Mariah's Cookies fail (102,246) by Brad from USA

It had been a minute since I last ordered Mariah's Cookies, so I thought I would order them today. To my mind, the pleasure of them wasn't just their relatively good flavors but also that they were delivered to your home and they were already warmed. Well, it seems those days are over. I used the Mariah's Cookies app to try to order for delivery in my area and delivery is no longer available. I was directed to DoorDash and I can't find them on that app either. I called the local restaurant (Bertucci's) that used to deliver them and the person indicated "yeah, technically you could come here and get them but I haven't had anyone ask for them". Bertucci's is also going out of business in my area.

Clearly, something is bust with the former business model for these cookies and they haven't exactly taken off in my area (Connecticut). Have folks had different experiences than my own? For what it's worth, even though they were costly, I enjoyed them and liked the flavors and the fact that they arrived at your front door warm.

I live for this moment, Roe and North were super cute and they did an additional TikTok by themselves celebrating Riri's B-day. I'm so happy for Kim, she and her sisters are such huge fans, they are always playing her music in the background around the year dahling. The fact that they posted the video at the same time and Mariah has over 1 million more views is crazy aka queen of TikTok. I also love the fact that Kim posted it on her story on Instagram.

This new P!nk album is so good. It is a brilliant piece of work that takes you on a ride through multiple genres. I have just as much P!nk music items as I have of MC. I just hope MC has a new album coming like Trustfall. She needs critics and the pop world to take notice again.

I would love for Mariah to work with Blood Orange/Devonte Hynes again. I loved his first album as Blood Orange and love the "True" EP that he produced with Solange. I always wished that Solange had cut an entire album with him rather than just six or so songs.

Truly. I remembered that this was my jam from 2013 like Mariah moved me an inch closer to God especially on the part "Truly God is my salvation." Like girl. Why you hafta bring all the hokiness on earth. I hope she can do a song like this again.

So I was in the car today, and Caution (the song) was playing. A mate in the car said "is she saying bullshit?" And then I listened and around the 2:15 mark after the bridge when she's singing "Caution, caution caution...", there is one or two of them that sounds like bullshit. Could almost make sense given she then says "don't be dishonest..."

I was thinking this morning how MC's You're Mine (Eternal) and Keyshia Cole's Stubborn definitely have that Rodney Jerkins signature sound. Then I thought about wouldn't it be cool if MC released an album of her favorite album tracks re-imagined by the same producer. Here are my five favorites that I would like re-imagined:

I am pretty sure some type of compliation is going to be available in MC's store this fall. That seems to be the pattern she has been doing since the MC 30 vinyls. Hopefully, it will be a Rarities 2 compliation and a new album.

I'm not saying Mimi can't shine at a Superbowl performance, but I will say don't ever count her out. When they think that she can't do something, she sets out to prove them wrong. The Emancipation of Mimi, for example. She just needs to focus, her catalogue speaks for itself. Now, where the hell is new album and The Rarities 2?

I am not sure Mariah would be all that interested in doing a Superbowl half time show - the workload required would be massive. I think it would be awesome if they did a "Divas Live" type setup with a bunch of 'divas' sharing the stage - Mariah, Ariana, Madonna, Celine, Beyonce, Gaga, Whitney on the screen - I'd tune in.

I definitely think she's got a lot songs in the vault that were supposed to go into Caution. The return of Memoirs and Flowers from Miley whose career was supposedly over just shows anything is possible. It is just a right song and right timing. I would like Mariah do something like Love Me Like You Do or Diamonds. I really love A No No and I wouldn't be surprised that goes viral at some point.

I think Caution paved the way to AIWFC's resurgence in some way and eventually topping the charts for the first time. It opened this generation's minds that she is a creative artist.

I don't think so. Remember that she is in her 50s and life is inevitable. If she puts out everything, she wouldn't have any legacy posthumous recordings. Although it's best to have it released while she is alive.

So I was bored and I asked ChatGPT, the new AI software, to write me a Mariah Carey song. The lyrics though a little generic at some points, read like something out of a 90s Mariah Carey song. Anyway even though I was doing this as an experiment, I do wonder if AI does take off, how is that going to affect songwriters and copyrights. I truly hope it won't lessen the value of true songwriters.

I think Rihanna should've waited for the next Super Bowl. The halftime performance was visually stunning, but the energy wasn't there. If Mariah could walk unaided and with her 90's voice, she could've definitely pulled this off better than Rihanna. When Mariah was in control of her voice, she exuded confidence and put it all out there. I could see a Madison Square Garden Daydream Mariah pulling this off, but right now, she shouldn't even entertain the idea. She would probably get to the Halftime late anyway.

I just found my CD copy of MC's September 11, 2009 concert at Pearl in Las Vegas. I recorded it from a download link on the old Mariah Daily website. Her vocals are phenomenal. Does anyone else have it on Mp3 or CD? 18 songs were sung on the first night out of 4 nights for the residency.
