All I Live For (95,995) by T from USA
The Rarities is a great collection and All I Live For is absolutely the best.

Guardian interview, reading between the lines (95,994) by Nicky from Jasmine's Sofa
So in the interview, Mariah said "If it was a relationship that mattered, it's in the book. If not, it didn't occur."

This has me thinking of Tanaka. From the beginning of their "relationship" I figured it was just for show, not really a relationship. She mentioned him in the acknowledgements of the book in a "good friend" kinda way, but nothing else. She chooses her words wisely and I think the statement above is applicable, it didn't occur. Whatever their professional arrangement is, his energy is so positive and it seems to be working for them.

P.S. Counting on one hand: TM, DJ, LM, NC...

Re: The Meaning of Mariah Carey (95,952) (95,993) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I started to read the memoir too. The "wayward child" chapter is quite soul-stirring. I was thinking the whole evening about some things. To listen to "Petals" will be hard the next time. But I'm excited to read more. I like that the songs are included with explainings. Very interesting.

Re: Memoir MIAs (95,990) (95,992) by Todd from Sydney, Australia
I think she dodged a bullet there, he's in the news in Australia at the moment for his involvement/knowledge of money laundering and criminal activity at his Australian casinos.

Re: The Guardian interview (95,983) (95,991) by Lady B from USA
It was so funny - she really seems relaxed and happy these days. It fills my heart as a fan.

I promise I'm not making this up as part of this conversation and to play off what Mariah said, but I'd forgotten all about James Packer until reading his name today.

The Rarities Japan (95,989) by Bobby A from United States
It came today. Wow. It was shipped from Japan last Thursday and I received it on Monday. That is fastest time that I have ever received my CD shipped from Japan. The packaging is just beautiful. It comes in a box holding the 2-disc set and a separate case for the Blu-ray concert disc. The only negative thing is that the Blu-ray case doesn't have a cover or credits for the concert production. The concert picture is beautiful and sound is too. An added bonus is a small The Rarities postcard.

Discography (95,987) by Orry from Germany
Hi there, I hope you're doing pretty well? I know your homepage already more then a decade and I am thankful for it. Especially I love the detailed info about MC's discography. I know that you stopped doing it. That's a huge pity.

Can you tell me where you have gotten all these information from? I would like to make it for the last records to complete my collection. Many thanks in advance and have a good day. Much love.

Re: Memoir MIAs (95,984) (95,986) by Malcolm from Asia
Yes very glad this happened. Especially her not mentioning James Packer when it would have been a pivotal moment in her life since they were engaged. It's just a testament that all of it was just a play and a result of her involvement with the wicked witch. It was really the darkest and cheapest moment in her career that deserves to be forgotten.

The Rarities (95,985) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
The Rarities is actually the best album Mariah has released in years. I was a bit doubtful before this project with her memoires and an album, but Mariah proved me wrong. Haven't read the book yet, waiting for it to arrive, but I have listened to The Rarities non stop, and I absolutely love the album. When Mariah join forces with every Mariah there is, it's just overwhelming, it's so good you just couldn't imagine.

Oh, how lovely it is to be a lamb these days, it just don't ever end.

Re: Memoir MIAs (95,980) (95,984) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
Imma take a page from her approach and not drop any names. I just love that she stuck to her guns and left out whoever did not contribute anything to the "meaning" of her life. Including them would have not only stirred up additional drama, it would also have, in a way, cheapened the final output.

The Guardian interview (95,983) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway
I absolutely loved the interview, laughed all through it, so fun.

Clam linguine (95,982) by Bill from the UK
One thing I wish Mariah's memoir had contained is her father's clam sauce linguine recipe. The description her anticipation for the meal when she was a little girl (the cheese incident) was mouth watering. I would love to recreate it to his specifications.

Stella. Thank God she didn't go there. The Nightmare Era should never ever be revisited.

Memoir MIAs (95,980) by Lady B from USA
My favorite diss was of the folks she didn't even bother to put in the book. Those who likely wanted the attention but were merely a blip in her life and not worth the page time.

Who were you happy to see not in the book?

They are on Mariah Network.

Re: The Rarities vinyl version (95,976) (95,978) by Bill from the UK
Sorry Bobby-A, I was thinking four sides rather than 4 LPs. You're right, it should be able to include the concert then.

Re: Walter A (95,969) (95,977) by Dennis from Miami, FL
I believe MC is upset that Walter has chosen working with Tommy instead of leaving Sony with her. At least that's what he told once in an interview.

Re: The Rarities vinyl version (95,975) (95,976) by Bill from the UK
Yes but the 4 LPs could just be the 15 tracks divided up as per the #1 to Crapfinity vinyl and it not include the concert?

It says a 4LP set on her website.

The Rarities - booklet scans (95,974) by ADAM from USA
Can someone please advise where we can see scans of each page of The Rarities artwork? Would love to see the captions and photo she chose for each song.

I Pray (95,973) by RibbonB from USA
Wow, Paul (I Pray) Robbins, sure has changed. She still sings great. I'd love to hear her update since Mimi wrote the song.

Re: One Night (95,970) (95,972) by Tevin from USA
I feel like Mariah could have released this back in the day and have TLC on the chorus singing with her and Left Eye could have had a rapping verse on it for a remix. What do you all think?

Re: Walter A (95,958) (95,971) by T from USA
I’m talking about a moment in the book that involved a knife. I don’t think Walter was present. Cory Rooney confirmed he was there with TM and one other man.
