AIWFCIY | greatest song of all time (102,033) by "MariahHater" from Hell
This song will continue to stand the test of time. There are a lot of holiday songs but not to the point of an eternal revival every occasion. This should really be the greatest song of all time because not all songs can stay like this, know what I mean? I hope that the charts system won't eradicate the holiday songs on the main charts as:

1. They are "songs" too. Whatever category holiday song or pop song or whatever song, it doesn't matter as it is still a song.

2. Everyone can listen to them even if it is not the holidays yet.

So to all the chart shenanigans lurking on this board, not to be bias of Mariah but Brenda, Burt, Michael B, and all the others who created Christmas classics that came before and after Mariah are legends for having songs revisited on a consistent manner yearly. Give them their rightful accolades.

Writing this long post as I fear that when the holiday songs dominate the all time charts, they will revamp and strip them off their rights.

I forgot Barbra Streisand. She's great too.

Does anyone know where the Lady Gaga retweet came from in Mariah's latest tweet? "I can't stop crying. We did it kids." It's also
from 2011 I believe.

Singer v. voice (102,030) by Brad from USA
I sense that Rolling Stone is drawing a distinct line between one's voice and the "range" of things that one's voice can do and how the singer has employed that "range" of things throughout their career. For example, James Taylor is not on said "200" list. His voice sounds nearly as pure today as it did 50 plus years ago. That said, there is a limit to the "range" of things his voice can do and how he employs his voice. Therefore, for this list, he is not on it. Please note that the use of the term "range" does not necessarily only mean hitting a high note - rather it is about inflection, effect, skill, subtly and the particular emotion conveyed. For Mariah, "range" in this sense is vast. One can look at a song like "Emotions" and compare it to "Subtle Invitation" and "We Belong Together" and "8th Grade" and "H.A.T.E.U." There is a "range" there of how the singer is using their voice in its effect and as an instrument to perform the job of the song itself. While I would generally agree that Celine Dion does not have such a "range" to the same degree as someone like Mariah, I do think she employs her "range" in a highly effective manner that likely should have placed her on said "200" list.

Yes, Céline should be at number 8. I even read on the german Yahoo site today that the people don't understand the list (that Celine Dion is missing). It's a big mistake.

Celine Dion should actually replace that number 8 Beyonce occupies, It's kinda [laughable] how they always try to have Beyonce sit among the greats and she just does not belong. Notable singers were missing, like was Dionne Warwick even there on the list?

Donna Summer is not comparable to Beyonce and Rihanna? Beyonce lifted the hook for "Naughty Girl" from "Love to Love You Baby". She and Rihanna would not have careers without the existence of Donna Summer, and they are both mediocre singers in comparison.

MC is crushing all types of records lately. Wouldn't it be nice if she released a new album this year that goes back to those soulful pop ballads of 90s?

It really is amazing. And it's exciting knowing that this Holiday season she just moved 4 weeks closer to eventually reclaiming her record of having the song with the most weeks atop the Hot 100, this time with a solo song.

Number 1 - cause for Celebration (102,019) by DK from USA
What a great run for Mariah - Number 1 on Billboard 100, continuing to break records; Songwriters Hall of Fame induction; Number 1 living artist on Rolling Stone's 200 Greatest Singers of All Time list. Congratulations MC.

P.S. I hear new music is coming in 2023 - certainly the public stage had been primed for what's to come.

Rolling Stone on the list: "In all cases, what mattered most to us was originality, influence, the depth of an artist's catalog, and the breadth of their musical legacy. A voice can be gorgeous like Mariah Carey's, rugged like Toots Hibbert's, understated like Willie Nelson's, slippery and sumptuous like D'Angelo's, or bracing like Bob Dylan's." And they also added: " Before you start scrolling (and commenting), keep in mind that this is the Greatest Singers list, not the Greatest Voices list. Talent is impressive; genius is transcendent."

Celine Dion is the only one who we should really be upset about, Donna is not even comparable to Beyonce and Rihanna has one of the most iconic and well known voices, her songs are played around the globe.

100 percent agree. Celine Dion has been singing her face off for decades, and Rolling Stone snubbing someone with such technical prowess is a travesty.

You know it's a travesty when they included Rihanna and leave Celine out. Linda Ronstadt and Barbra Streisand should be in the top 20. Going by their own rules, Celine should be in the top 10.

I've been thinking; Even my friends who don't vibe with Mariah (we all have those friends hahaha) know "Triumphant". In your opinion: What's Mariah's most popular un-famous song? I think more people know "Almost Home" then the Lambs realize.
