He was there looking like one of her children. Don't hurt me Special K. Lol. Wait I better stop joking about him before the Save Banaka Tanaka brigade gets me.

Lol, has it really got to the stage where we now praise the fact that Mariah managed to walked a few yards unaided? What has the world come to? She lipped everything and GTFO was a mess. Standard.

Guys have to comment on this, have genuinely viewed this board from afar for a long time. Genuinely agreeing with Andrew's comments (even though I didn't necessarily want to) but having just watched the iHeart performance I am blown away. MC sounded more confident focused and in control than I've seen for years and it made me so proud to be a fan all over again. I've been waiting on a performance like that for what seems like forever. She delivered and I am so proud. And whoever mentioned about crossing ponds, please don't. We are happy to keep the distance absolutely well done MC.

They play ABMB a lot, other than and AIWFC, nothing else really. I have to listen to R&B or Urban stations to hear other songs. Surprisingly though when YME came out they played that quite a bit for a month even though it was a slow ballad and not a hit.

iHeart (83,939) by Randy from USA
So let me start with the positives. She looked amazing and she actually walked without anyone holding her hand. On Always Be My Baby there was a confidence that wasn't there for the rest of the performance. It's almost as if she had an out of body experience for that moment. Ok the negatives, the usual lipping and she sounds bad guys on certain parts. This isn't about her not being able to hit high full voice belts, this is about quality of sound and there were parts of the verses to It's Like That and Emotions where she sounded bad. And leave your ears alone MC. It's not your ear monitor that causes you to sound bad. And someone on here had the nerve to say she was nervous. She's been performing for 28 years in front of people. When will the jitters end?

Thank you. I get so frustrated by this individual that my potty mouth replies never get posted. Thank God I have no desire to go to his side of the pond. If we ever met he wouldn't walk away looking so perty.

I liked it. There's huge improvement. I think she was out of breath because of the corset under her mini dress. I liked the second part when she wore her coat. I think she might have loosened the corset and that's why she was more at ease to walk around and less out of breath.

Re: Voice question (83,910) (83,935) by Terna from Nigeria
That would be her falsetto kinda like how Maxwell sings "This Woman's Work". It's a singing style heavily used by R&B singers sometimes to create a certain vibe and it works perfectly for this song. Hearing her sing in this voice is reminiscent of the "Charmbracelet " album, but a much cleaner less airy sound than then.

I liked some parts of her live performance. It's Like That sounded confident, with attitude. I liked Always Be My Baby and We Belong Together as well. The rest is very poor, in my opinion. Restrained vocals and it was obvious she could've done better, she didn't move, neither walk through the stage. She needs to go to a vocal coach. She still has a lot of potential and can give strong vocals, but she relies on her prerecorded and back up tracks instead of rearranging her songs in order to sing them 100% live.

If they keep talking about all her diva moments, the only person to blame is Mariah herself.

She was nervous. What is the point of analysing if you miss that?

iHeartRadio performance (83,930) by JC from UK
Ummmm. It was okay for Mariah's standards. I watched the live stream and thought she looked great and confident. She didn't lip much of the whole performance and actually looked like she was trying. GTFO was a shambles. The only major fail for me - that I felt sad because I know she's been killing it recently, was her Emotions intro. She mustered up the courage to do it in front of a live audience that wasn't exclusively her fans and yet, her voice didn't want to come out and play. On another note, why is it that suddenly her live mic feed is barely there and her lipping vocals are 100% loud? It used to be the other way around. I say this after seeing the fan footage of the performance where you can't even hear her voice. Question for US people - does iHeart even play MC? Like ever? Other than AIWFCIY of course.

Re: iHeart (83,924) (83,929) by Shezz from Pk
She sounded ok - struggled quite a bit poor girl. But it wasn't a trainwreck or anything of the sort - only the discerning lambs will be unhappy - casual listeners have given her good reviews. I remember her tone and agility had gotten good again during the Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour. She was visibly partying much more then with the Bollocks and the dancers. She seems to be getting her act straight(er) now - wonder why her voice is not improving. She did sound out of breath and looked nervous like she always does in major performances where people haven't come just to hear her. Looked great though and walked unassisted. Silver linings.

Re: iHeart (83,924) (83,928) by Licia from USA
I like every song performance except for GTFO and ABMB. ILT was my favorite even though you could tell the lipped parts, but the parts that she did sing was the best vocally for me. All in all she did ok.

Andrew (83,927) by Ryan from USA
Andrew, first off she sounded and looked fantastic. I have read many of your posts. All you do is complain about the state Mariah is in. I think it's time for you to find an artist that fulfill whatever needs you have to feel more like a complete man. I am not sure why you keep coming here if all she does is disappoint you. I've never read such hateful comments. They are not even constructive. I feel bad for the people in your life as I'm sure they don't live up to your high expectations. Sad man. Move on and get a life.

Re: iHeart (83,924) (83,926) by Tevin from USA
I agree. We know the parts she lipped, the parts she song with the backtrack, but she sang pretty good and live for most of the entire performance minus a few notes and climax parts. I thought GTFO was a bit of a mess, but it was her first time performing this live.
But ABMB, was awesome. The crowd was feeling it. She walked a long way by herself lol, and the start talking to the crowd in the black coat reminded me of her Daydream concert. I was so proud of her. So far minus the usual small number of haters, she is getting great words and reviews from everyone.
Now here comes my fan opinion. 10-10 because I can't remember a live performance yet along a short concert set in front of a live crowd where she put together a good solid performance. 8-10 for me personally, Mariah miss and lows sounded good but she has got to work on or retrain herself to be able to belt and not shout.
Now I wish I would have went to Vegas.

She sounded amazing in my opinion. Her voice hasn't sounded this good in years. I'm very happy for her. I haven't posted a link on here before so I hope I did it correctly. Sorry just wanted to add that link was for the proper broadcast video.

Re: iHeart (83,920) (83,923) by Lee from UK
At this point, Mariah is breaking my heart. Why is she still recording songs that she can't sing live and then trying to "sing" them live accompanied by a backing track. It was painfully obvious on It's Like That where the track kicked in. I just wish she would stop shouting her songs. They were not originally recorded in a shouty voice so I don't get what the problem is. If she has a microphone, could she not just sing normally and let the sound engineers increase the volume. Alternatively, could she re-learn how to project without shouting? She didn't do a whole lot of moving (thank the gods) so I don't understand why she was so out of breath. Was her wig too heavy? Sewn on too tight?
