Libra here too, cusp of Scorpio Oct 22. Aries (Mariah) and Libras have chemistry.

I'm a scorpio, the only zodiac signs I can match with, are a libra or another scorpio. Yes, you guessed it, I'm single.

Ooh. Yes; how amazing would it be if MC re-recorded her first album as an acoustic album.

Just one more time with Walter A. (100,761) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I know that I am probably beating a dead horse with wanting MC to collaborate with Walter A. again. Their collaborations made people like MC's gorgeous melodies, prolific lyrics and vocals. MC needs to forgive Walter and bring her career full circle with another album of Walter A. and Mariah Carey songs. MC doesn't realize that she will never have another #1 Hot 100 again until she collaborates with Walter again. The lack of Walter A. songs on her albums since 1997, have yielded at most album fillers and few songs of substance. I truly feel Walter A.'s chords brought out the genius in Mariah that we haven't seen since Butterfly. I say somebody like L.A. Reid or Karen Kwak should arrange a studio date for Mariah and Walter A. I would say Tanaka, but he may be put in the doghouse if he tried to make the arrangement. He has too much to lose. Lol. Just my thoughts after remembering what Babyface did for Toni Braxton's career.

Re: Thoughts: which album do you think MC dislikes (100,754) (100,759) by Bill from the UK
The debut, as she only got to produce one song (Vanishing), and she said the album seemed over produced to her. She never worked with any of those big named producers ever again (Ric Wake, Rhett Lawrence, Narada Michael Walden), so she clearly didn't rate their output. Emotions was much more organic and acoustic sounding.

I'm also a libra. TJ (Tony J) has been my name here since the very beginning of this board. Daydream and one more album was released on my birthday (best gifts ever). To all the new lambs: stay calm, listen to Mariah Carey.

We all make grammar and spelling mistakes. Do you see how I butchered the spelling of prolific?

Re: Narada Michael Walden (100,745) (100,756) by Bill from the UK
Thanks for posting that. He's not how I imagined him. I'm unsure if the four songs he mentions includes those he produced but didn't write? Only one composition of theirs ended up on the album (I Don't Wanna Cry), and I Lose Control never made it onto the album (though hearing Penny Ford's version, I'd love to hear Mariah's 1990 version which NMW has).

So, I wonder if they wrote more together? Apparently Mariah felt he was too domineering and didn't like the title of the song and said she would have named it something else. Shame they never worked together again as IDWC is superb, and the Daydream tour live version was great at every stop of the tour (especially London, which I attended).

Re: Top ten proflic song lyrics (100,746) (100,755) by Bill from the UK
And so we finished the Moet
Started feeling liberated
And I surrendered as you took me in your arms
I was so caught up in the moment
I couldn't bare to let you go yet
So I threw caution to the wind
And started listening
To my longing heart

Then you softly pressed your lips to mine
And feelings surfaced I'd suppressed for such a long time
And for a while I forgot the sorrow and pain
And melted with you as we stood there in the rain

I mean wow. And who else would rhyme Moet with liberated lol.

Thoughts: which album do you think MC dislikes (100,754) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
What do you guys think Mariah's least favourite album musically is? (Not commercially or public option based, just in Mariah's heart. This is all speculation for fun.) What album do you think MC personally dislikes the most out of her expansive catalog?

I know her least favourite isn't Glitter, she's always trumpeted that album, along with TEOM, and of course her absolute favourite; Butterfly. We know that Butterfly is her favourite, so I thought the opposite game might be fun.

Thank you for explaining and I'm sorry Stacey, fellow Libra lol. That makes perfect sense and I didn't mean to spell your name wrong. I agree that we should not take everything on here so seriously. At the end of the day, it is all just an opinion from someone somewhere and we can choose to ignore if we don't like it. We're all here because we have something in common, our love for MC and her musical genius.

I know IDWC was not a favorite of MC. I'm glad she sung it again for her Vegas residency. It has such a haunting melody. It's a favorite ballad of mine.

All the magic's gone, just a shadow of a memory
Something just went wrong.
We can't go on make believing, on make believing

Re: Top ten proflic song lyrics (100,749) (100,751) by Stacey from USA
Melt Away. Such a great song off the best album ever, Daydream. And can we talk about the second verse where she layers her whisper over full voice. Chills.

Looking In is my theme song.

You look at me and see the girl
Who lives inside the golden world
But don't believe
That's all there is to see
You'll never know the real me

She smiles through a thousand tears
And harbors adolescent fears
She dreams of all
That she can never be
She wades in insecurity
And hides herself inside of me

Don't say she takes it all for granted
I'm well aware of all I have
Don't think that I am disenchanted
Please understand

It seems as though I've always been
Somebody outside looking in
Well here I am for all of them to bleed
But they can't take my heart from me
And they can't bring me to my knees
They'll never know the real me

Re: Vocabulary (100,748) (100,750) by Stacey from USA
At least spell my name right, lol. P.S. My birthday is in October and I'm a libra as well.

I don't use the terms "faceless" and "nameless" as put downs. It's your choice to take them as such, but that is not my intention. That is how I see everyone here and how I believe you should see me too. Why? Keeping that perspective helps me not to take any discussion or personal attacks spoken about me so seriously.

I used to get all hot and bothered by what was said about me 20+ years ago when I started posting online during the Charmbracelet era. Remember the pink MC.com boards? Fun times. I started collecting MC's promo CDs and discovered this site. I would take things so personally, try and prove others wrong, wasting so much of my time, and for what? I guess 20 years later I'd rather worry about things that are in front of me: my hubby, three kids, my job, etc., and not take what someone hundreds, thousands of miles away thinks of me so personally.

Sure I'll entertain a discussion as I have for the past few days. But at a certain point as I told Bill, you need to get it go. It was my opinion and he could make his own choice. I come here to discuss all things Mariah and keep it light. Simple as that. Carey on.

You and me in a cloud of reverie
Spin around inside my head unendingly
Thoughts run wild as I sit and rhapsodize
Pretty pictures of what I'd do if you were mine

Who uses rhapsodize in a song, the one and only, Mariah Carey. So sad she doesn't write lyrics like that anymore. They were so poetic. After Charmbracelet, her writing style changed significantly.

Well, you know to Stacy we're all nameless and faceless people on the internet. That works for me too because unless I want to get to know anyone here better, you won't find my name or face. Too many trolls out there.

My All. "Emblazoned on my mind." I love those obscure words MC fits into her songs. Inferiority complex from How I Wish You Knew is another one.

Narada Michael Walden (100,745) by Norman from USA
Here's an interview he did recently where he talks about first working with Mariah on her debut album, specifically about writing IDWC with her. It's a long interview and very interesting, but only the first part is really about Mariah. There's also a first part to this interview where he talks about working with Whitney on I Wanna Dance with Somebody if you're interested. He's quite the characters.
