So you can sing? Post a video then and show us what you got. Is Ariana Grande too much for you to handle?

She was too insecure in that performance. She did back off, but I don't think the whistles are lipped. Even if they're lipped, her whistles are one of the aspects of her voice that always improves over time. She can whistle. Come on, she still got the best control of whistle register in the industry. The "noises" are probably her avoiding notes, but then for me they're not noises, they're improvised staccato notes to decorate the song. Check out Always Be My Baby, that was the best performance in Macau. Nicely placed resonant belts and accurate improvisations. Her runs are slowly improving and her tone is the brightest it's been since 2010. That says a lot about her current vocal condition. And no, it's not lazy singing. If not hitting high notes all the time is called lazy singing, almost every singer will be called lazy. You need to have musicality to know where the notes fit. Also, avoiding higher notes is a wise move. As a singer, I can feel it if my voice will not be able to handle the upcoming high note I'm gonna hit, so to avoid cracking and shame, I gotta make out a melody out of thin air to compensate for the high note, be it a slightly lower note or a melismatic line or whatever. Lazy singing is if you lip an entire song or partially lip it and sings it half-assed in the live parts. It isn't wise to judge Macau based off one so-so performance. Plus why would you pick on her for her insecurity? Do you know how hard it is to know that your voice is waning? I lost a part of my range once and I literally panicked and did every single exercises and training to get back my former range. That's what Mariah's doing right now, and you'd be delusional not to notice her healthier, brighter tone, better belts (more balanced mix), and her vibrato is finally coming back (even in Vegas it's not as good). Stop picking her negatives. Instead, acknowledge her flaws and strengths all at once.

Andrew, go get help man. I'm not trying to star a lame "back and forth" thing. You just sound so unstable at times. You just like to rain on people's parade here. I wonder what you are in real life.

Mariah looked gorgeous in the interview. Her face is flawless. She looks radiant, at ease and happy. The necklace is finally worn with something that suits it. She looks a lot slimmer. The woman is getting ready for all the Christmas season attention she will get. Mariah I want new promo photos for MAC. Please no more of that 2008 shoot.

Are some people hearing a different version of Emotions in Macau than I am? Some minute flashes sound good - when she had the balls - but most of it is her backing off and sounding too frightened to sing. Which always ends with those off notes and missed phrases. Maybe there is promise, but it's lazy singing. It's like a pick 'n' mix of when she'll try, but, oh, for this part: an "ooh-oo" or a loud "eh". Why can't she just go for it, a song the song? It wouldn't sound half as bad as just making noise through it. And why lip-sync the whistle? She can't whistle anymore? Then don't choose Emotions. Also, Luke, Americans don't get sarcasm. It falls under "wit". But they do spell -isation with a "z". Which we don't. Me thinks you a spy. Love to the haters of "haters". I pray for you. Well I would if God existed. So, I pray to Mariah for you.

Travon If you felt personally attacked, apologies indeed. I think that people were genuinely saying that Bill's meaning was being misinterpreted. That was my intention. Not to infer that anyone here isn't intelligent. I often laugh in my posts (lol) to lighten the mood.

I remember Hero sold a lot back in 2008 in the [...] when the X-Factor finalists covered it, did Mariah make money out of it? I wish I knew, just to know she gets some justice. So anything is possible, Mariah needs to put money on the radio, she has plenty so, or get a hot a rare beat to turn attention, get a dream, they always have nice beats, maybe she is living the luxury life but I believe there's one more big song in her secrecy. I hate to see how these artists are getting all the glory with little efforts. I think it's a matter of perception.

