not or do we not know? The reason I'm asking is because it is out there on every news source and she is literally being dragged for it. People are calling her a gold digger and that is a nice word compared to some. I really feel if it is untrue that her "people" or person need to address this and right away. Enough with the getting people talking mind frame. This is not good for Mariah as people are unhappy with her diva like over the top behavior to begin with. A simple official statement from even Mariah herself or her spokesperson to finally address it and it will go forth to the other outlets. She needs to dispell this story if it is false, unless it's true. If it's true, then that is that. I just hate that this is overshadowing so much right now. Tomorrow she will be in Toronto and supposedly performing too so I'm excited about that. I just wish someone would clean up all this dirty laundry that has been coming out on a daily basis.

Selling her soul (67,879)
by Marissa from USA
| |
|
|
Mariah has sold her soul for attention at all costs. She's more committed to not being photographed by the left side of her face than she is to the morals, values and standards she had for herself for 20+ years. I'm disgusted by the things she is allowing to happen with her "professional" team, the press and her life in general. At least Whitney had the excuse of having a hard drug addiction for why she made so many bad decisions. What is Mariah's excuse for the circus of her life right now? This is someone who has money, fame, success, beauty, healthy kids and is still insisting on f****** up her reputation. At this point, the only difference between Mariah and a Kardashian is her ability to sing. Everything else from the excessively provocative outfits, staged TMZ moments, a trashy team and thirsty Instagram posts make her and Kim almost indistinguishable. I dare someone else to show anything about Mariah's conduct within the past year that makes her any better than any of them besides singing. I guess Kim should feel flattered that even a singer with 26 years experience and 200+ million records sold finds her so inspiring that she will downgrade herself just to follow in her footsteps. How cute. Spare me the scoldings because I don't care. The only way I could convince myself that Mariah's publicity moves lately have been classy or smart would be if I snorted a line.

Wow I can't believe people can be so cruel. And not just because it's MC, every other month they have the death hoax situations and it's just about the nastiest thing one can do. I don't get how it's funny or why people even bother doing this. Wonder how they'll feel if someone pulls the same prank on them using the name of one of their loved ones.

Unheard or heard, doesn't matter. Those vocals are heavenly. Mariah needs to record another uplifting anthem like ATYNAF again. Her voice was and still is amazing.

Martyn, thank you ever so much for posting those AYNAF vocals. Wow. That is my favourite song from Music Box and I've always wished for the fade out to carry on, the same with AIWFCIY. I got my wish with the latter and now I have with AYNAF. It sounds like a demo or rough version. Now I'm longing to hear all of MC's fade out songs extended. Particularly Melt Away as she starts hitting that sweet upper register as the song "melts away". Thanks so much, that ended on a high what was for me a pretty terrible day at work.

This sounds like what should have been the original version. We all know that Dreamlover was meant to sound more obscure, I'm sure that's the direction she first wanted to go in. But they pro'lly wanted a more pop sound, hence the overall overproduced/borderline schmaltzy quality of MusicBox. It fits the musical landscape of 93/94 but it's my least favorite album from Mariah, although I love, love, love Dreamlover, Hero (live, piano style is better), AYNAF, NTIK and the European bonustrack Everything Fades Away... which is one of her best songs ever IMO.

This email crap is so stupid. I need to see some receipts for these so-called emails. TMZ usually comes with the receipts. The fact that they don't have any, but are claiming they saw them, is side eye worthy. There could be some legalities there, if this stuff actually exists. Still, if you can't provide receipts, don't put out the tea. Mariah needs better people. I find it very difficult to believe that Packer told his team of lawyers to f*ck off when they're looking out for his best interests. Those love letters "emails" and these new ones make him sound like he's 5. He's not the brightest tool in the shed but damn... maybe he really is that dumb, though and now we see why, Scientology aside, he needs that other guy looking over his finances. But then, if he listened to that guy, then I can't see him not listening to his lawyers. Then, let's say this is real, Mariah why the hell would you want to - fake - date, let alone marry someone, petty enough to take back jewelry they gifted to you? The hell? It was a gift regardless of a note being sent with it or not. No matter which way you look at this situation, Mariah comes out looking foolish. She would've been a fool to "marry" him and a fool to engage in this media nonsense over him or ask for money. Then with Mariah's World coming out in December (I never understood why December) people are going to still be talking about this nonsense versus her music. Mariah get new and better people.
