How can we forget Ms. Abdul dancing with a cat? I think Mariah's became the blueprint for many others because of her already established influence on pop, how deeply contrasted she and ODB were, the success of the song, and the timing of release. Fantasy remains one of my favorites to this day and I still love when I hear DJs play it. A timeless crowd pleaser. (Thursday 17 March 2022; 11:22)

Now what made Fantasy so groundbreaking was that MC was a pop diva that added a gutter rapper. Re: Question (99,912) (99,913) by The Real Deal from USA Actually, Mary J. did it in 1992 with a bunch of remixes from What's The 411, including Notorious BIG very first appearance on a single with "Real Love". Then in 1994, Madonna did it with a song called "I'd Rather Be Your Lover", initially featuring Tupac but then scratched and put on her "Bedtime Stories" album with Me'Shell NdegeOcello instead.