I made A and B honor roll every year in [...] school and high school. I received a "A-" in English and an "A+" in writing composition. I also received a standard "A" in reading. Scored an average of 96% on all my essays. With that being said, I am well educated and I fully understand what sarcasm means. There is absolutely no way to determine what is sarcasm on an online post unless it is implied as such. Sarcasm is not the same as truth. The only way sarcasm could be perceived is if the writer implies their feelings into context or displays an indirect emotion related to what is being discussed. Bill's context was not implying sarcasm because he made a direct statement. This statement was then followed by a indirect question that carried zero meaning to what was being discussed. It might be sarcasm to you but everyone perceives things differently. That doesn't take away the meaning as to what I was saying. I love Adele and Mariah Carey. We need to respect this Mariah Carey post. That does not mean only talking about Adele either. So save the "I don't know sarcasm for someone else". I have a life and I am too educated to waste my time dealing with [censored] or [censored] individuals. I don't know why I even waste my time on this board with some of you. Anyway, I am going back to UKMIX. I am moving on. I fully expect some of you to respond and join your clicks/favored writers here but I won't respond back because it's a waste of my time. I am ending this conversation on my terms. Everyone have a wonderful day.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I shouldn't be so nervous when she is on American TV (no offense to anywhere else) where it matters. MC needs another viral moment like the AIWFCIY on Jimmy Fallon this year.

Bill shut up. No one cares about Adele. She isn't half the singer Mariah is. Go listen to "Loverboy" somewhere in the corner. Adele's "Hello" is boring to me. Same formula from her last album. Nothing special as far as Mariah goes. She sounded very good.

Adele - Can't Let Go (57,556)
by Lee TS from USA

Since we're kind of still on the Adele topic. I totally thought it was a reaching moment when lambs were starting the rumor mill of Adele possibly covering Can't Let Go on her album. But I just finished listening to The Lambily Meeting (guys check it out, all Mariah and all laughs) and they pointed out a cryptic tweet Mariah did a few weeks back. First of all, I think Mariah tweets and grams the most random things ever so I'm just like whatever most of the time. So anyway, Mariah tweeted this a couple of weeks ago, "Now playing Can't Let Go pon de studio circa 2015" and the way Dan explained it totally got me hopping on the bandwagon with Adele doing a cover. It probably isn't a cover but it was a funny moment. Lambs, go listen to the podcast. It's certainly part of my Mariah fix along with MCA.

I have a feeling that Ariana's album will not hit #1. Her popularity has declined steeply after the whole donut/I hate America issue. I don't wanna see her go down tho, after all she's quite talented. I wanna see her artistry bloom and see her detach from Mariah's shadow. Her team shouldn't have tagged Ariana along Mariah's MAC deal. Mariah's gonna outshine her so much.

Adele and Macau (57,553)
by Randy from USA

I have to admit, when I first heard Hello, I was instantly smitten and I do think she makes all the right moves. The lyric, vocal and video are perfection. But a lot of you wondered why MC can't do the same. She can do stripped down, lyric driven music if she wants to. She just doesn't enjoy being in that box. She said herself she's not one dimensional. Adele is one dimensional. However Adele sells records so that is what people like. MC makes music for herself because she used to make it for the public and was unhappy. MC knows what will sell but that no longer matters to her. As long as we get one stripped, lyric driven, introspective song like Languishing, Cry or Camouflage per album, I'm good. About the live Macau performances. Everyone knows how critical I have been of MC's "live" performances. She sounded very decent and it infuriates me she can't do this on American television or at award shows when it counts. She folds like a card table.

Ticket-sales of Christmas show (57,552)
by Philipp from Switzerland

Has anybody heard something about how the ticket sales of Mariah's Christmas show are going? I checked ticketmaster.com and it says that no tickets are available. So that could mean that they're all sold out and that she's doing an additional show on the 19th (I'm praying for that, because I arrive in New York on the 19th ).

Such a desperate move. I don't get why her team continues to get her career in Mariah's way. It is pretty clear that they did this because it would draw comparisons since they are both going to be highlights for the 2016 MAC calendar of collections. Ariana's new album was not getting as much press as Selena and Demi and Justin, so she goes back to her original move of riding on Mariah's coat tail. Her team needs to stop with the crap.

I really enjoyed her performances, particularly the intro to Emotions, WBT and ABMB. Humans are bot machines, and so to debate live performances as if that is the case, has never made sense to me. No disrespect intended toward anyone.
