Chicago Jersey (98,832)

I’m confused at the Chicago Jersey Mariah is seen wearing in the new Christmas video clip she posted. I know it looks like studio captures but still. Lol.

Mariah's videos (98,831)
by Lee from UK
| |
|
|
Here is my issue with almost all of Mariah's music videos. They are mostly recorded using double speed play back so that when it's slowed down to regular speed, the video looks like it's in slow motion but is actually in time with the track. I remember Mariah talking about this during the making of the Heartbreaker video and she has used this technique on most videos since. It is most noticeable when Mariah is singing along to runs and riffs as it never quite looks right.

Can you ask her if she will consider Dallas Austin and Walter Afanasieff? Also Drake as a feature. Would love it.

I guess I am MC's naughty list now for asking questions. Lol. However, she does listen to my collaboration tweets. I tweeted this year that she and Kirk Franklin should collaborate. And look what we have coming this Friday. Now if I can get her to work with Eric Roberson, Kenny Lattimore, Drakkar Wesley, and Madicin. Those four songwriters are about to give Kenny Lattimore his best album to date. I am sure they can do the same for MC.

Facebook post of "The Distance" lyric video (98,827)

OK, I'm going out on a limb here but we just mentioned Tanaka and wondered where he has been and randomly Mariah posted a lyric video to "The Distance" off Caution that was written about Tanaka. OK MC very out of the blue but so you. If you are trying to send us a message that all is well with Tanaka, message received, lol. That makes me happy. I think Mariah and Brian make a nice couple and he seems to have a great connection to Roc and Roe. I will never forget how he was there for her during that nightmare time and protected her on the remainder of the Lionel Ritchie tour away from Stealella. It was wonderful seeing just Brian and the kids in her entourage during the final leg of that tour while the snake was in LA and then the official word was out that she was no longer with her. Who knows, maybe I'm just reading too much into it, but her or her people have been known to visit this message board in the past. Anyhow, love you MC. Wish we had some Beacon shows but hopefully next year. Cannot wait for Fall In Love At Christmas to be released and to hear the ending, along with the new special. Maybe her next original Christmas song can be "Christmas In New York" which will forever be a moment I won't forget-witnessing her create such a beautiful improv song live on stage at the Beacon.

I love that she saw the opportunity as the "queen of Christmas " to announce "it's time". And no one else is doing what she does each year to liven up our season. I hope it's a whole new Christmas album that we get with original and classic songs. I would buy the shhh out of it. I'm super excited for the new song coming out on November 5th. I also wish for more MC30 surprises, The Rarities Part 2 and a brand new R&B/Pop album for 2022. We need the campy and fun Glitter movie on digital release with lots of bonus material. She looks and sounds amazing. Get ready lambs, sabe your coins, and stream, stream and stream. Love to you all.

Oh this is a nice surprise. New music. Sounds promising. Tonight I had dream about Mariah that she would release a new cd called "Kiss" lol. And today there is the news about this new song. Fantastic. Only 4 more days.

Fall in love at Christmas time (98,821)
by 123 from USA

I love love love the snippet. It sounds promising and the smidge of vocals I heard already surpass Cautions restrained vocals. Khalid sounds really good on the record and they blend really well together. I'm not even mad that it's a ballad. Doesn't sound like anything she's done but still r&b. I was dreading more Christmas stuff because all I want is a new album, greasy songs and vocals, a TEOM level push of her records (I really wish she'd spend her own money if the label doesn't want to give the proper budget) and some live singing. Two songs tops for each performance and sing everywhere - lol. One can dream right. Anyway excited for this new Christmas record.

I was sadly thinking the same thing. Not too sure what's going on with him, but he has zero online activity at all. Nothing on his personal pages or dance ones. At least that I have seen. I know he was working on some project and was making posts about something for a while, then it was ghosted. Someone said he was seen working along MC for an upcoming Apple special?

I love the Penny Ford song. I found her CD a long time ago. I wondered why MC wrote [the] song and she didn't put it on the debut. It would have fit perfectly right in on her debut.

Where she smashed the pumpkin? Very good. Really hoping 2022 delivers The Rarities 2. I found out that the Penny Ford track "I Lose Control" was written by Mariah and Narada Michael Walden for the debut. Narada appaz found the master tape where it was recorded, but MC didn't want it on the debut. I've been listening to Penny's version non-stop imaging those lush 1990 vocals performing it and I'm so desperate to hear it.

2022 is going to be huge for MC. We will have the highly anticipated release of MC16, MC30 continuation, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction ceremony on June 16th. The only other anticipated album release that might take some of the spotlight will be from Rihanna.

Vocal coach reactions (98,808)
by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
| |
|
|
I don't know if this guy has been referenced to before, but he is the absolute best vocal coach on YouTube, especially when it comes to Mariah. He is the "Mariah" of YouTube vocal coaching.
He is extremely articulate and detailed, he explains everything, every second of many live performances by Mariah, and all the performances he's watching are the definitive fan favourite performances. Some of the performances he is watching are dubbed, but he doesn't know that. Those reactions are still fun to watch, because the explanations he's giving us, can easily be translated to Mariah singing in the studio, because his vocal coaching seems to be very technical.
Here is one of the reaction videos. Enjoy.
