She is more than that. She inspired an entire generation of singers. She is the queen our time. Ariana is reminiscent of that fact. Ariana Grande is one of the most streamed artists of all time and that's something Mariah lacks off. Why bother making such an "unnecessary" post? Yes, she pre-recorded the vocals. They are still 2020 vocals. Being a vocalist and a perfectionist, why wouldn't she do that? There's no reason not to under 2020 circumstances. Honestly, I've been incredibly impressed by her production skills this year. Better than what has ended up on some of her album cuts, in my opinion. It is Mariah's month. Let her have it. Enjoy, and go back to critiquing her every breath on January first. I can't wait for the special tomorrow. The Sleigh Ride snippet on her Twitter page is new vocals, no? Mariah put a lot of work into this, it is looking like her best Christmas special by far. Not a huge Jennifer/Ariana fan, but that's such a step up from duetting with Pat. And smart. Mariah seems so clear-headed this year. It is something to celebrate, at this point in her career. Kelly Clarkson (96,774) by T from USA Watching the 88th annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center and seeing Kelly Clarkson perform her new Christmas song has me wondering if it was supposed to be Oh Santa (ft. Kelly Clarkson & J-Hud)? I mean these things were planned last year shortly after appearing on the Voice with both girls. I wonder if Kelly doing her own Christmas projects meant she couldn't do it? I know it's a long shot and we'll never actually know the inner workings but Ariana seems so random and if the song was arranged with a powerful voice like Kelly's then it would make sense that she would have to fill in the spot with someone equally as good. It will be totally urban, maybe even more so than the 2010 version. Especially where Mariah's head is at in proving how black she is and if [Save the day] is any indication, all hope is lost. It perfectly captures that iconic moment in her life and you can see her genuinely enjoying every moment of it and giving it her all without becoming camera stiff and posed. She's slayed every time she's sang, from snippets of songs from TEOM to commemorate its anniversary to all of her live televised performances. I can't wait to watch her Apple Christmas special.
