A No No No (85,563) by Randy from USA
I finally listened to it. There's a lot going on in my personal life right now. It sounds amazing. My tastes are a bit different than you all: I like Bye Bye more than Migrate, I like MOAIA more than MIAMTEC and I think the best song MC has ever written is RTD. I do agree that this should have been the first single with a hot video with a Lil Kim appearance. I do love GTFO but they killed it before it had a chance to fly, calling it a buzz single. And then they had the nerve to release With You as the first single when the song is as boring as white wall paper with white carpet in the waiting room of a doctor's office. You all say this era is being handled perfectly but A No No is undeniable so again why is it not the first first single? And why is the fourth song released before the album? We've heard half the album practically.

Re: Waiting (85,538) (85,562) by Andrew from UK
Already said, it's a yes yes. This should've been the first single. It's catchy, it's fun. It's like ABMB meets TMB. The rap part doesn't feel like an add on and there's no histrionics I may doubt. It's a yes yes.

It's a Mariah fan page. And you only ever post about me. Keep readin', sweetheart.

A No No impact (85,559) by Jono from USA
The song on her YouTube channel already has a 260k views in 36 hours as of typing this. In comparison, GTFO has 333k in 1 month, and With You has 532k after 3 weeks. Granted those two have separate music videos, but the songs weren't taking off like A No No has. Mariah needs to pull a Shake It Off and demand this be the next single because the response has been overwhelmingly positive. This song has the legs to actually carry/promote the album for a few weeks, before the general public flocks to her Christmas songs and forget about Caution come December.

Barbra - "Walls" (85,558) by Billy from Greece
Barbra's new album is truly special. Really beautiful. I'm glad it's out this week and not competing with Mariah. Hopefully both will debut at number one.

A No No's references (85,557) by Edouard from France
I love the "Ed" references, because my name is Edouard.

Caution album (85,556) by Bobby A from United States
I can't believe only 10 tracks. Surely there is a deluxe edition or Caution Part 2 coming when the tour kicks off. Just sounds like her team has something else planned next year.

Caution album- Japanese edition (85,555) by Bobby A from United States
Does anybody have other websites that they use to order Japanese edition CDs other than CD Universe and HMV? I want to preorder mine today.

I guess she just likes the attention. And besides, she doesn't even go here.

Article: Mariah Carey makes "a no no" for real in her new single (85,553) by Matthew from USA
I consider myself more than just a casual lamb and even I didn't get the Mean Girl's reference. Please don't revoke my membership. In any case, I think he's right. Outside of hardcore fans, that word is going to stick out unpleasantly for older or more educated listeners. And the whole nostalgia of the track seems to indicate that's who this is for. If this is intended as a single, she can probably salvage it by replacing the second verse with a rapper. Then again, the younger crowd might not know about that word, so maybe it won't matter.

Isn't "A No No" the JD collaboration?

Do you not get "Cruise Control" vibes from it too though?

Re: X-Girlfriend (85,544) (85,550) by Matini from United States
I don't think it does either. I was confused when other lambs compared it to XG. I don't hear it at all.

Or Wreckless. Or she could purposely, inaccurately name it "I could care less".

Re: X-Girlfriend (85,544) (85,548) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
I feel like those who think the two songs are similar are actually referring to the overall vibe especially the rap-singing, punchy instrumentation, background vocals and skittering beats rather than the melody or chord progression. On another note, the way the Gilligan Island reference is sung recalls the verses on Touch My Body. I therefore derive the equation:

Shake It Off + No Scrubs + 1999 urban pop + X-Girlfriend + every other song that has sampled Crush On You + Heartbreaker + Touch My Body = A No No

This therefore is a very Rainbow track topped off with a bit of TEOM and E=MC2 gloss.

It seems like you want him to say something crappy to you. Why even make a post directed at him? I just don't get it. SMH.

Article: Mariah Carey makes "a no no" for real in her new single (85,546) by this_is_qhm from the Philippines
The author obviously doesn't know about Mariah's obsession with Mean Girls. Mimi is clearly just channeling her inner mean girl not only in this song, but this entire era. All the delicious, epic shade on A No No? GTFO? Vulgariah in full force? All in an album called Caution? The theme is loud and clear and this reference is just in keeping with that.

Re: Abandon? (85,532) (85,545) by T from USA
Would be very smart as TEOM needed Charmbracelet to set it up in terms of reintroducing Mimi. Caution could be the album that sets up a banger of a summer album. I can't believe she only wrote 10 songs and none with JD. The only question is will her schedule allow another album so quick, or will she be motivated to work her but off to make such a quick turn around?

X-Girlfriend (85,544) by Myles from CT, USA
I can't be the only one who thinks A No No sounds nothing like X-Girlfriend?

Re: So far (85,514) (85,542) by Licia from USA
Lol I was already like that, but those songs made it worse. Humming GTFO at work is at an all time high.

I thought about the same thing.

Kandi Burruss (85,540) by Nicole from US
Such a coincidence. Before A No No even got leaked, Kandi Burruss who co-wrote Mariah's X-Girlfriend, posted a throwback picture on instragram with Mimi and Mama Joyce, her mom. Pretty much A No No sounds like X-Girlfriend and then No Scrubs that Kandi also wrote.

Yes I was definitely hearing No Scrubs. A mash up is needed.
