So the GayHuds, the Ariana Grindrs and the Mariah Fairies will combine to make one powerful movement?

Mariah is queen of blocking her own to number 1 with her own song. I hope that O Santa spends at least 1 week in BB Hot 100 at #1. "Where are Arianators?" I think that's the question now instead of "Where's Ari?"
I was not expecting AIWFCIY to be #2 this soon. I was actually "avoiding" the song but it has a life on its own. Hopefully it gives its little brother O Santa a chance to be #1.

Ari's fans are known for getting albums and singles to #1 by streaming alone (well, streaming and abysmal sales), and when you factor in the Lambily and JHud's fans, it seems like a no-brainer. I'm worried AIWFCIY will block it.

AIWFCIY #2 this week on the Hot 100 (96,880)

Which also begs the question: How many more years until Mariah collects 18 total weeks at #1 with AIWFCIY to get the record back from Old Town Road?

It has been on Spotify since it dropped. It won't be a problem to fans who would like to search for it and listen to it intently. However, a good chunk of listeners who put on Spotify as their background music and can't be bothered to made their own holiday playlists will tend to just go with the ones curated by Spotify, which Oh Santa! wasn't a part of until it was just added very recently, halfway through the tracking week. It does waste the overwhelming initial hype it got when during the first 48 hours following its release. New holiday singles are typically instantly added to that playlist the moment they drop.
Oh Santa! is Mariah's highest listened song upon release with over 700,000 plays in its first day, but if we factor in the fact that Ariana, a Spotify titan, features in it, and that Save The Day was listened to over 400,000 times in 24 hours, Oh Santa!'s stats are quite disappointing for possibly the most hyped holiday single ever.
Playlisting is key promotion for older artists that aren't huge on Spotify. Despite the Ari and JHud feature, the song is still a Mariah track that could benefit from the extra push Spotify could have provided. I've seen Ariana fans on social media basically bully Spotify into putting the song in their New Holiday Music playlist, but I'm hearing they haven't even put it in the New Music Friday playlist the day it dropped like all the other new releases do, which is one of their key playlists most listeners look forward to.
I remember Taylor's folklore could have done much better on Spotify when it was released, but it didn't due to the lack of inclusion of its tracks in Spotify's playlisting. Taylor's still hot commodity, though, so that didn't really matter much.

I'm confused. I'm listening to Oh Santa! on Spotify right now. Who cannot listen to it and why?
I must say this is the most exciting thing Mariah has done in a long time. I could have done without the hideous schoolyard chanting in this version because it ruins the smoothness and fluidity that the added vocals of Ariana and Jennifer bring. And I won't talk about Mariah's terrible look in the video. Or the hideous Microsoft PowerPoint 95 coverart.
I've listened to this song on Spotify about 50 times so far and I'm not bored of it at all. I love it. I hope she actually gets a Number 1 with this.

Is still trending on YouTube, and Ari's fans dominate Spotify, so there's a real chance Oh Santa could become Mariah's 20th #1.

The video is still racking up loads and loads of views. Nice.
I'm on YouTube about 70% of my daily online time and am quite fond of review/reaction content, so I'd like to think I have a good idea of how huge trending video moments are. I just can't recall the last time I ever saw another music video in recent memory that has inspired so many (possibly hundreds) of reaction videos.
So many small YouTubers, even those that have not covered any musical content in the past, are jumping on it to hopefully get their viewership, engagement and subscription numbers up.
The sheer amount of such content is just crazy - it's a rabbit hole so deep that the earliest reaction videos (that had to be re-uploaded several times last Saturday as they were always being taken down due to copyright issues for the slightest use of song audio) are now just left up there as if the system had given up stinging any channel that attempts to follow suit due to the demand.

Sadly we will never hear it, but that vocal trinity would be the best on earth. At least we have "When you believe". Can anyone imagine Mariah and Josh Groban? Maybe in the future for the duets album.

The special itself was the Apple exclusive. The single wasn't. Oh Santa really hasn't been added to their playlists. You have to search for it.

It's not a full week het though, so why would they be salty? Perhaps their [sic] just honoring the exclusivity. Anywho.

Yes dahling, the soundtrack is an exclusive for a week to [Apple] and I guess they are really salty for that. It didn't even get recommended on my release radar knowing damn well Mariah is my #1 most played artist.

I thought it was very cute. Mariah's dress was cute, but way too short. I wish they at least had matching colors. All three sounded great, but auto tuned or something. I thought their hip sway dance moves were cool, but all the jumping around going on around them mostly distracting. Overall, it was a solid performance.

Would've been trash. Whitney's voice was thrashed in 2010, Celine sounds like a boiling cat and Mimi would've done her pregnant best though.

This industry is so shady and all about politics since Mariah did an exclusive with Apple Music, Spotify are really salty and decided not to add the song to any major playlists. They didn't even highlight the single on Ariana page, since she has around 70 million monthly followers who listen to her, it would benefit the song greatly.
The song is doing amazing with pure sales and today is the day the song gets counted for radio. Let's hope for an Christmas miracle.
