Re: Yes, you do know her (62,425) (62,433) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
There were no contradictory stories on Wendy and Cohen. On Cohen she was asked "whose show would you rather go to" she said "Britney because she dances". She had to pick one, she made her choice. It was a hypothetical question, she didn't go to the shows yet. On Wendy she had already gone to the shows and said she didn't go to see Mariah because of her scheduling conflicts. So where is the contradiction? As for Nicki, I can agree with you that she didn't have to compliment her but then why not just plead the fifth? Andy asked her if she wants to plead the fifth on that question and she went on a rant about how one should remain "above the fray" and not be "déclassé". If she didn't feel like answering it she has a clear option, because either ways she didn't answer so just take the plead the fifth option. She goes on these unnecessary rants (like the one about Andy being cool) and then messes up. Just give straight answers and get done with it. The extra parts are what gets her into trouble nowadays. Look I love Mariah and I love how articulate she is when writing her lyrics but her interviews are mostly messy nowadays (I said mosty, not always). She will hide her face, fix her hair, say stuff that is not required, swing around on the chair and all that. She has the power to dictate what she will and will not discuss in an interview but her projection of the over the top diva has almost completely started overshadowing her incredible talent.

They say the show is a trainwreck, I love it (62,429) by Sheila from United States
Decked out in a tiny sparkling bodysuit laced with dozens of peekaboo cut-outs, Carey played her image to the hilt while introducing her new E. docu-series, Mariah's World, during NBC Universal’s presentation. She was carried to the Radio City Music Hall stage by bare-chested hunks while lying atop a plush purple chaise. "It was symbolic of what the show is about: voyeurism and extravagant behavior," said Mediahub svp Carrie Drinkwater. "It was perfect: a train-wreck you want to watch."

Most overrated song is "Don't forget about us". I can not stand this record, I think I Stay In Love is better.

For me it's Hero. I get why some fans can relate to the song and why they love it, but this particular song I could never relate to and it bores me (sorry not sorry lol). I wish Do Think Of Me had not been a B side and some push had been put behind that one. I love this song because it wasn't typical Mariah at that time. The song is sexy and sensual without being trashy.

Re: Media's response to WWHL (62,418) (62,426) by darrian liu from taiwan
I think that the fact "I don't know her" blew up is because the sexism in our society. Many believes that only few women are able to be on top. Therefore, everytime a new girl is rising to the top, the media will make out a feud between the newcomer and the established woman. For example, when Mariah first came out, there were a lot of feuds rumored between Whitney (the established one) and Mariah (the newcomer). The same thing came up with Madonna and Lady Gaga. JLo was a newcomer when Mariah said the quote. Mariah was already an established artist. The same happened with Mariah and Ariana. If Mariah encounters questions about JLo and others, she really should shut down the rumors and really give clarifying answers instead of answering with something that can potentially be portrayed as shady in the media.

Re: Yes, you do know her (62,396) (62,425) by Mirage_Nunez from America
Okay I can totally agree that it would've been much better if Mariah had just said "I know who she is, I don't know her personally" without elaborating too much, because the more she explained it did give Andy loop holes to come [...] with more follow up questions about it and she slightly got caught up. But in her defense she did in fact say "Ofcourse I know who she is", so atleast that part has been cleared up. However I disagree with you guys blaming Mariah for "reigniting" or "refusing to let go" of the feud. JLo was actually the one that decided to become very vocal about "the feud" in recent years and has certainly thrown shade with the: texting at her AMA performance and then responded by saying "I did watch most of it, it was a long performance", giving contradicting stories on Andy and Wendy about why she didn't see Mariah's Vegas show, and finally the "forgetful" comment. Mind you this is all after the fact of Mariah not mentioning her in years. Ms Lopez has not been too kind in recent years, so if anyone's to blame for this resurfacing there you have it. As for saying three nice things about Nicki, I'm sorry but I'm still so glad she dodged that question. American Idol producers may have manufactured and instigated the feud between them, but Nicki still took it beyond too far and said some really "low blow, bridge burning, can't take that back" type of things about Mariah and never apologized. She's just an awful person, with a revolting attitude and vulgar crass music; she doesn't deserve for MC the wreck her brain to give three compliments. I loathe when people like Nicki (and Eminem) are rewarded for their despicable behavior by the public. Individuals like them get to say whatever they want and are never held accountable. Now don't get me wrong I would be still delighted if all these feuds were put to rest, I want nothing more for the focus to be back on Mariah the artist as well. However I do believe many of you have allowed yourselves to be swayed by the "negative public's perception" of Mariah and speak of her in the same manner that people who blatantly hate her do.

