I'm wondering if Stella is out of the picture but it's under the radar and nothing formally announced. She has been very silent about the tours and only posted something about one of the movies. I don't think her and Tanaka get along. Silly juvenile thing but noticed he does not follow her on IG. Found that a little odd.

Just finished watching a bunch of videos on YouTube. This is great. She looks alive, sober and happy. She's walking on her own and thank God no awful dancers. Let's hope she keeps it up.

Mariah was so inspiring, fabulous and looking beyond beautiful. It was the best show I have ever seen her perform. So simple, no dancers, just her, the voice I could go on but I was just so impressed. And again she just looked stunning. What's going on with Stella? Is she out of the picture? Oops I forgot to add My All to the setlist.

Every time you post I have to watch you once again being told to "[censored] off, Jamie." Really cracks me up. I'm a little in awe you had the bollocks to do it, tbh. So, the Rainbow tour wasn't a disaster. But compared to the previous tours I think people were expecting something a little slicker and more professional. One of Mariah's issues is that she runs away with her own ideas and I don't think she realises that some demographics won't buy into them. I went with my two older brothers who cringed at the boxing match and VTs and the faux tears during Petals. They stopped liking Mariah after that tour. With many other things Mariah doesn't consider to whom she needs to appeal. A cringe example would be the video for CTTA which killed the song before it even had a chance. Further, titles such as Memoirs of a Perfectly Pretty Princess etc. embarrass a lot of people and they don't want to be a part of it. She can't have a comeback with only gays and girls buying into her campness. She needs straight men to buy into her, also. The Emancipation of Mimi allowed for that. The Rainbow tour did not.

Wow. What a complete different everything from the VH1 honors "performance". She oozed confidence, she was in good voice, her ensembles were on point and she MOVED. She actually looked happy to be there and it came through in everything. She was not stiff and wasn't afraid to attempting notes, despite a crack in her voice here and there. The imperfections were not even a thing because she kept going and looked every bit the legend she is. She was classy and skipped bodysuits and she just was a complete transformation. She looked nothing like the person on the couch with the GMB interview two weeks ago. I think we are in for a great Christmas season and she is ready. Was anyone at the show? I was going to go and seeing that it was rather a short set list, I still wish I made it. I saw a clip where she said a few things before randomly singing a line of "we are lambily", she thanks her fans for being there for her through the good and bad and always being there for her. She goes on to say that she will always be right there for us and will always be our friend. Such beautiful words and I even got teary watching it as I have always felt MC was just like a best friend with her music being medicine for my soul all throughout life. Very proud of MC last night.

The outfits were classy and fit her very well. She was confident, she sounded good and the audience looked like they enjoyed themselves. Every time the world tries to count our girl out she comes out fighting and eventually claims victory. Keep doing what you do Mariah because you still have people who love you and want you to continue to win myself included.

As we near Christmas time, Mariah seems to gain in power. She sounded really good, tone is really bright and healthy. Her voice also sounds a tad bit more agile than the past few months, and she looks like an absolute angel. Excited for The Star (song sounds really really promising) and her upcoming tour.

Looking at some of the videos from this event now. I had forgotten all about it. She sounded good and looked nice. I thoroughly enjoyed the the Thanx For Nothin performance. One of my favorites from E=MC. Wasn't expecting her to deviate too much from the normal set list so this was a nice surprise for me.

I personally really enjoyed it, as an excited 21 year old I have very fond memories of going to see that tour. In those days people didn’t scrutinise things as much, it was what it was, and as a fan I was happy seeing my idol.

Are we now destroying the Rainbow tour as well? No wonder Mariah's got insecurity issues if she's reading this. Will some of you Lambs ever be happy?

The first time I saw Mariah live in concert was on the first date of the Rainbow tour in Antwerp on February 14th 1999. (God, I am getting old.) I was very very excited to see my idol live for the very first time. Unfortunately it was a bit of a mess to be honoust. But because of my excitement and unbiased age I enjoyed every minute. She was late, about two hours late and the show schlepd on forever. The dress changes took forever and I had to leave early to make it home on time (public transport doesn't care for Mimi's schedule) so I missed the performance of Honey which remains an all time favorite. Years later I attended the Charmbracelet tour in Rotterdam. That show was bloody amazing. A shame it was never released on dvd.

Check out this remix if you don't know it yet, it's amazing. It's an upbeat dance medley of Make It Happen, Emotions and Someday. I love it. Some of those adlibs in Emotions I had never heard before.

Yasss, the Rainbow tour was a bit theatrical, lol. It was the very first time I saw Mariah in concert. She did like 5 stops in Cali so I saw her in San Jose. Mariah had her moments vocally. Especially when she sang Petals and Hero. Sorry, I quite enjoyed the boxing match she had with Pamela Anderson. I guess Bianca had more important things to do.

There's no actual link there. Where's this review? However, I saw Mariah in London for the first time on the Rainbow tour (clearly not pushing it, like Bill), a year after seeing Whitney cracking it up on stage, in fact. The Rainbow tour was some sort of theatrical joke unbefitting a star of Mariah's calibre. I remember watching it wondering how I didn't get to see something akin to the Daydream tour. My brothers took me. Because I made them. A boxing match? Backing track half the volume of the live vocals? Live vocals strained to remain within one octave? Even they said it was an unprofessional mess. Rainbow was an album with PR that befitted the music scene at that time. The tour was shite. Whitney's My Love Is Your Love tour put the Rainbow tour to shame. All we saw was a silly girl on stage trying to duoe everyone. Thankfully, her tours went back to being less self indulgent after that.

Like Billy said this is from 2008. I really enjoyed this performance because I don't think she has ever performed this song live (correct me if I'm wrong and point me to where I can see these performances lol). This is one of my favorite songs from the Christmas album. Such a classic and she brought new life to the song. Before her remake I hadn't really listened to the song since I heard it on the movie Gremlins from the 80's.
