Re: Mariah's voice returning (85,618) (85,645) by 90sMariah from SG I've watched videos of Mariah's shows in Manila and Tokyo and I was genuinely wondering if the pitch in the videos were altered because she sounded like a squeaky, high-pitched mess. But I don't think they were. It seems like her voice is stuck in that single pitch and tone. She no longer has the airy, agile and breathy medium/lows. At least in 97-2005 she still had it. She was also drinking a fair amount. It would explain her behavior with Packer, looking clueless at time, disoriented and anxious. It might explain that advertisement clip of Mariah's World where she looks exhausted and cries, she looked very down at times and might have had some episode, Mariah crying and the whole exhaustion segment was cut from the show and they didn't air it. I believe Stella didn't know how to handle her, or was taking advantage of her, she went on a huge spending vacation and all included Stella and her clan. Remember when she sang Honey on tv and she hardly could move after coming down the helicopter, she was energiless and even seemed like not being there. I have a fair amount of friends bipolar type I and II and the meds and moods affect immensely and all of them react in different ways. I think that other than the Glitter era, Stella made Mariah's circumstances too obvious by exposing her too much. Maybe that has always been the reason why Mariah private and personal life was always so hidden or controlled when it came to the way she was presented to the public and her interviews. I think her new team is aiming to keep this album on the charts for longer than the two months MIAM spent on the charts before disappearing. With You is climbing the R&B charts and Adult Contemporary charts. It's at #17 on the Adult Contemporary chart, #16 on the Adult R&B Songs chart, and #16 on the Hot R&B Songs chart. Biannual appreciation post for Triumphant (85,638) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter This is my 50th post (slightly exaggerated) to show my love and appreciation for Triumphant. Every time I go back and listen to that song, I love it and get chills. Triumphant remains one of Mariah's best songs, y'all can fight me over this. Honest to Lord if this isn't the modern hip hop thug life version of "Hero", I don't know what is (controversial line right there, I know). But seriously though this song is amazing. I know it flopped because it was a "lead turned buzz single" of a Mariah album after a long time and featured Mariah as only a hook/chorus girl, but it's still an amazing song. I actually understand it too. Although I don't think she has money issues, she has a lifestyle that she's grown accustomed to and in order to keep that lifestyle she's got to keep the money flowing somehow. Don't forget about The Greatest Showman (85,630) by Malcolm from Asia It's in fact Mariah vs. Michael vs. that movie's soundtrack. There's no doubt that the soundtrack will top the BB200, their music is so big and may become even bigger with this new release featuring Pink, Kelly Clarkson, and other musicians that is huge right now. But who knows, maybe Mariah's management have something up on their sleeves that will put Caution at #1. However, I will not get mad if Caution will not top the charts, I mean this era is a great era than her last 2 albums already, I will just be happy for her. (Monday 5 November 2018; 07:06)

Caution album (85,629) by Bobby A from United States And Lambs were worried that Caution was going to be another Liberation flop. Lol. I think not. I don't think we have anything to worry about. I am predicting another huge surprise is coming this week that is going to solidify those first week album sales and beat Buble's Love. Buble is the one who should be worried not MC. I am still hoping for a Target Exclusive. Target knows something but they ain't spilling the tea. I tweeted them last week and their response was to check back for updates. Really. Makes a lot of sense for a Target Exclusive for Christmas CD sales. TS had Reputation and that huge display last November in all Target stores. (Monday 5 November 2018; 06:01)

I have bipolar disorder and if anything, it only has an effect on my mood, thoughts and energy. I also meant to add that I think that MC's vocal change has to do with her nodules, not bipolar disorder. I am very proud of her because she's working through both. I don't think he'll get the #1 album but, let's hear it, it's going to the The Greatest Showman Reimagined album. The original has been on the chart for almost a year and with this remake by mainstream/popular artists, it's sure to hit #1. It's one of the popular movie soundtracks in decades since The Bodyguard and now A Star Is Born. In general, Mariah's sales haven't been big in early weeks. They usually dragged them out throughout weeks and months (in her peaks - 90s, mid 00s, and E=MC2 era). To piggy back on the topic of ageism and sexism, there's definitely some degree to it for sure. To me, TD and ANN sound as good as Halsey's Without Me yet haven't got any radio airplay. I'm not sure whether they have sent to radio stations. In my opinion, it's also a generation thing, CD and Mariah haven't seen much successes in over a decade. CD hasn't changed much in her music direction yet her last album (pretty solid) just sold over 1 million copies worldwide since 2013. So what happened to her 20+ millions fans? Fans that grew up with them are a bit older, probably had families and multiple kids. We have different priorities. Anyways, this era has been much better than the last 3 albums' releases and Mariah's longevity is going down in history regardless of her current vocal's ability. It sucks that Mariah allowed her team to air him out in that way after the NYE thing. She never spoke up and she still hasn't spoken up on his behalf. This could have ruined his career. Anyway both of them are in a better space and I'm glad that he managed to talk about this without being disrespectful to her. Lord knows I would not have been the better person. No No (85,625) by Licia from USA I finally listened to the whole song. I'm not really feeling it. Like With You it's not a bad song, but I'm just not latching on to it. I'm not in a rush to have the song until the album release. I'm glad that a majority of the you guys like it even though I think some of you only like the song because you feel it's shading Stella. This backs up what lambs, music industry (Patty) and media (Wendy) have publicly stated. While indisputably, Mariah has taken the brunt the of criticism for it. He blames all the mishaps of basically past recent years on her "messy" managment. And he keeps his integrity as an artist by not bashing Mariah, really at all. A must listen.