Re: TMZ (62,421) (62,424) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I did see it. She pretended like she was checking her phone but would look up every now and then. Stella is really pushing this habit. I don't get why Mishka is in every single video/photo shot with Mariah. On Stella's Instagram there is even a picture of Mishka sitting on the chair Mariah sat on for Cohen's show. Then do you really think TMZ cares about the details of a Bar Mitzvah? Of course it has been fed to them by Stella to get her child known by the public. She even included pictures of what happened inside the party and Mishka being brought out on a chaise lounge like Mariah. These really makes me wonder what her agenda is for taking up Mariah as a client. They seem like a thirsty bunch, hungry for fame. I am waiting for the announcement of a spin off after Mariah's world "Mishka's World".

Wow seriously? This is exactly what we don't need right now. Thanks for the article Mara, this part "It was symbolic of what the show is about: voyeurism and extravagant behavior," said Mediahub svp Carrie Drinkwater. "It was perfect: a train-wreck you want to watch" is scaring me.

The most overrated MC song and what's better (62,422) by Marissa from USA
What do you all think is the most overrated MC song and what song do you find way more impressive in the same genre (ballad for ballad, upbeat song for upbeat song, etc.)? Although I always thought it was a nice song, WBT never grabbed me like that. Aside from watching MC perform it, I honestly listen to the whole song once a year max. I always preferred Don't Forget About Us.

Did you see the clip where she is being interviewed on the red carpet at the GLAAD awards and Mishka was standing in the background purposely without camera range and kept peering into the camera. She was looking like she wished she was being interviewed. I'm like, her friends are going to make fun of her with this clip when she gets older. She looks so thirsty.

It is no shock to me. The media is all about nitpicking. She's not stating anything she hasn't said before. The original question was about Beyonce/ The interviewer (at the time) turned it to JLo. Mariah said "I don't know her" as in, I don't know her well enough to feel comfortable making a comment". She was never saying I don't know who she is, at least that's not how I took it. Come on, that's just not true. "I don't know her" is a brief comment that took on a life of its own. For some reason people seem to love the idea of two women fighting. Doesn't make sense to me, but whatever. Am I this huge massive JLo fan? Nope. I like a few of her songs. A few of her movies are cute. I adore Selena and have been a fan of hers almost as long as MC, and I thought Jennifer did her best work playing Selena. She really honored her during the movie in a way that still gives me chills to this day. As a diehard Selena fan her commitment to the role meant a lot. Mariah and Selena are my two favorite female singers. Don't really follow Jennifer's career very closely, but to me it is just ridiculous to hate on someone under the guise of defending Mariah. Not saying anyone is a saint, because clearly everyone has flaws. But, the notion that people must feud to prove their Mariah fandom, is completely insane.

Serious artist (62,417) by DK from USA
I have watched a couple of MC's recent appearances (E. red carpet interview, Andy's WWL, etc) to notice that she is always concerned with the camera angles, combing her hair, etc. It's extremely difficult to take her seriously as an artist when the primary concern is "the look". For someone who has been in the business for such a long time, I would think she would be over such silly insecurities. I also wished she had people around her to block idiotic questions like Andy Cohen's (i.e. What do you think about JLo, Nicki, Madonna, like who gives a funk, since when did MC become Kathy Griffin on celeb comedic/shady commentaries?). I love MC's artistry, she is one of a kind, but the depth/personality is fading away. I hope she finds the time/space in her "roller-coaster" life to reconnect with her inner-self more. I hope her next musical project will reflect a reinvented artist. She is also at a global caliber where she can pull off a big original "united world/peace" song, a better/more catchy version of "There's Gotta Be A Way". I always imagined a video for "Heavenly/No Way Tired" with Mariah walking out on the streets joined by random strangers who are going through tough times, sorta an anthem for the masses. That would certainly mold her image for the better.

Re: Yes, you do know her (62,388) (62,416) by BIGGEST MC FAN from UNITED STATES
Mariah was asked to say three good things about Nicki and if she knows JLo and if she thinks she's a cool person. She wasn't asked if she likes them. She should have answered those questions without any shade and immaturity and she wouldn't have to be asked about it every time. It was really cringeworthy to see that she wouldn't let go of this feud years later while JLo and Nicki have moved on with their lives and careers. Mariah isn't known for being a good singer with good music anymore, she's known for her AIWFCIY 2014 performance and her diva/shady personality.

A real fan can have a negative opinion of Mariah (62,415) by BIGGEST MC FAN from UNITED STATES
Let's not turn this into a place where only good things can be said about Mariah. I love Mariah with all of my heart. Her music saved me when I was in the darkest places in my life. For people to say that I'm not a real fan because I don't agree with how she did certain things is insulting. I came here to discuss Mariah, not to sing her endless praise. I will praise her when it feels right and I will criticize her when I feel she could have done things better. Some of you guys need to stop crying "you're not a real fan". Did I criticize Mariah a lot on this site? Yes. But it was because some fans wouldn't even acknowledge what I was saying and were shutting me down. My criticism doesn't come from a place of bad intentions. Please stop being obnoxious fans that jump at people's throats when Mimi isn't praised to death.

I could not agree more with your post. I really so badly want to root for her but I feel like every promotional appearance and social media post is always drowned in pettiness and this over the top lavish lifestyle. It's like since she can't promote quality music or current music stats she gloats the world with her obnoxious lifestyle. I would not be surprised if the reason why she even dated James Packer in the first place because he's a billionaire and what better way to one up Nick Cannon and any other diva in the game than by bagging a billionaire. She seems completely lost in her excess lifestyle and has no friends outside of her manager and her managers teenage daughters. Very sad to watch another downfall of another music icon.

Magazine scans (62,412) by Billy from Greece
Now that Mariah Daily is defunct, does anybody have scans of some of the magazines that were featured in one of the websites section? I'm particularly interested in the Mirabella 1999 cover story. The article is available in Mariah Network as well, but I need the page numbers of the original magazine as well. Thank you in advance.

Jennifer hasn't been respected as an actress since the late 90's. The Blockbuster Awards are voted on by fans. I didn't research Minja but I haven't heard any of those songs.

Wow. The reason I hope dem babies will have minimal exposure on this show, is it seems very adult. And Mariah will be judged with memes etc. She should not want her kids exposed to the same judgement and pettiness from the general public.

Not letting go (62,408) by Edward from USA
Regardless of the docu-series being a hit or not, it's painful seeing a 46-year old grown as woman acting as if she were in high school. A simple "I know who she is, but I don't know her on a personal level" would've put the JLo situation to rest once and all. I really thought that after JLo had praised her many times, and after she was on Nick's radio show when he was still married to Mariah, that they were cool. But obviously Mariah is not interested in letting it go. The interview was mostly nice, but it's evident she definitely has made her career about this boob-inflated diva that sometimes I don't even recognize. She has definitely believed her own hype, and we all know what happens to those who do. Not matter how much we love her music, if people don't relate to her, her next album will sell way less than what MIAMTEC did. She's a musical genius, but this chair-spinning attitude has to go should she want to have some moderate success again.

Re: Yes, you do know her (62,404) (62,407) by Webmaster Eric from the Netherlands
I also did some research and I found out that Jennifer Lopez has won numerous awards as an actress. Here are a few of them: NCLR Bravo Award for "Money Train" (1995), ALMA Awards for "Selena" (1998) and "Out of Sight" (1999), Lone Star Film Award for "Selena" (1998), and Blockbuster Entertainment Award for "The Cell" (2001). So according to critics Jennifer is not considered one of the worst actresses, or else she wouldn't have won these awards (and I can't count the times she has been nominated). And you say "Anaconda" was Nicki Minaj's last hit. Also not true. "Only" (2014), "Hey Mama" (2015), "Truffle Butter" (2015) and "Down in the DM" (2016) were also Top 20 hits. Mariah's last Top 20 hits were "Obsessed" (2009) and "#Beautiful" (2013).
